Extremely disappointed with our DJ choice of using Music Express. I had been in contact with Rick throughout the booking process, but then a woman who I had never spoken to or heard about showed up as our DJ the day of the wedding. It was also never explained to me that the DJ was not going to announce our small wedding party. I've never been to a wedding where the DJ did not announce the bride and groom. Luckily, a friend of ours was a good sport and was able to do it at the last minute. Rick should of mentioned this when I sent him the list of the titles and names of the people to be announced. Then the DJ asked if I wanted her to announce the names of the people doing the toasts. I was confused as she had said she wouldn't announce the wedding party, but she will announce other things? The music was ok, until she did played Rihanna's S & M song. Umm, completely inappropriate for a wedding. Be sure to put this on your Do Not Play list if you don't want it played as apparently this isn't a given. We hired Music Express mostly because of the price. However, you usually end up getting what you pay for and in this case I wish we researched a bit more before hiring Music Express. Not recommended. Hiring Music Express was the one thing I would have changed if we could have done it all over again.

They had all of the music we requested, and did well playing the Japanese music we gave to them. They set up a projector and screen for our video slide show, which all went very smoothly. They did not go above and beyond, but we had no problems and they were a great value.

Very responsive and helpful during the planning process. I never met my DJ until the day of my wedding but I felt confident and relax with his service since I was talking back and forth via email. This DJ did a really good job in providing my playlist.

Rick is very flexible, friendly, and accommodating. We are very particular about our music, and appreciated that we could pick out songs. While some DJs allow you to choose a handful of songs, Rick is more flexible. I recommend calling to talk things over with him for your exact arrangements. He is very easy to talk to and customer oriented. His prices are also very reasonable. He did a nice job as an emcee, helping the program to move along, without being intrusive or talking too much. There were a couple songs we wanted as must-play, that he did not have (granted we have obscure music, but he also said he would be able to get any song, and we could also provide the song if necessary), so this was disappointing. However, I feel that had we emphasized and followed up to make sure the songs we listed were available, he would have them. Overall, things went well, and aside from some minor problems, we really enjoyed Rick as a DJ and would recommend him.

Rick was great and kept the music going. The only mishap was her started to play the wrong song when the bridal party walked down the aisle but he changed it and got the right song on for them! Besides that he was great and a great MC as well! I would recommend to anyone!

Working with Rick from Music Xpress was great. He was flexible and responsive to our requests. Rick knew how to keep the crowd moving on the dance floor and did a good job emcee-ing our wedding as well. I would highly recommend his services.

When we first me Rick Peralta we knew he would be our DJ - he's SO friendly, warm and professional. He went out of his way to meet us at our wedding location (twice), he explained the details of how/where he would set up and even gave us a few tips on our wedding location. You can also choose your own songs (that was a great feature for us) and he was extremely flexible with our situation of having to change the venue the day before...and even last minute changes the day-of.

We had many compliments on how great the music was at our reception. DJ allowed us to give a list of specific songs that we wanted to hear and play songs off of CDs that we gave to him/her. We were very happy with this vendor.
