We just got the photos back from Jonathan and I could not stop looking through them! They were simply beautiful - he was able to capture beautiful fleeting moments, create wonderful portraits, and capture the overall energy of the day. He handled the group portraits with ease and yet he was organized enough to get them all done without leaving any out. The rest of the evening, he was everywhere all the time. Even our guests mentioned how accessible he was!

As a photo enthusiast, picking a photographer was the HARDEST part of planning the wedding for me. Hiring Jonathan Young to document our wedding was the best decision we made. From our first meeting to the very end of our wedding day, he was top-notch. He is a phenomenal photographer, but also a great person. Many of our guests, went out of their way to say how kind and wonderful he was. He captured the day with great detail, when I first saw the photos, I can remember exactly what I was thinking and the waterworks begin!!!! He was responsive to every e-mail I sent, and addressed all of our concerns in great detail. My husband is a "manly man" who does not enjoy taking photos, but once he met with Jonathan and did our engagement photos, he could not raving about how great he is. Jonathan is a rare find in that he has all the subtlety, creativity and responsiveness of a well-honed photojournalist. Jonathan has done just that in our photographs; when I look the photographs of our wedding, getting ready, the reception I can remember just how wonderful the day was, and everyone looks happy and natural. His familiarity with the location of our wedding bennefitted us - he was able to take us to great places for our portraits, but also capture the location beautifully. Working with Jonathan was an absolutely amazing experience. He is one of the most gifted an amazing photographers I've met. Beyond that, however, is just his demeanor and approach. So many of our guests remarked about how professional he was. He managed to capture the most important moments of our day without ever feeling like he was being intrusive or taking our focus away from just enjoying the day. If there was something important happening, even things I wasn't aware of, he was always on the spot to capture it.

Jonathan was an absolutely wonderful wedding photographer from start with taking engagement photos in the Botanical Gardens in Brooklyn, New York to finish on our big day in Esopus, New York. Jonathan was very professional and listened to all of our ideas/views and provided informative and suptle changes as needed. Jonathan was able to go with the planned details and also accommodated spir of the moment photos. What we wanted on our big day was somebody who could blend in and take pictures of the actual event and not staged. Jonathan was very sociable and liked by everybody in our wedding party, family and friends. We enjoyed receiving the pictures from the wedding and picking out photos for our albums with our family. My parents in particular were very emotional looking through the pictures. Jonathan was a excellent pick for a wedding photographer and everything we could have asked for. Jonathan and Kelly who assisted were amazing photographers for our wedding. Jonathan is has a very calm but enthusiastic (hard combination!) presence - which made him blend in with the event, while at the same time capturing the really special moments. He has an amazing eye and a nicely modern aesthetic that makes the photo results meaningful and wonderful to look at. As a person, he is super nice, patient (with all those last-minute things that come up), very professional - you can tell he has a lot of experience. It made the photo-taking process (which I'm very shy about) very pleasant. Kelly led the photobooth option we selected - honestly, the photobooth was something we unexpectedly splurged for, and it was worth every penny. It really captured the guests in a fun and casual way full of their own personalities. All of my family and friends went out of their way to tell me how they thought Jonathan and Kelly were so great too. I can't stress enough how happy of a bride I was in selecting Jonathan to be there for the big day. Thanks Jonathan + Kelly!!!
