Jeanne Miles at Mervis was an absolute joy to work with--very responsive to all of our questions and emails, knowledgeable, professional, and just a really nice person. We also really liked the personalized attention one gets at Mervis--instead of standing at the jewelry case and looking at the rings there, (at least at the Friendship Heights location) Mervis brings you back to a personal room and brings different selections to you, based on what you're interested in. We really appreciated having the time and space to look and decide. We got my engagement ring there, as well as both of our wedding bands, and should we ever be in the market for diamonds again, Mervis will definitely be the first place we return to.

We are both pleased with our wedding rings. When Chris proposed I was surprised and happy to know we were getting ready to plan our wedding and lives together. It was nice to hear he went to the trunk show at mervis and bought my engagement band. He did a wonderful job at picking out the ring on his own and it fits perfect. We both then had the chance to go back and pick our wedding bands that we exchanged during our ceremony on July 31st, 2010. Mervis was great at buffing and cleaning my engagement band before the wedding so it looked shiny and new to go with the wedding band. I can't tell you how much I love the ring as the diamonds and quality are great and the service is always remarkable and professional. The best presentation of how to purchase a diamond available on the web says the "groom" and the consultant we worked with via international waters was simply exceptional at her job. Each selection, fitting was first hand quality and the final picture of rings true beauty as an expression of commitment of what wedding rings/bands symbolize. Both my husband and I bought our rings at Mervis. My family has actually used Mervis for several occasions and keep coming back due to their great customer service. I bought my ring at a great discount during a trunk show and my husband bought his ring for a much better price than other stores were selling it for. I also appreciate how invested Mervis is in finding you the right ring whereas other jewelry stores we looked at seemed to be filled with snake oil salesmen. I will go back to Mervis for all my future jewelry!

There is probably not much more that I can say that others have not already said. We shopped at the Tysons Corner store in Fairfax. They staff were friendly, educated us, and helped us find exactly what we wanted. We were happily surprised to find rings that were more than we expected we could afford, at affordable prices. My husband spent a lot of time researching a great local jeweler. He had his grandmother's stone reset and Mervis was outstanding. We went back and purchased both of our wedding bands from them. I would definitely do pricing research before buying, however, they are great to work with and are very accommodating.

Ashley at Mervis (Tyson's Corner) was great! She worked with us to find exactly the right rings! The groom worked with her first to buy the engagement ring - she provided the necessary support and helped him find exactly what he was looking for in a ring. Ashley seemed much more interested in our happiness and less interested in any commission she might earn. She is very pleasant to work with, is flexible and willing to work with your schedule, and makes sure you get what you are looking for! We came away with rings that make us extremely happy and we didn't have to pay a fortune!

My fiance and I stopped by Mervis after several friends recommended them. Elle Perron was very helpful and gave us tons of useful information about what to look for. There were several diamonds that we like but we decided to shop a bit more before making a final decision. There was no need for that! After visiting countless mall stores and several reputable independant stores, we knew Mervis was the place. Elle was very helpful when we called to schedule an appointment and helped us get the diamond mounted and the ring sized the same day that we made our final selection. They truly do offer the most amazing quality and value and there really is no need to go anywhere else.

Loved our experience with the engagement ring so much that we also purchased our wedding rings from Mervis. We didn't have a lot to spend but they made us feel like VIP every time we went in.

Mervis helped my fiance design an engagement ring just for me: And it's perfect! They resized my ring for free (twice), checked to make sure the diamond wasn't compromised when I banged the ring a few months out, and gave it a free cleaning prior to the wedding. They were quick, efficient, and friendly every time. We are customers for life!

I'm not sure of the cost, so I can't really comment on the value for cost, but I will say this. I was not a real jewelry person, so my husband was very smart in warming me up gradually to the engagement ring idea.

I felt a little uncomfortable at some of the jewelry places. For example, a shop touted its designer rings for their name brands (which I had never heard of and frankly I card more about quality of the ring and metal than which designer had stamped its name brand on it), or another had a saleslady wearing too much blingy jewelry and too much makeup who tried to gush about something that was not my taste.

Mervis, by contrast, took us for a calm appointment, where my fiance and I sat and looked at different shapes and qualities of diamonds to compare and figure out what we liked. They even left us alone with them and let us try them in different settings to see what I felt comfortable with. It was a totally different, more relaxed experience, and one I really liked.

I am incredibly pleased with my engagement ring, so I highly recommend Mervis.

Mervis Diamond Importers is truly the greatest place to buy jewelry.

First of all, I'm the type of person who has to make sure that I fully research and compare whenever I'm making an expensive purchase. We went to Jared before we stopped by Mervis because my brother-in-law is obsessed with the place. They were pressuring me the whole time to make the purchase that day, when I didn't even have a setting that I was in love with.

The next day, I went to Mervis and I was introduced to Arnie. He showed us a diamond the same exact cut, quality, and carat as the one I saw in Jared, and it was actually $3,000 less expensive than the one I saw in Jared! The diamond sparkled a lot more too. He explained to me that Mervis doesn't charge an origination fee, which other jewelers add on top of their jewelry prices so that they can advertise the 0% financing options.

I was still having a problem finding a setting I loved, so Arnie suggested that I get a simple Tiffany-style ring so that I would be able to get reasonable priced setting that I could replace in the future without feeling like I was wasting money. He also showed me a couple of different diamonds until I was absolutely sure that I was picking the one I loved. Arnie was also very reasonable and helped me get the best diamond for my budget.

I'm so happy with my experience at Mervis that I will be going back to them when I decide to change my setting. I have such a simple diamond ring, but I am constantly getting compliments about how beautiful and sparkly my diamond ring is!
