My Wedding reception was absolutley amazing at Lighthouse Sound Restaurant. I could not have asked for a more beautiful and elegant place to share such a special day.

We had both our ceremony and reception at lighthouse sound. Olya and the staff at Lighthouse Sound are amazing at what they do. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. They truly went out of thier way to make our day special. The chef even came out to say hello and made sure the food was up to par. Olya worked with us every step of the way and is so organized. Our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful our wedding was and how delicious the food was, especially the crab cakes! Lighthouse sound was definitely one of the more expenses venues we looked at, but the saying is definitey true, you get what you pay for! We cannot say enough about Lighthouse Sound and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to be treated like a royalty for a day.

Lighthouse Sound is a absolutely beautiful venue. The bay views are amazing, the gazebo is beautiful for the ceremony, the patio for cocktail hour is perfect and the dining and bar areas are very nice and updated. The food and service on the day of the wedding was absolutely amazing. The wait and bar staff on the day of our wedding not only provided us (bride and groom) with the best service, we heard from all of our guests that the service was amazing. We created a signature drink that the bartenders made to perfection. The communication with the wedding coordinator prior to the wedding was not always prompt and clear. Also, the wedding coordinator disappeared towards the end of the night when we needed golf carts to get away in. Also we asked for some things to be hidden or set up a certain way and that was not executed. If booking this venue it would be important to clearly state your expectations and make sure a family member is communicating them over and over again to the coordinator so you don't have to. The layout is tough if you have 140 guests like we did. The guests will be split into 3 rooms but you can make it work with the right speakers, a good DJ, and decor that connects everything. The cost is high compared to most other places at the beach, but the view, food, setting make it worthwhile.
Overall, I can't think of a better place to get married in the delaware/maryland beach area.

Olya was there every step of the way! She is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We were treated wonderfully and all of our questions were answered and our special requests were generously granted. The food and service were amazing and beyond what we had expected. We would highly recommend this site for both the wedding ceremony and reception. We are looking forward to returning for a dinner on our first anniversary!

I'm the mother of the bride-Lighthouse Sound was a wonderful place to have my daughter's wedding. It took place July 2011, with a waterside ceremony by the gazebo; the reception was held inside in the dining rooms. Olya and the entire staff worked very hard to make sure everything was perfect. Besides the setting being so beautiful- Lighthouse Sound is
a lovely bayfront facility-the staff was wonderful. They served promptly, were very polite, and the food was delicious. Olya made sure everything was planned to perfection, and she helped with all the details to make the wedding special. It was the perfect place. I would highly recommend them.

I had been to several places looking for a wedding venue but when I went to Lighthouse Sound I knew that was where I HAD to get married. It's sooo beautiful there and everyone was so great. Olya, the director there couldn't have been anymore helpful. I'm sure she gets asked the same questions every day by brides but always made you feel as if you were her number one. I absolutely recommend this place to everyone looking to have the most beautiful, stress free wedding you can imagine!!!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Lighthouse Sound was as a wedding venue and how amazing Olya is as a coordinator. She thinks of everything -- you have someone assigned to you the day of your wedding to help with all of your needs, she works out backup plans when the weather goes south, she helps you come up with signature drinks, she offers different food/seating/decoration options, etc.

The food at Lighthouse Sound was very, very good, and you rarely hear that about a wedding. I think it helps that Lighthouse Sound has a full-time restaurant too. The view from the ceremony site is gorgeous and the porch is the perfect place for guests to hang out, particularly with the new firepit that Olya ordered (she also set up a cigar area for the guys).

Olya was very flexible with our requests too -- we did signature drinks (my husband did a cucumber martini, not easy to fix!) and we did late night snacks, which were a huge hit and Olya pulled off with no problem at all.

The only downside was the layout -- it's a great space for 120 but if you have more than that, some of the guests have to sit in the bar which is totally disconnected from the rest of the space. It wasn't a huge deal (and we didn't ever think we'd have more than 120, it just turned out that way) but it did kind of suck for those guests in the bar area. Plus, it took away a nice area for our guests to hang out in if they didn't want to dance.

Overall, we had a phenomenal wedding and we couldn't have done it without the great staff at Lighthouse Sound and Olya. They answered all of my nitpicky questions, assuaged any fears I had, and pulled off a fantastic event. I can't wait to go back for our anniversary!

Our wedding at Lighthouse Sound was beautiful!!. Olya did a wonderful job. The service and servers were absolutely wonderful. Our guests enjoyed how friendly everyone was. When I arrived for the wedding everything was set up exactly how we had asked for it to be. Is brought tears to my eyes, it was even more beautiful then we had even expected. The food was great, we loved the Halibut which melted in your mouth. Olya was very good at comforting me (the Bride) as we were dressing for the wedding. Our wedding took place during Isabella. Someone was assigned to me from the time I arrived to help me and wait on me with anything I needed. It was great! Too bad the time goes by so quickly. Our guests still talk about what a great time they had!

Our daughter's wedding at Lighthouse Sound was incredible. So many guests said it was the nicest wedding they had ever attended -- and that the food was spectacular. Needless to say, the view and scenery of the OC skyline are breath-taking; the entire staff was so helpful -- not to mention the excellent talent, attitude and helpfulness that Olya possesses. She is such an asset when planning a wedding -- or any event for that matter! We could not have imagined the task without her. We highly recommend Lighthouse Sound to anyone and everyone planning a social event down by the sea!

We had the most amazing wedding at Lighthouse Sound. Olya was fantastic. All of our guests raved about the food, location, and set up of the reception. This is a professional, organized business that made Matt and I feel as if we were their only clients.

Everything was perfect!!! Olya did a great job, and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding ceremony and reception location. The food was wonderful!!! One tid bit of advice:A lot of cake was ruined by having it delivered to the guests' seats, I would ask to have the cake cut and left on the serving table. Thank you Lighthouse Sound!
