I have to say that we enjoyed the food. However the handling of trying to communicate what services you need and talking with a contact was like pulling teeth. Also, minor details were over looked at reception. They forgot to put the salt and pepper on the tables... did not get the cake cutting help that was in contract and guest were not informed that tea was available.

If I could give them zero stars, I would, but you have to give some sort of rating. You must read this if you *think* you want to hire them. My fiancee and I were looking through caterers and Malone's sounded like a good deal. We first talked with a receptionist lady and then we were able to talk to the owner, Steve Malone. So we called to set up an appointment with him and the first time we called her interrupted me and said "I have another call to take I'll call you back". He sounded rude, but whatever. He called back and we had him on speakerphone and we were explaining to him that we only needed his food service and linen service and not the alcohol or bar setup. We already had it taken care of. Apparently, that wasn't good enough for him and he went into this rant about how the person serving NEEDS to be licensed, insured, and bonded. Well that isn't the case with our venue, as long as we have someone serving it with a bartender's license, that is fine. I told him this and he cut me off and was DEMANDING to know who told me this and wanted her name and phone number to verify. So my fiancce says "look steve, we already have that taken care of, we only need you for the foodservice." and his reply was this, verbatum, "Well I'm not going to do your f*cking wedding!" and he hung up! This is the OWNER that we spoke to!! He was waaay beyond rude, his tone throughout the whole conversation was demeaning. He WILL RIP you off! How could he get so angry because we weren't doing his alcohol through him?? Because he wants to charge you OUTRAGEOUS amounts and get as much money out of you as he can. I urge you to NEVER EVER consider Malone's. The owner will treat you like the scum of the earth and even cuss at you, even though he's never met you, even if its your first time talking to him! Horrible, awful, customer service. The worst ever.

Malone's handled our catering for our early May 2009 wedding. They were great! The food was excellent (everyone raved about the appetizers - buffalo wings and sweet and sour meatballs - and the chocolate fountain, especially) and they transformed our conference hall into a beautiful wedding reception. It was wonderful! Joan H. and Misty are especially great - they helped adjust the contract & small details until everything was right, and followed through on everything per the contract - there's nothing that was missed at all! They did an awesome job! The servers were wonderful, and there was plenty of food for everyone. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars on responsiveness was because there were a few times where it took a little while to get a response back (or I had to send information twice), but I'm sure it was just because they are really busy coordinating other events, too! It was a busy time of the year! Overall, they were wonderful and really helped make our reception what it was. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone - they really did everything for us and made things less stressful for us leading up to the big day! :)
