At first, I had doubts about flying the photographer out from Michigan for our California wedding, but every aspect proved it was the right thing to do. Brandon flew out personally, with his wife Emily. A lovely couple, they were there for the whole weekend. Not only did they capture the essence of the wedding and days surrouding it, but put a focus on exactly what we wanted, all the way down to getting those perfect expressions on everyone's face. They even helped with logistics, and helped provide a timeline for some of the smaller aspects that we didn't even think of. The level of professionalism and knowledge was extremely high, and we didn't even think of them as photographers - they quickly just became part of the family, and melded into the atmosphere so well that the subtle capture of true emotion in the pictures is unmatched. The quality was so high, that during a preview of the pictures on Brandon's laptop, my new wife couldn't help but go into a quasi-embarrassing rant about how great they were! day is one of the most important decisions in planning a wedding. The
pictures that adorn your walls for the rest of your lives must be able
to entice thoughts, feelings and senses twenty years from now that are
the same as those that you experience on that special day. This can
only truly happen if your wedding photographer is one that not only
understands the importance of this day, but understands you individually
and as a couple. Brandon at Modern Photography was that perfect
photographer for us, but he was also so much more. In Brandon we had a
photographer who was there to capture every moment of our wedding day,
without being a part of every moment of our wedding day. In other
words, he was able to work behind the scenes and capture the moments
without orchestrating them. He also acted as a pseudo wedding planner,
blocking the little issues of the day from making their way to the bride
and groom. Brandon is very full of life, but that should not be
misinterpreted, as the professionalism and experience that he has is
reflected in both his pictures and his demeanor on your wedding day. We
were truly blessed to have had Brandon and Modern Photography on our
wedding team and can't wait to watch as he captures our lives for years
