It was a pleasure to work with Nelly from Lumina Images! She did our engagement session and our entire wedding day. I was very excited to work with her because she is so creative and is able to capture those in the moment natural images of who you are! We had rain showers on our wedding day and that DID NOT stop her from getting amazing images, we still took a chance and went outside for our photos and everything worked out! She edited and posted a slideshow of images at the wedding and the guests were already raving of how gorgeous the photos were (including myself)! I cant wait to see them all!

Nelly was excellent to work with. We had seen some of her previous work and just knew we had to have her as our photographer for our big day. She made us feel so comfortable while shooting both our engagement session and wedding day. We couldn't have asked for better engagement photo's and are anxious to see the ones from our wedding day. Just based on the images she displayed at our wedding we know we will be just as pleased.

Nelly was great at our wedding. She was easy to work with and made us feel very comfortable. She has a phenomenal eye and the preview we saw of our photos was amazing.

Our pictures were everything we were hoping for. Spending the extra money on a good photographer is definately worth it!

Nelly photographed our wedding on 7/30/2011. She arrived on time and was such a great help! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and that is one quality that I can't say enough about... that alone can either make it or break it and let me tell you, she made it such a breeze! It was an unforgettable day and Nelly captured those special moments beautifully. She accompanied us throughout the entire day and I don't know how she does it! She doesn't miss a beat. We had a very nice slide show presentation during the reception which was a great touch. Our guests really enjoyed seeing snapshots of the day. I can't say enough about Nelly... to me, choosing the right photographer was a very important component of the wedding planning process. Investing in someone who you know will deliver, will alleviate a lot of regret in the long-run...! Choose Nelly and you will be satisfied!

Nelly and Chris were great to work with the day of the wedding! They are a great team! We definitely recommend getting their services together for photographer and DJ. Nelly came early, stayed late and was so professional, organized and helpful. I can't wait to see the images!

The men in my family couldn't understand why good photography costs as much as it does. I got a really hard time from them, but I wanted Nelly. Then they saw the way Nelly worked and the finally "got it." That was before they even saw the actual pictures. They just watched the way she captured each moment, and knew it would be great. Now that they have seen the pics, they all shut up! Haha! I researched and researched and kept coming back to her pictures and style. She did a teriffic job!

Nelly is very talented and makes you very comfortable while taking pictures! My husband and I took our engagement pictures and were able to use them for our save the dates and wedding! They of course came out great! The sneak peaks of the photos at the wedding are a huge hit and tease! The guests love them and still talk about them. she does AMAZING work and has a natural eye for photography! She's very fun and friendly to work with. We had lots of fun working with her and Chris on such a special day and will continue to refer people to them! We can't wait to see our photos and albums!

My husband and I absolutely adored working with Nelly of Lumina Images for our July 2011 wedding. She was always professional and such a huge help when I had questions or wanted to adjust timelines and plans. Nelly made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera during our engagement session and portraits on our wedding day. Once it was time for the ceremony and reception, we barely even noticed we were still having our pictures taken. Nelly was one of the first vendors to arrive and the last to leave--she worked so hard for us all day and night and we are so grateful.
Our guests loved watching the slideshow during the reception and raved about the images she shared. We've also gotten many compliments from our other vendors on how wonderful Nelly was for them to work with.
Nelly is SUCH a sweetheart. We can't wait to have her do our children's portraits someday!!

Words can't describe the work, skill, art, vision, emotion that comes
through Nellys work. You just have to see it to believe it. I had never
heard of her but after meeting her and going through her portfolio i
knew she "was the one" i didnt meet with any other photographers i
didnt have to i trusted her i knew she wouldn't let me down. I
connected with her which is very important when picking a photographer
you've got be comfortable and connect on a creative basis or else you
wont be comfortable or happy with the end product. Her pictures show so
much more than just an image they show emotion. She has a way of
capturing moments and things you would normaly just look past and
making them into a beautiful image you can't help but just stare at.
Being new to the business and a team of one her responsiveness and
flexibility are at times lacking BUT definitly worth waiting for.
Coming from a creative person who's studied the field and not to
mention very particular and picky Nelly is THE BEST and will not let
you down. She isn't the same old boring possed family portait type of
photographer her pictures are like art her style is fresh and
different. Nelly Soares is bad ass and my forever photographer!

Nelly did a wonderful job during our engagement session and the entire wedding day. She arrived early and stayed until the end of the reception. She made us feel extremely comfortable, which is what we were looking for in a photographer. We love all of our photos and we able to view the proofs within the 6 month mark (in our contract). We do not have our album yet, but are still trying to work out the details.

Our biggest complaint is the lack of communication. Throughout the album process we contacted several times about where we stand and a timeline of events. It took 4 weeks for a response, and in our eyes that was not acceptable.

Nelly was a photographer for our wedding in 2011. One word can described her work, AMAZING! She was extremely professional with everything. From the minute she showed up to my house until the last picture she took. She was on top of her game with everything and everyone. It seemed as if my other vendors were basically following her lead. She seemed as if she was somewhat of the director with everyone which worked out great. She kept everything in order and made sure we were at our next location when we needed to be. If I had to do it all over again there would be no doubt in my mind to hire Nelly as my photographer. At the wedding reception she played a slideshow of some of the shots she had taken throughout the day. This was totally unexpected and couldn't have been more perfect. The pictures were sooo amazing. The one thing I do have to say is Nelly is not the greatest to get a hold of. On one particular issue sometimes I would have to email her 3-4 times, waiting sometimes two weeks for a response. That was the worst. Other than that I really had no other complaints. Her work is great.

I was married in December of 2010. Nelly was helpful and great at the wedding. 11 months later, and we still have not seen ONE photo from our day. Our contract gave her up to 6 months to deliver an online gallery of proofs. We emailed her several times inquiring about the gallery. We first emailed at 3 months and were told per the contract she had up to 6 months. We emailed many times after the 6 month mark and only received some responses. Mostly excuses, like she was very busy, emails went in spam folder, everything that could have gone wrong did, etc. We sent another email at the 10 (YES 10) month mark, and she stated our gallery would be ready in 2 weeks. That day came and went with no gallery and again no response to our email. My mother, who paid for the photography as our wedding present, called and left a message for Nelly. We still have not heard back from her. On the negative reviews on here she states that she has fixed her customer service issues and responds to all inquiries within 24 hours. This is not true. We are left stressed and wondering if something happened to our photos. We paid for our full package up front and on the time schedule that she asked. It's completely unacceptable that she has not held up her end of the contract. This is not just a customer service issue at this point, it is a legal issue. I would be more understanding of the ridiculous amount of time it takes for images to be processed if we didn't have to chase her down for answers and she came to us first. ALL paying clients should be given the same service. I will always have wonderful memories of my wedding day, I just thought I would have wonderful pictures as well.

Nelly does amazing work and always thinks outside the box for that perfect picture. Nelly makes you feel completely comfortable and confident during her photo sessions with you. I would highly recommend her for anyone's photography needs to capture that special time in their life.

If I could give more than five stars for this vendor I would be more than willing too. She is the best I have seen. Anyone who books wont be dissappointed.

We used Nelly for our wedding. We booked a year in advance and paid her according to her contract as agreed. Here we are 8+months after the fact, and we have nothing to show for it. Nelly is poor at returning calls or communicating the fact. I can not just the quality of service with nothing to judge. I was and still am not impressed with her professionalism- she showed up late, and i have not heard from her in 2 months.
I am impressed with her work, and she does have a great style, but its obvious she is overwhelmed and can not keep up... leaving you waiting for your product. Her contract promises proof 6 months after the event.... STILL WAITING...
