Shelly - I wish I could find the words!
My mother in law convinced me to seek help while planning our wedding about 10 months before our wedding. I am a very DIY kind of gal, and the thought made me cringe a little; however, just minutes into our first meeting, I realized how fantastic it would be to have Shelly's assistance throughout the remainder of our engagement.
Shelly was nothing but supportive about preserving the overall "feel" we were going for. She not only entertained the sometimes wild ideas I had, but encouraged them and found ways to make them work. I never once felt like I needed to suppress my wants or settle on any decision, which was a huge fear of mine! Shelly is incredibly professional, warm, understanding, and determined to implement the day of your dreams. I have heard nothing but glowing feedback from our guests about our wedding, and I attribute most of this success to Shelly's ability to absorb our vision and guide us in the right direction.
I learned after the fact about several nightmare-inducing glitches that happened, which Shelly handled in the most appropriate of ways. I have yet to find a thing that freaks that lady out! I am eternally grateful that I had no idea any of these things were happening until later. It really was the day of our dreams.

From my first meeting with Heidi, I knew she would be great to work with. She is a great listener, gives helpful advice & is a fun personality to boot.
We planned our Eugene wedding from Portland, and I was daunted by the prospect of researching & meeting with various vendors in Eugene. Heidi was able to provide suggestions for everything, many vendors of which she already had good working relationships. I would drive down to Eugene, she would have all our appts. booked & she would tote me around town meeting with potential vendors.
At first, I felt like a "deer in head lights" when vendors would drill me about my ideas for the wedding. Thankfully, Heidi already knew what I was going for, & would be able to "fill in" if I was lost or overwhelmed.
During the wedding planning process, Heidi was ready to assist with any questions or concerns that came up. She also made sure we didn't overlook anything important. As organized as I am, I definitely felt like I was "winging it," and it was nice to rely on her experience to rest-assured that it would all work out.
The day of the wedding, Heidi & her Moxie staff set the tables, staged the welcome tables, bars, kids' area & dessert tables, hung the paper crane backdrop & addressed every detail in between. It was SO nice to able to relax the day of the wedding & get ready knowing that Heidi & her crew were at the site, taking care of everything we had planned, and anything else that might have come up.
The ceremony & reception were obviously a blur, but a "happy, relaxed blur," knowing that Heidi & her staff were there to make sure everything was taken care of.
The most common feedback we received from our guests was, "Best wedding ever." I may be biased, but I thought it went rather well. ;) Thank you, Heidi & Moxie Events!
This beautiful event could not have come together without "Moxie Events" planning and encouragement during all these months. Throughout the preparation they inspired confidence which allowed us to always be able to sleep at night! I am so appreciative of Shelly and her staff. On the day of, Shelly handled herself very professionally, she was thoughtful, inquisitive, responsive, open, creative,on the ball, available, attentive, and focused.

Best wedding planning decision we made by far!
The groom was not convinced a wedding coordinator was a good idea at first, but after meeting Heidi and seeing her and her staff in action it was clear that it was one of the better decisions that we made. Heidi patiently answered our questions in the months leading up to the event and got to know us both so that she could ensure that our wedding was exactly as we envisioned it. Day of the event was a breeze as Moxie's staff made everything flow perfectly and solved the minor hiccups of the day so that we didn't have to bother with them. Day after the wedding we both realized what an amazing decision it was to hire Moxie.
I would highly recommend the gals at Moxie to help in coordinating your wedding or other special event. Heidi and Shelly are professional, caring, talented, creative, and fun! They helped us to create the wedding of our dreams!
Our wedding was at the property of a family friend and we needed to create the venue from scratch and deal with a lot of logistical issues to make things happen the way we wanted. Heidi was amazing in guiding us through the process. My husband and I are both very organized and used to planning and executing projects, but I don't know what we would have done without Moxie. Their experience working with vendors and the logistics of a large event is invaluable. Heidi worked with us every step of the way to make sure we didn't forget any details that needed covered and helped provide that peace of mind that there wouldn't be any surprises....and if there are (as there are at any event the day of!) Heidi and Shelly plus their team of people are right there to deal with it smoothly and professionally. I felt more than comfortable letting go of the details before the rehearsal and just letting the weekend flow and I knew Heidi and Shelly would deal with any details that came up. And they did! Moxie's day of coordination is top notch. So many guests commented to us that the wedding and reception were amazing and they marveled at how it all seemed so effortless - and we know that is all due to the behind the scenes work by Heidi and Shelly.
Moxie will help make sure your wedding is your vision and they will enhance every detail of your day. They work cooperatively with all other vendors and are well worth the money. They are easy to work with and responsive to customer needs and preferences. I can't recommend them enough!
Shelly Kane and her team at Moxie Events were truly fantastic to work with! When you begin planning a wedding you have a million questions. It’s such an important event and you want it to be perfect, but it’s something you usually have no experience in. Shelly was someone we could consult with on every aspect of the wedding. She was a tremendous resource. Not only is she skilled and knowledgeable in her field, but she also is incredibly patient and kind. She was the epitome of professionalism throughout the entire process. She assisted us through our wedding planning, never imposing her opinions, but guiding us to our decisions while ensuring that our vision and dreams were always kept first in mind. She connected us with many of our vendors who were all highly talented and wonderful to work with. The best value was having her as the day-of coordinator to manage everything from the setup and takedown, to the orchestration of events and vendors. It was so important to me that our family and friends be able to enjoy the day with us and not have to worry about all of the many last minute details. On the morning of the wedding, we could all relax knowing that the Moxie team was on top of everything. One of the greatest compliments we received from our guests was that there was great flow to our wedding and that everything moved along seamlessly. Shelly and her team helped accomplish this. There is simply no way our wedding could have been the success that it was without their help!

As a former event planner and lifelong perfectionist, I had very high standards for my wedding. From ensuring every detail was planned in advance to perfectly setting up the reception space, the Moxie team went above and beyond. I particularly appreciated how discretely, quickly and thoughtfully trouble-shooted unanticipated issues as the arose (EVERY event has a few unexpected hiccups, but thanks to Moxie none of my guests had any idea and I didn't have to deal with anything!).

We recently moved to Colorado soon after we were engaged, and knew that we had to plan our wedding in Oregon, where my husband and I are both from. Originally we thought we could do it all ourselves in order to save money, but after attending my cousin's wedding in the summer, we knew we needed some help- especially since we were planning long distance. We recruited Heidi and Shelly to help us about 4 months away from the date of our wedding (after many of our vendors sang their praises when we asked for recommendations). Boy, were they right! Heidi and Shelly are AMAZING and worth every penny and then some. We ended up having to change our venue last minute and they were able to take it in stride. Many of our guests said that it was the most beautiful wedding they had attended, and I can't help but say that it was all Moxie! We will never forget our special day and we are so grateful to have had the experience of working with the best wedding planners money can buy. If I can give brides one piece of advice: hire a Moxie planner, you won't regret it.

Planning a wedding from 1500 miles is a daunting task, but Shelly and Heidi made it extremely easy. They were very accommodating, taking time out of their busy schedules to Skype with us to make sure we covered all of the details. They also traveled to our location to draw out a plan for the ceremony and reception. Their help in planning the wedding was awesome, but nothing was greater than providing a peace of mind on our wedding day. They made sure every detail ran smoothly and on time, from the first look to walk down the aisle to cutting of the cake. I can say that my wife can be a worrier, but it was great to see her so relaxed knowing that Heidi and Shelly had everything under control. In my opinion, there are no better wedding planners than Moxie!!
Shelly did the wedding planning for my daughters wedding helping us organize everthing from cake to catering DJ's etc. She stayed on top of all the details and everything was wonderful. I would highly recommend her she calm wonderful to work with as very organized!
Moxie Events and Shelly Kane are AMAZING! I actually never planned to hire a wedding planner for my wedding. But once I met with Shelly I kept adding more of her services! I originally hired her to just do day-of coordination but once I got to know her and see the amazing work that she does I decided to add on the planning package as well. Working with Shelly took so much weight off my shoulders. I was able to relax knowing that Shelly had everything under control. Having that peace of mind on my wedding day was PRICELESS! Seriously, I have NO regrets hiring Shelly and it was worth EVERY penny. I highly recommend Moxie events to EVERY bride, even if the Bride is not planning on hiring a wedding planner. Look into Moxie Events anyways, as I said the services that they provide are priceless and will make the whole wedding planing process much more enjoyable.

Shelly also is able to offer names of quality vendors you might not be aware of. I had high expectations and was very pleased with her services. You will not be disappointed!

Shelly and her staff could not be more amazing. Shelly was a truly a pro from start to finish. She is organized, pays attention to detail, and has the experience to make your big day all that you dreamed it would be! I hired Shelly for planning, setup, and takedown and she didn't disappoint in any aspect. She was so good, in fact, that I actually had several vendors and guests ask for her contact info at the wedding. Several people remarked to me that they have never seen someone so organized without being stressed or more importantly, without stressing out the bride and groom. Shelly also has centerpiece and miscellaneous rentals available- which is a great idea if you are trying to have a green wedding (no waste) and very convenient.
Shelly seriously MADE our event- from start to finish none of it would have been possible without her! You will not be disappointed if you hire Shelly- she is hands down the best and I have no hesitation about recommending her to anyone!
Shelle was so great to work with. She reviewed ideas with us that we hadn't even thought of. Every little detail was covered. I wish we had her the day of the wedding because she knew all of our details better than the venue folks and I know would have been on top of making sure everything was covered. She was very easy to work with, upbeat, and responded very quickly. I would highly recommend Shelle Weddings.
Shelly and her staff are wonderful! We would have never been able to pull of such a wonderful day as we did with out her services every step of the way. I highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding! After you set a date, the next step should be to hire Shelly as you wedding planner! Seriously! She is not just a five star rating she is a ten.
I could not have made it through the wedding planning process without Shelly Kane. She was reccommended to me by Passion Flower (my florist) and hiring Shelly was the best decision ever. I knew the planning would create tension between my daughter (the bride) and myself, I purchased Shelly's complete package. She helped with everything but the reception clean up (and I should have hired her crew for that as well). She worked well with all my other vendors especially with Parties-to-Go who supplied tables, tents, dinnerware, linens, etc... As the wedding and reception took place in my home and garden and with my daughter living out of state the majority of work fell on my husband & I. Shelley worked with me on site, she asked great questions, made sure items didn't fall through the cracks, made good suggestions. She kept me apprised of everything and was so easy to work with. But most importantly she made everything come together beautifully. She removed so much stress from me. I do not know how I would have made it through the actual wedding day without her. And she was FUN!
