We heard of Memento Films from a recommendation from our photographer. Like so many of our friends, the ability to hire a videographer for us really came down to our budget and how much money was left over once everything else was paid for. Memento Films had very nice package options for a reasonable price.
We communicated via email entirely leading up to the wedding. Elisa was very quick to respond and made me feel very comfortable with her. I provided her with a list of music for the background and an outline of the day. Otherwise, we really left the vision for the highlights reel and documentary up to her.
We received the video less than 2 months after the wedding. We were absolutely thrilled with the end product. She captured all of the highlights of the day and it was so neat to see how she put it all together and made it fit with the music. Her documentary background was apparent as I felt like I was watching a movie more than a wedding video. She did such a nice job telling the story of the day. She also provided us with the raw footage of our ceremony and the traditional pieces of the reception. I loved this as it allowed us to hear the church music, all of our vows, the speeches and even see the little details that we missed throughout the day.
Looking back, if I had it all to do over again, the only thing I would change would be my prioritization of my budget. I would allocate more money to my wedding video as we were so thrilled with the end product. We really consider it to be an amazing investment in documenting our wedding. Something I can't wait to show our kids...one day.
