The cheesecake wedding cake was delicious. It was also very beautiful. I wish I had time to eat more of it. The bottom tier was key lime, the middle was amaretto and the top was chocolate swirl.

I worked directly with Janice, the owner of Le Cheesecake. Janice's husband Jack delivered the cake. The cake was delivered on time at 5 p.m. and it was still cold when it was served at 8:30 p.m.

Janice never responded to one of my emails when I sent it to lecheesecake@aol.com and sometimes she would take a while to return my calls. Luckily I had the email address of her son Richard and he responded very quickly when I emailed him at fsuphid12011201@aol.com. Janice would always call me and talk to me over the phone. I prefer to have things in writing for documentation, so I was a little worried.

Janice was very nice and everything turned out very well. So I would definitely recommend Le Cheesecake to future brides.

I have been a St. Petersburg resident for over 10 years and can honestly say I have never taken the time to personally write a review online, but thought by sharing my recent experience with Le Cheesecake I could save someone else the same pain. I went into their store on 12/15 around 2:30 PM with the intention of ordering a birthday cake for my mother. I was met by two ladies at the counter and a full dose of attitude. I asked what I thought was a pretty common question when ordering a cake (what flavors do you have available) and their response was what do you want and that the flavors are on the website. Well I am not on the website, I am in your store. I received the same response for filling and icing options. So pretty much I am inside a cake store ordering blindly. I should have known at that point just to walk out. But I made the mistake of completing my order for a chocolate cake with Bavarian cream filling and chocolate icing. Very simple writing on the cake “Happy Birthday Mom.” I scheduled for it to be picked up on Saturday at 2:30 as the party was that evening. I even called later that afternoon after I had left to confirm the order/time. So here is where the story gets good! My wife goes to pick up the cake on Saturday afternoon and the lady at the counter (different from the ladies I had ordered from) rudely said there was no chocolate cake ordered from any customer for today. So, my wife clearly in-between an uncomfortable situation calls me to confirm that I had ordered the cake. I walked her through my experience above and she told the lady behind the counter who proceeded to call the owner (which is who I ordered the cake from personally). The owner played completely dumb and said she never had taken an order for a chocolate cake. So pretty much they called their customer a liar and that we were crazy to be in their store to pickup a cake. Long story short, I think if you search the internet and read other customer reviews you will find we are not alone in this horrible customer experience. Hopefully by taking the time to write this review we will save someone else from a ruined party. I couldn’t imagine trusting a wedding with these people as there is no telling what cake or story you would receive!

We did everything over the phone becuase this was a destination wedding.

Pros- Cake was exactly what the picture i sent them looked like.
- The cake was very delicious
- The cake was free because I was having my wedding at the Grand Plaza @ St. Pete Beach, Florida
- They added a seashell topper at no cost.
Cons-
- The cake was VERY small. I called it a Jumbo Cupcake. I expected it to be bigger. I was disappointed when I saw it, but after tasting how good it was. It made up for the size.
- It took them a long time to reply back to some of my emails. This was a destination wedding so that was kind of frustrating.

Cake was extremely small and was not told it would be and cake was not decorated how i asked it to be done. Cake was the most disappointing thing of my wedding!!!! :(

IF YOU WANT A BEAUTIFUL CAKE EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT AND A DECENT SIZE THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT THE PEOPLE TO DO IT. THEY CARED MORE ABOUT TALKING ABOUT RANDOM THINGS THAN MY CAKE. THE CAKE WAS NOT WHAT I ASKED FOR AND IT WAS THE SMALLEST CAKE EVER!! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!! EVERYONE ASKED WHATS WRONG WITH YOUR CAKE?? WE TRIED TO CALL AND TELL THEM AND THEY WOULDN'T TAKE OUR CALLS!! THERE COMMUNICATION IS HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT USE!!

This company is the biggest joke ever! They ruined my wedding cake last year and were suppossed to give me a anniversary cake as part of the package we paid for so we ate the topper at the wedding and guess what? These looney people won't call me back, won't respond to emails, or facebook messages. They are unbelievable, and have no idea how to run a business whatsoever. I can't believe they have been open since the 80's. Thanks Le Cheesecake for ruining my first anniversary tradition of eating your wedding cake! Way to go screwballs. BEWARE don't use these people it's not worth the hassle. I explained how i wanted my cake a million times to this lady but all she seemed interested in was farmville, mafia wars, and how young my mom looked! No wonder why she screwed up my wedding cake! Of course she wouldn't talk to me after the wedding regarding her screw up! No sorry no nothing. Horrible customer service and the cake wasn't that great anyway.

it was so great working with Pam at Le Cheesecake. She saw what I wanted and took it beyond my expectations. So many people complimented the design of my wedding cake and of course the flavor. I chose the raspberry chambard with raspberry filling, it tasted so good. Something different that no one expected, instead of the white or chocolate flavors. I sent a ribbon down for her to use around the border of the cake and it just looked to elegant. Thank you so much for the beautiful and great tasting cake Le Cheesecake!! Amber C

Our cheesecake was PHENOMENAL! The flavors were scrumptious and the presentation was exactly what we wanted. You will love their flavors and creativity. My guests raved about the cheesecake and I'm so glad we didn't go the traditional cake route! We had an outdoor wedding and the cheesecake stayed cold & firm.

My only complaint is that it was difficult to get in touch with them at first, but once we made contact it was smooth sailing. The tasting appointment was a breeze and we made sure to hand deliver our payments so we could pick up a treat at the bakery ;)

The cake tasting was a great experience and we left feeling like they were really going to create what we wanted for a wedding cake. They definitely did not disappoint. The cake looked exactly like the picture we gave them and it tasted PHENOMENAL. Everybody is still talking about how great the cake tasted.

Pam from Le Cheesecake was professional and a pleasure to work with. We chose cheesecake for our wedding cake which was a big hit with our guests. The cheesecake was creamy and delicious and was decorated just like your standard wedding cake. Don't be fooled by the unassuming appearance of their store which is in a small strip mall. Their cake is wonderful and highly recommended. No problems with timely delivery to our wedding reception either.

Very flexible in whatever cake icing, filling, cake style and design we wanted. Cake was delivered on time and perfect. The cake was exactly as ordered and very delicious. Thanks so much for making our wedding day perfect.

Disappointed. After getting married and having a wonderful 1st year anniversary, I was reminded that the one thing I would have changed about my wedding day was the cake! There was apparently some miscommunication about how I wanted the monogram on the cake because it was put on the top instead of the side. The raspberry filling was barely there and the cake was smaller than I thought. Then, they were very direct about calling exactly 2 weeks before your anniversary to get your free anniversary cake. Well, first they were closed for holiday so I left a message. No one returned my call, I had to call again. Then I wanted the free cake for when I came back in town from my anniversary, she didn't want to do that. I insisted and set a date to pick up the cake. I went on the date and time to pick up the free cake and it wasn't there. So, I had to go back the next day to pick it up. Oh, and it's only free if you take it the way they give it to you. Plain with white frosting. If you want cheesecake or filling or flavor it's extra. I should have just gone to publix and ordered my wedding cake and anniversary cake from there. It would have saved me irritation, gas money, and time.

The staff was very, very nice and they are a mom and pop shop that does amazing work. Thier red velvet cake is out of the world. I was very happy with their service. They included a free anniversary cake for the first year instead of saving cake in your freezer which is so awesome and have been around forever!

Our cake was exactly what we wanted - we ended up doing 3 tiers with each tier as a different flavor. They have many flavors of cake and cheesecake to choose from, and despite their unassuming business (it's next to a laundromat) they turn out the most delectable and elegant cakes. Plus, they'll bake our anniversary cake for free. Very affordable, and everyone loved the Key Lime cheesecake for our beach wedding!

We just used Le Cheesecake for our wedding and it was SO good! The top layer was chocolate w/ chocolate chips, the middle was key lime and the bottom was white chocolate raspberry. The reason I gave them a lower rating on responsiveness is because they never get back to you by email or it takes about a month. If you call though, they talk to you or get back to you right away. The cake was such a hit with all our guests and my only wish is that I got to have some more-- everyone ate their piece and more!

Le Cheesecake made a wonderful cake for our beach wedding. Richard is a great guy, but can be very busy. Sometimes it is hard to get a quick response. However, don't be swayed, even though the communication was a little rough the cake was EXCEPTIONAL! We had a 3 tier cake, with 3 different flavors (no extra charge) and our guests were all so excited to try a piece of every flavor! They were all terrific. Richard pulled it out and it was perfect!!! The price is also one of the best in the area.
