Ericka Vetter (Emmett) is one of the most responsive vendors that I have worked with. Any question throughout the planning process was almost immediately answered via email. After months of research and a tasting, we have decided on Marie's Catering, a preferred vendor of The Rialto. This caterer handled The "Brady Wedding" with Adrienne and Chris back in 2006 and continue to cater a lot of the weddings there. I had first thought about bringing another caterer in from another area, but the issue was that the venue (Rialto) had very specific requirements and I definitely need a veteran of the venue to handle it. They are extremely flexible and creative and have worked on customizing are preliminary menu no matter what the request. They actually allowed for us to do a second tasting and we were very specific with the cuisine and service that we wanted for our guests. The taste and product on the wedding day was absolutely perfect! Many people commented that the food was the best "wedding food" they have ever had. I will, however, say that I am a little disappointed in two things. 1. the temperature of the food was not adequate; the dishes were at best luke warm (some not all) and this was at the family tables up close to us. The only forgiveness here is that the facilities at the Rialto are sort of small for food prep and the catering par-cooks the product on the way the. It is very difficult to serve there, but we were expecting what we were promised.. 2. We specifically paid for a 1 per 20 server ratio to insure quick and even food service. I was mortified to look up when I was completely finished eating (30 min passed) to see there were some dinner trays heading out to the guest tables. I do however, feel that the quality of the dish itself probably overshadowed those two points. I just feel a little misled that "everything will be taking care of because we do this all the time" comments made me feel like everything would be perfect. I have a feeling something was not right behind the prep area. Did an oven or warmer go out? Were they short staffed? Did some servers call in? These were all the details that I was not prepared to deal with as the bride and really didn't reflect on until I returned home from honeymoon.
I would book them again if we had that dish to specifications (as they did a wonderful job with) with the appropriate temperature and confirm even serve time. Ericka and her assistant Jaclyn definitely work well with us and their responsiveness shows throughout the planning process. Again, their food quality, taste, and presentation is a notch above other catering companies.

I am so happy with how everything turned out. I got married at the Danada House in Wheaton and they have a list of approved caterers. I looked at all of them and Maries seemed to be the most professional and really seemed to know what they were doing. They really worked with me on prices and did an exceptional job and planning everything. My wedding was perfect in my eyes and I know that I owe so much of that to Ericka and her assistant Jaclyn. They had everything together and did not overlook anything. The food was so good as was the cake. The cake looked amazing. I gave them a picture of what I wanted and it was more beautiful than I could've imagined. If you use them for your wedding or any other event you will not be disappointed. I feel somewhat sad that it's all over and I don't have anything else to use them for at this point.

Working with Marie's was a dream. Ericka was super responsive, organized and professional. She was also really flexible and extended her own work day to accommodate my husband's and my work schedule for pre-wedding meetings and our tasting, which was really wonderful for us. I found their prices to be very reasonable for everything that we got, and also felt that their package was very inclusive of everything we would need-food, bar, linens, cake, etc. I really appreciated how quickly Ericka responded to all of my emails, and the day of she was calm and excited for us, and everything was set up beautifully. Our cake was gorgeous, the bartenders were friendly and everything was set up exactly as it was supposed to be. If there were any problems, I never found out about them, which means the team was able to problem solve and make the day happen without causing us undo stress. I would very highly recommend Marie's Catering!!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Marie's catering. They won us over at our very first meeting. We worked with Ericka and she was unbelievably helpful! We had a full tasting for just the two of us--get the beef, it's the best I've ever had! Ericka helped us plan our whole event--from the meal, to the cake, to the bar, to the timeline. She was patient with us as we wrestled with each decision--what color linens?--and kept us updated on the contract and any price changes along the way. Her staff made sure that all our little details--escort cards, family photos, favors, centerpieces, cake plates, etc, etc., all found their place at the venue. We had so many compliments on the food!!!! Everything was perfect!

I probably corresponded with their wedding coordinator over 100 times. She always gave me very thorough responses. The cost is steep, but the quality is worth it.

Marie's Catering is an amazing place. Granted, it is very expensive, but you get great food and a wonderful wedding coordinator for the price. I probably emailed the woman at least 40 times, and she always responded very thoroughly and energetically. You can pick your cake based on anything you want - find pictures from online or if you have ideas - they are very flexible. The only thing is, if you live in Wheaton, it is a bit of a drive - which is why I did everything by email until the final meeting.

I worked with Erica and she was wonderful. She helped me with every detail. They were very professional and everything moved smoothly the entier night. i could not have had a more perfect day than this. The food was amazing and it was totally worth the money we spent to have them. I would recommend them to anyone.

Marie's offered us amazing food for an excellent price! They were extremely flexible with our requests of an open bar and dessert table in place of a cake. We were able to bring in our own chocolate dipped strawberries to add to our dessert table in place of a cake. When we ran out of different bottles at our bar, they immediately sent out a person to go and replace. Right on top of things...very organized and fun to work with!
