  Had my pre wedding mani pedi. as well as my bridal hair and make-up done here. The staff is absolutely wonderful and everything came out so perfect!

  This place is truly the definition of a luxury spa. It's serene, quiet, and offers spa amenities such as complimentary soda, tea, water, trail mix, cookies and snacks, all within its "Relaxation Room". I booked 10 manicure appointments here for my bridal party the day before my wedding, and it truly was wonderful. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. My shellac manicure appointment was with Sharon, and she did an incredibly meticulous job! My nails looked natural and beautiful on my wedding day and my shellac manicure lasted a full two weeks. And, because we booked our appointments as a group, we were also offered a 25% discount. All in all, I feel that we received excellent service at an amazing value ... and more than that, spending a few quiet moments in Marengo's Relaxation Room offered a much-needed zen moment in the midst of all the wedding craziness! I highly recommend Marengo Luxury spa due to it's professional and friendly staff, convenient location, and spa amenities ... all available at very reasonable prices.

  I believe Marengo Spa is the best Luxury Spa in Cleveland, Ohio. I had my wedding in Cleveland on May 24, 2008 at the Cleveland Marriott downtown at Key Center. I live in Madison and was planning this wedding from afar. Monique, the owner was a gem to work with. She is incredibly responsive via email. She helped me find a cater to have food ready both Friday before the rehearsal dinner as we got our nails done and on Saturday before the wedding as my 7 bridesmaids and mother got our hair and make-up done. We relaxed in the spa reception lobby where there is a beautiful fireplace. I know this was a critical reason why I was so calm the morning of my wedding. Henry did my hair and he is a genius. I was so happy with my hair. We did a trial months before and the final half up-do was perfection. My hair never moved the entire day until evening. I couldn't of been happier. Victoria did my make-up. I am not a girl who wears a lot of make-up and my husband wanted to recognize me when I walked down the aisle. She made me look natural yet sophisticated and it lasted the entire day. I am so happy with Marengo. The staff felt like family and made me so comfortable that entire day. Thank you for making my wedding so much more special.

  Marengo Spa was amazing at what they did! My hair and makeup were exactly what I was looking for...which was an understated vintage look. Working with them to coordinate the day for my wedding party was so easy. And...everyone was extremely professional and nice. The cost for the bridal party was affordable and if you stay at the Hyatt, you get an added discount on some of their services. The price for bridal hair seemed steep. They did an amazing job and I don't really have anything to compare it to...but it was about double what the bridesmaids paid. Overall, I would use (and pay for) their services again in a heartbeat!

  It is worth the money!! I had my own hair designer and met with him a few weeeks before the wedding. He even helped me choose my jewelry!! We went downstairs and found my earrings together! We also scheduled nails & makeup with them. They use the best products & the newest techniques.
  
  The place is very welcoming and accomodated me and my girsl very well. everages and snacks are offered and the staff and service are exceptional! They were very accomodationg to me being late for more than one appointment.

  The major perk is that this salon is in the Arcade - so if you are having your wedding there it makes it easy to go downstairs and get ready in the morning. They were very responsive and easy to set up with - just set up everything early as I believe they fill fast. My trial were great and I loved how everything turned out. The day of, unfortunately the girl who did my makeup trial had a family emergency and couldn't be there. The girl who ended up doing my makeup instead didn't do as great a job - which caused a lot of stress the morning of the wedding but the other stylists in the salon were very interested in making sure it got fixed how I wanted it to. In the end the makeup looked great. My hair stylist was amazing and my hair turned out great as well. He was also great at calming my nerves! The only concern was another patron who was there since the salon is still open to the public. She was nasty to me, my bridesmaids and my photographer (because we were "in her space") which made the morning start out a little rough. Overall, though, I would definitely recommend the salon.

  After my hair trial quite of few on my curls that were pinned back didn't stay in place, I told them this and the stylist said he would make sure they stayed for wedding, they didn't I am disappointed.

  I hate writing bad reviews, but I would not recommend using this Spa for your wedding day.
  
  I would like to start out by saying that my hair on my wedding day came out perfectly, and I loved it. However, I went to the salon and had my hair blow dried straight before my trial. It was an awful experience and my hair looked terrible. I could have done a better job myself. Then when I showed up for my trial, I was made to feel bad about the texture of my hair, when it only looked like that from the previous stylist's bad job. I went to a different salon the day before the wedding and had someone else straighten my hair. My wedding day hair ended up looking fantastic. Also, I complained to the owner about the straightening job, and she was understanding.
  
  However, my bridesmaids and the moms did not have a good experience on the wedding day. First, my bridesmaids came in with simple pictures of what they wanted, and it seems no one could replicate a picture. Out of my 6 bridesmaids, 2 were satisfied with their hair. My maid of honor's hair looked like a bird's nest, and the stylist who did my hair had to fix the other stylist's job. The other girl's didn't have as much time, and so they had to fix each other's hair. It seems that when they made suggestions or complaints, the stylists were either dismissive or difficult about it. My mother in law also needed to have her hair redone.
  
  Additionally, the girls and the moms had their makeup done. I would say half of the girls were satisfied and half were not. My mother's makeup looked awful, and she had to just go up to the room, wash it off, and have my sister in law apply her makeup.
  
  It's unfortunate that the services we received were so unsatisfactory, because the owner of the Spa, Monique, was so lovely. She was extremely responsive, flexible, professional, and kind. However, based on the outcome of the hair and makeup for my wedding party, I could never recommend this Spa/Salon to anyone.
