First, let me say that I am not the bride, but a brides maid, and I am very disappointed with service from Lett's. As requested by the bride, I phoned my measurements in 8 months before the wedding only to receive my dress two weeks before I was to travel for the wedding. I had very little time for alterations. Luckily, the dress fit fine (however, it was not steamed or taken out of the original packaging before it was sent to me), but was ridiculously short for a t-length dress (at least one inch above my knee). I phoned Lett's to inquire about what I could possibly do with it being so close to my travel date, and the consultant really didn't have any ideas. I then asked why they did not ask their customers their height as a part of their measurements, and the consultant explained that it's up to the customer's responsibility to provide height information. (Mind you, I am not abnormally tall unless you consider 5' 10" to be giant.) I disagreed with her and proceeded to tell her that in the future, it might be a good idea to ask for heights because of the short length of my dress. Trying to solve the short dress situation, the consultant asked me to speak to the seamstress. I did; and she had a good idea which was to bring the dress to a local steamstress near me and ask for part of the dress to be let down (there was extra fabric in the dress's design around the waist). When I arrived at my local seamstress's shop and explained to her what Lett's described, she looked at me like I was nuts. There was nothing to let down in the back, so I had three options: have a dress that is long in the front and short in the back, pay $180+ to lengthen the dress and ultimately pay for a second corset tie and panel, or go with the short dress. Not wanting to pay $180+, I took the option of the short dress. I really hope I do not look like a fool in wedding photos.

I have yet to get ahold of the owner and explain my dissatisfaction to him as well as the fact that I was promised free shipping yet was charged for it at the time of my purchase. No one bothered to include a refund slip when the dress was sent to me even though the bottom of my purchase agreement said no cost for shipping.

If you want a dress, go to Lett's. If you want to purchase a dress with good customer service and with a bridal shop that is flexible and is willing work with you and help you solve problems, go elsewhere. Yes, the owner at Lett's is super nice and very friendly, but from my experience with them, he is hardly there and it seems like the consultants need his assistance/approval with a lot of things. This causes a lot of difficulties for customers!

Before I sign off, let me also add that if you (or your brides maids) ask Lett's to ship your dress, you will get a recycled box taped with scotch tape and a wrong address (which I confirmed three times and am surprised I even got the dress).

If I could give a negative stars I would! This place was AWFUL! To help out my bridesmaids I prepaid for all of the dresses up front. Well one of the girls ended up not being able to be in the wedding. They wouldn't order the dresses because not all the sizes were in (duh one less girl), but wouldnt refund the money because all sales are final. Nothing was actually bought/ordered anything yet! After calling everyday for two weeks I finally got a hold of the owner who did refund the extra dress and ordered the dresses. He assured me the dresses would be in two months before my wedding. Well, I started calling two months before the wedding and was given a shipment date that wasn't for another month. Ok.... no need to get upset... I waited till that time and started calling every week and kept getting the run around. DRESSES DIDNT COME UNTIL A WEEK BEFORE THE WEDDING! Considering I walked into the store knowing what dresses I wanted then paid for them all up front... it was by far the worst customer service I have ever had. DO BOTHER WITH THE STRESS... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

I have hear good and bad things about Lett's but I decided to go there just to try on dresses, if not to actually buy one since it was so close. The girl who initially helped me was great! She was very helpful and kind, and helped me stay calm since I needed to order my dress quickly! But once my dress was actually ordered and paid for, it was like the could have cared less about me! They said my dress would be in in 2 weeks (rush ordered) it wasn't in for 4! And when I called after 3 weeks they gave me the run around, they kept handing the phone off to other people and telling me they couldn't find my file. They verified my information 4 times. I talked to a manager who swore my dress would be in the following Monday so when I called Monday to set up an alteration time the same manager told me they "never tell clients when a dress will be in because they can't guarantee it." And I must have misunderstood. I called the next day and a girl told me she thought my dress was there somewhere, then asked me to describe it! (and this is 2 weeks before my wedding) She told me it was there and scheduled an appointment for me to get it altered. They called 3 days later to tell me it had come in. When I went to have it altered I I came at my appointed time and waited 45 minutes. When I went for my final alterations, they we're not done altering it when i got there so I had to wait an hour with my maid of honor. It was RIDICULOUS. Their prices are good but the service was AWFUL. I would have rather driven farther away and spent more money than to have gone through all the stress that came with ordering my dress from them.

Letts Bridal was a bit of a disappointing experience for me. The staff was very unresponsive, many times I had to call and re-call the store to get a hold of someone that could answer my questions. The manager seemed rather sneaky and "car salesman type". I truly felt that I was lured into the store under a false quote. I did however get a fantastic deal on my dress, after consulting with the manufacturing representative!!

My dress was a great deal! I had been to every dress shop in Southwest Michigan and around South Bend, IN - and had found nothing that I would want to pay for. Lett's was having a big sale and I found the perfect dress for 200. While my assistant was extremely helpful with trying on dresses, giving honest feedback, and finding other dresses not displayed - the same wasn't true for the owner or the other salesman there. I was able to negotiate a lower price on the dress (the sticker said 800 - she said she could give it to me for 300 - but I was able to talk her and the owner down to 200) The other ladies tried to sell me astronomically priced veils (I ended up getting mine at hobby lobby for 10 - with a 1/2 off coupon) and since it was a sale dress I couldn't get the "real" garment bag - i could only get a plastic one, unless I wanted to pay 20 for the real bag. My wedding was in a few weeks so I didn't care about the bag. But they kept pushing for it saying dresses yellow if not properly stored - even my assistant took my side and said I didn't need to protect it since it would only be out for a short time. So, if you don't mind cranky upper management and you have the confidence to negotiate around pushy salespeople to negotiate a better deal - you get a great dress at an affordable price.

I got my wedding dress from Letts Bridal. They did amazing with the alterations, kinda on the pricy side, but it turned out really good. Very helpful staff.

we had a few problems with this shop. bought my dress and all bridesmaids dresses here. the owner seems to commit to things that the staff can't necessarily do. my alterations were tough, granted, but in the end, some of them were done incorrectly, and my dress was too long. boo.

Lett's bridal has a huge selection and great prices! They were able to order my dress from a Casablanca Bridals collection and it arrived in plenty of time for alterations. The only thing I was un-satisfied with was that I had to go back on 3 seperate occasions after my final fitting because they kept forgetting to change the buttons used for bustling my dress. If I hadn't requested to try on the dress again, I wouldn't have noticed they still were the right buttons and would have had to go back a fourth time. Other than that they were very easy to work with and I will go back for future formal events.

I got my dress and all of my bridesmaids' dresses at Lett's. They were frustratingly disorganized at times, particularly as you were on your way out the door - they let me leave with my junior bridesmaid after her alterations without telling me that she needed another fitting, which led to a scramble to find a time to get her in before the wedding. We also had more than one instance of misplaced paperwork.

However, I would still recommend Lett's. The sales staff was all very helpful (though often distracted), the seamstress (Colleen) does great work, the selection was great, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. My Casablanca dress was more than $250 less expensive here than it would have been in at the shop in Okemos. (I saw it both places.) I'd just advise patience and leaving yourself twice as much time to go as you think you'll need. For me, I was on a tight budget and it was worth it to save that much money!

Everyone at Letts bridal was so helpful, especially Lindsay. The first time I went there I had already been to several dress shops that just were not listening to what I wanted,they kept putting me in things that they wanted and I was getting frustrated. So by the time I got to Letts I knew exactly what I did NOT want, I told Lindsay, she pulled a few dresses and the second one I put one was the "one". Lindsay then gave me some really beautiful ideas for bustles and the seamstress did a great job of executing the very elaborate bustle that I choose. Overall I would certainly recommend this shop to everyone.

I found the perfect dress! It was a discontinued model, so I got it for $100, which is unbelievable. The girl working there was very helpful and professional--she must have helped me in and out of 6 dresses. And when I picked my perfect one, she took it to the bad and steamed out some kind of spot so that it was perfect for no charge.
I am so happy with my dress, but to be fair--I was pretty lucky to find it that cheaply. Most other dresses there are not cheap, though there is a great selection.
It's in a kind of dumpy part of town, but there are a lot of great options.

Lett's Bridal has a massive selection of dresses from great designers at low prices. I got a Maggie Sottero Limited Edition dress from them for a very reasonable price, and had no trouble with sizing or order time. However, whenever they told me they would call me back they never did, which was frustrating. The shop itself leaves much to be desired aesthetically - no private rooms for trying on dresses or anything. Its always very busy because of the pricing.
We also ordered our bridesmaid dresses from here - Jim Hjelfm, and the sizing process was not a positive experience. They told one of my bridesmaids, who normally wears a size 2 or 4 to order a size 10 dress. She ended up ordering an 8 and it was way too big on her. Another one of my bridemaids was told to order a size 18 and she normally wears a 6. She ordered a 12 and it had to be taken down about 4 dress sizes once we got it.

I found my dream dress at Lett's bridal- it was a maggie sotterro and was really reasonably priced. The dress had a colored sash, and I requested a fabric sample. To me it did not seem like a huge thing to ask. Apparently it is. I was told first that they do not have fabric samples and maggie soterro does not give them out. I asked again later, and was told they could order me one and they did in fact do that. Mind you, they never called and told me when the smaple was in. I go in, and it is totally not what I wanted, when I specifically asked for a color fabric sample and a saleslady told me it was in. So I had to scrap the idea of matching my bridesmaids dressed to the color sash and go with black. I am still not sure what the big deal was. I also ordered a slip and the wrong one came in. The staff are very nonchalant. However, I was very impressed with the seamstress. She did a great job on a difficult dress. My advice is to be persistant with what YOU want, and do not let them let you fall through the cracks. Keep bugging them.

The staff here is very friendly. Some of the younger staff members have no clue what they are doing but the older staff members were very helpful. There is a huge inconsisteny in measuring for sizes. My flower girls measured almost exactly the same and two different dress sizes were ordered. When they came in one was way to short! You have to be very on top of things yourself because they are very unorganized. I got my dress here and it fit perfect all the seamstress did was the bustle and did a great job. We also got bridesmaid dresses here. Again sizing issues! But they do give you a discount if you have four or more bridesmaids.

I had started paying on a dress there. Although the people were really nice, they weren't very helpful. I had called a few times before they got back to me about the balance of my dress. At that point, just a few months before my wedding, they notified me they moved to a new location and they LOST MY DRESS! I couldn't get the money back or get a new dress with that amount taken off. I would not recommend going there!
