  Mike was a fabulous DJ. He really helped us throw a fabulous party. We were a destination wedding couple and our wedding musician was from out of state. Mike helped make sure he had all the equipment he would need for the ceremony.
  Throughout the whole day Mike is listening to what is going on and modifying the music to set the appropriate mood. During our vows my husband mentioned our love for Star Wars so while we were waiting for everyone to line up for our grand exit Mike played the Star Wars soundtrack. It was a perfect way to end the night.

  Better than expected! We have seen Mike at Kings, Galaxy and UCLA games so we knew he had energy, but he made it original, funny and entertaining. Professional, helpful and gave us great ideas and suggestions like a wedding consultant. Once he took over , everything became perfect. We owe so much gratitude to Mike and all of our other vendors.

  Our wedding was a total success and Mike played the right music and is amazing on the microphone. He is a true entertainer. Thank you Mike for making our wedding reception exactly what we wanted, fun and electric! His experience and reputation with our friends who recommended him is what made us confident he would do a great job. A real professional.

  The perfect DJ. A voice that is the best we've ever heard, the music was exactly what we wanted and he is hilarious. My Dad said he is worth every penny. Professional and made it so easy and smooth. HIGHLY recommend.

  Mike did an amazing job. He married us and made the reception better than we ever dreamed. He made everyone laugh and dance! We are so happy and Mike made sure that our wedding was better than perfect. My Dad is still talking about how much fun he had! :)

  From start to finish, Mike made us excited about how much fun the reception would be. He creates an electricity that gets everyone dancing, smiling and he is hilarious when he emcee's the toasts. Worth every penny! Thanks Mike!

  Mike acted as our DJ, Emcee, and pretty much wedding planner and coordinator. His recommendations for cake and photographer were amazing and helped save us money. Mike performed our friends wedding and was still able to make our reception unique. My parents danced and they NEVER dance! Yay!! A great reception all around!

  Are you kidding me? Mike is the best wedding DJ we have ever seen so we had to use him. He did our friends wedding, my sisters, and now mine. Lots of people after the fact complain that things do not go perfectly we were told. Some other aspects of our weddings were different than expected but we had a FABULOUS day. Mike was the highlight and finished it all off with fun. His talents as a professional announcer and comedian shine through.

  Did a fantastic job and kept everyone dancing, laughing, and most of all played music that flowed. The toasts were GREAT and the comedy was a great touch. More than a DJ. This was best entertainment I have ever seen at a wedding. I'm glad it was ours! our friends loved it.

  Mike Lavender was great to work with. I gave him a list of the songs I wanted to play during the ceremony and a general idea of the music for the reception and he did an excellent job of putting everything together. Everyone loved the reception music! He did a great job and I would highly recommend his services.

  When it came time for us to find a DJ we searched and searched online for literally hours. We were so disappointed with what we saw - the DJ's all seemed over priced and cheesy. One even offered DJ AND Margarita services!?!?!? Mike Lavender was the very last DJ we came across and it was the simplicity of his website that drew us in. No frills, no gimmicks, just straight to the point and very reasonable. When we found out that he was available we were thrilled. He definitely did not disappoint. Mike did everything that we asked of him and more. Throughout our evening he played songs from our playlist, got our guests dancing and even made his own toast to us. Don't be fooled by other DJ's because Lavender Entertainment is by far the best in town!

  I was unable to perform this wedding due to a sudden death in my immediate family. I spoke on the phone with the bride and she was very understanding. I made arrangements for a replacement and gave the $300 deposit to the backup DJ. I never heard back from anyone until this review. No phone call, email, text communications were made post wedding until this review and it does not reflect the conversation we had on the phone regarding my family situation. In 14 years, it is the only wedding I have ever had to find a back up.
