Lynn-Kai exceeds my expectations and limits of creativity every time I've encountered his work. He is extremely patient and has the very best skills in the bay area (in my humble opinion). For the cost that he charges, it is a small price to pay considering the phenomenal work he does to provide the quality of your special day photos. I highly highly recommend this guy, because he has the connections, is very reasonable in price. Sets his and your expectations in a very consistent manner and has a very low-key personality. It makes for your plans true colors to shine (so as to avoid the nuisance of a photographer that steals the light).

Lynn-Kai does a really good job of capturing seemingly dull backgrounds into really beautiful, artistic shots. His prices are very good compared to other wedding photographers with his modern style.

He's a good corresponder via email, and the engagement shoot never felt awkward (as we feared it could be, being romantic with a virtual stranger inches from your face!).

The bridal party started getting ready at 6am in Woodland, so I told him I'd understand if he didn't capture any "getting ready" shots. But he woke up early and made the drive!

The turn-around time is awesome, too.

There's not a doubt in my mind when recommending Lynn-Kai. We booked Lynn a year and a half prior to our wedding, and every meeting we had with him was great. Every question we had was answered, and he made the trek all the way out to Oklahoma to capture all of our memories. I was worried that a lot of the memories wouldn't be captured because we didn't have a second shooter (we substituted this option in our wedding package), but when Lynn gave us the pics from the wedding, not a moment seemed to be missing! He was great from the beginning, and even more so NOW after the wedding. The quality of work Lynn provides is amazing and he's an awesome photographer to follow you around and make sure to catch everything!

Lynn and Derek were really awesome to work with. I pretty much worked with them at the start of their portfolio building project. They were fun to work with, especially since i was able to get them free as Engagement photographers. :)

Much has changed since then and their quality of photos have definitely gone up so I would not hesitate to recommend them! Although for my wedding ceremony we are using another photographer, that is only because of the travel costs and extra costs needed to hire them from up north! Everyone that i've heard that have used them are happy. They respond promptly and will give you their best on everything they do! So, yees, I highly recommend them! They are young but they know what they are doing!

First of all, we were thoroughly impressed with his previous wedding pictures on his website. So, when we decided to contact him, Lynn-Kai responded in a very timely manner. And he continued to maintain quick responses to our subsequent emails. Lynn-Kai not only captured the key components of our wedding but also added creative action shots, which we loved. Lynn-Kai exceeded our expectations. Our wedding pictures are nothing but ordinary. I've received numerous comments on our wedding photos and I'm proud to show them off. My husband and I were also on a tight budget but his prices were very affordable. Honestly, I think we got the best deal for the quality and quantity of photos he provided. Also, not only was he was easy to work with, we also had fun and enjoyed every moment! Lynn-Kai has our utmost recommendation as a wedding photographer.

All professionally done. Lynn-Kai pays close attention to all detail. Easy to communicate and work with. Provide plenty of feedback and follows up throughout the entire process from making appointments to receiving the Wedding Album. Diligent and always on time. Goes the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied with all the outcomes. Highly recommended.

Plainsight Photography (Derek and Lynn) took our engagement photos. The photos were taken outdoors on Mt. Diablo. The results of their work speak for themselves. The photos are well composed, stunning, interesting, and captured our mood and expression. Lynn even climbed up into a cave with us to take our photos.

For the wedding, Derek was one of our two photographers (Lynn was unavailable as he was working at another wedding that same day). Derek kept us in a relaxed mood, maintaining a professional, positive attitude as he worked tirelessly to capture our entire wedding day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. He recorded all of our special events that included the morning preparation time, wedding ceremony, group photos, reception, outdoor photography session, an evening tea ceremony, dinner banquet, dancing and program!

Derek was very flexible with his time when we got behind schedule and had to change the venue of our afternoon photography session at the last moment.

As a hobbyist photographer myself (the groom), I can appreciate the passion and skill that Derek brings to his work. He's creative in coming up with interesting camera angles for his shots.

Plainsight Photography provides an amazing and personal photography experience. Lynn is very easy to work with. My wife and I are constantly amazed by his shot ideas and how they turn out. We have only gotten positive comments about the work from Plainsight and are extremely pleased with Lynn's work. We can't wait for the next time Lynn captures us on his camera. We had a great experience working with Lynn-Kai and can't say enough about the photos that he took for us.
