I have never written a review in my life but this is important so I'm doing it. Marty Younkin from LoveNotes performed my wedding just five days ago and I still can't believe how perfect he was for the job.
He came recommended by the resort where we had the wedding and I've never been as happy with a recommendation before! Marty was always easily available to us before the wedding, answered all our questions and even asked questions we hadn't thought of, and let us customize our entire ceremony. He showed up right on time and was incredibly warm and soothing (which I really needed because I was so nervous!).
The ceremony itself, because of Marty, was classy, respectful, joyous, and really just completely perfect. I will literally recommend him to every single bride in the DFW area that I meet for the rest of my life and I'm not kidding. I can't imagine having had anyone else perform my wedding. It was perfect!!

I cannot even begin to tell you what a God sent Marty Younkin and Love Notes was. Marty was not only professional and personable but he gave a humor to our ceremony that fit my husband and I’s personalities to a tee! Everyone at the wedding kept commenting on how much they enjoyed the ceremony and how great Marty was. In addition, the materials that he gave to us to personalize our vows, etc was of great help. I would, hands down, recommend Love Notes and Marty to any Bride looking for an officiant!!

Love Notes did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable. They provided us with a print out of options for the ceremony and we were able to select exactly what we wanted them to say. Carol was our officiant and she was fabulous. She did the ceremony in English and Spanish and our guests where blown away at the ease with which she switched between the two languages. I highly recommend LoveNotes!!

Out of all the money I spent on my whole entire wedding Love Notes was the best money spent! Marty Younkin was awesome! He fits right in with everyone. I was nervous at first since he is the only one who knows absolutely no one, but he is funny, charming, and has a great personality. He makes your day what you want it to be. If you want it to be serious he will be serious if you want it funny he will be funny! You name it he does it! He made our wedding! To this day people are still talking about him and we got married on 12/06/08. My best friend who was at my wedding and getting married on 4/4/09 booked with him after going to my wedding! I do recommend you to do the rehearsal and wedding package because he goes over everything with you and it made it easy on the wedding day because we knew what we were doing! Also, he will meet with you before you even decide to book with him and if you don't think he will fit in with you or your family there are other people he can refer you to at Love Notes.

Marty Younkin was the best minister we could have ever asked for! He was down to earth and very personable. LoveNotes was more than accomodating to our needs. Our only request was that we have fun and be very casual. Everyone that attended agreed that Marty was like an old friend they had known us for years. He made everyone laugh and feel at ease. LoveNotes came highly recommended by three co-workers and we were more than happy with the results!

Ken Byrd was our officiant. He was wonderful!
We chose our vows from the book provided. They were perfect.
My aunt actually came up to me after the ceremony and said that they were beautiful.
We chose vows from the renewal section of the book, but they conveyed everything that we wanted to say. A lot of people actually thought that we had written our own vows.
I was very pleased with not only the many options for ceremony and vows but also with Ken. He was so nice and kind and did his best to calm down a nervous and anxious bride (I was a bit of a mess the day of).
A great company and a great experience!

Marty is personable, warm and humurous. Whenever I sent him an e-mail or called he would respond within minutes and was always wanting to help us and willing to meet us.Love Notes provides a book that allows you to look over all aspects of a ceremony. It helped keep us from feeling overwhelmed, because all crucial parts were laid out in the book and we just chose whatever style or combination of styles that worked best for us. We aren't particularly religious so we were able to match the ceremony with us.
Marty added a lot of humor! Before the ceremony he asked what kind of style we wanted. My husband and I both love to laugh and have a good time so we both said light hearted and fun. He broke the ice and made it more personable. For example, my husband and I had mentioned during an earlier meeting with him that we spent a summer in Boulder playing ultimate frisbee, etc and during the ceremony he said we spent a wonderful time throwing frisbees at each other. It made us and everyone laugh.
After the ceremony we had so many complements from our friends and family. Many of them said it was the best ceremony they had ever been to (and I'd have to agree). They said whenever they were about to cry they would bust out in laughter...the perfect combination of emotion for a wedding. I still couldn't be happier about the results of our wedding. Often the ceremony isn't something you dwell on, it's the party you think about. However the ceremony's the main event: it's the act of two people commiting their love to one another and it should be the most important part. Marty knows this and makes your dream ceremony come true.

We booked Marty Younkin to be our wedding officiant and he was great. He really catered to our needs. He is also highly respected in the community so when we told other vendors he was our officiant they bent over backwards to work with us just so they could say they worked with him. That was definetly a plus! Everyone said I was a very calm bride but when Marty came to me minutes before the ceremony and asked for our marriage license I just started crying. I knew I had left it at home over an hour away. He was so understanding and said it happens all the time. He said I could mail it to him the next day and he would take care of it for us. If you have the oppertunity to book Marty, jump on it. Love Notes is very reasonably priced and I looked around. They all cost about $300 - $400. The guests kept asking me where I found him because he did such a wonderful job. They knew we didn't live in Dallas anymore but he seemed to know us both so well. It seemed he had known us for years! That was because he is a very down to earth guy with a great attitude. Thank you so much Marty! We are having a great life together.

Rev. Marty Yourkin of Love Notes is the best minister - EVER. He was very easy to work with. The wedding homily was delivered very well - a great inspirational speaker.
He is also very humourous - he made our wedding day memorable!

Our officiant was Ken Bryant and he was terrific. He helped make the day a truly perfect one. He will work well with you and want to get to know you. You will feel like he's really performing YOUR wedding not some cookie-cutter thing. And he looked as happy to do ours as the first one he'd ever done. Couldn't be more pleased.
And Mary's resources for planning the wedding are exceptional.
You won't go wrong with these guys.

My particular officiant from Love Notes was Randy Dicken. He was incredibly difficult to get in touch with and you never felt like he remembered you or what you said from your personal meeting. He read the wrong vows at our wedding :( He was also extremely cheesy during the rehearsal.
I would like to say that the owner, Marty, was very sympathetic and kind in resolving our dissatisfaction with Randy. **The book that LoveNotes provides is a GREAT tool to create your dream ceremony (if only the officiant would have used ours...).

LoveNotes was so easy to use. We don't currently belong to a church, so we didn't have someone we already knew to marry us. LoveNotes allowed us to create our ceremony, they came to our unusual spot, in the middle of the week, at 9 in the morning, and even when our original minister got sick, our substitute minister was right on time and did exactly what we were wanting.
