No words can describe the deliciousness of their cake. We hope to continue buying our cakes from Lakes Cakes for years to come. The drive is a bit long, but the cake is well worth it. Our only problem was deciding between the many flavors and combinations available. Our guests all enjoyed the cake as well as the different flavors we chose for our wedding cake. Many of our guests were surprised to find that one of our tiers was cheesecake since the dimensions of the cake were the same as the other tiers. Lakes Cakes was very accommodating of our gluten-free guests as well. The drawing of the cake was so beautiful - it was really a work of art in itself.

The cake was absolutely delicious, and Heidi was excellent to work with. The value you get for your dollar cannot be beat! Besides that, we received so many positive comments about the cake - our guests were begging for seconds! We can't wait to get our anniversary cake next year!

Our experience with Lakes Cakes was wonderful. They allowed four of us to come and try samples. They brought a large serving tray of all the fillings, cremes, and cakes. On the wedding day evereything arrived on time and the guest enjoyed the cupcake idea and all the different flavors. We enjoyed the experience and would recommend them to anyone.

As mother of the bride-to-be I was looking for a bridal shower cake. The cake was beautiful and more importantly, it was absolutely delicious---it was the hit of the shower! My friend liked it so much, she ordered her son's engagement party cake from Heidi. I also ordered the wedding favor cookies and the grooom's cake---these were beautiful and delicious, as well ! Aside from being a fabulous baker and easy to work with, Heidi goes beyond the call of duty. When the groom's cake was taken to the reception venue, one of the staff moved the cake in such a way that the corner was damaged. I called Heidi and she immediately went to the club, frosting in hand and repaired the damage. She's wonderful !!! The only reason Heidi did not bake the wedding cake is that I gave a nonrefundable deposit to another baker, prior to knowing about Lakes Cakes. Needless to say, Lakes Cakes will be making all of my special occasion baked goods in the future. I love Heidi and Lakes Cakes.

Lakes Cakes was amazing!!! They took the time to sit down with us and help us design the exact cake we wanted. The cake was delicious, the price was right, and they were so friendly. All the guests at our wedding raved about the unique style of our cake and the taste. I will definitely use them in the future for other cakes and would recommend them above any other cake vendor we met with.

Working with Lakes Cakes was an amazing experiance! They did the most amazing job helping me with the design of my cake! It was a nice and relaxed cake testing but still very professional. Exceeded my expectaions ten fold. Would recommend them to any bride in the Mid-Michigan area.

We chose Lakes Cakes over several other vendors to assist with our wedding cake plans. It was an exceptional presentation, great food and friendly service. I would highly recommend this vendor for all your cake needs. She presented us with a variety of tasters upon the initial meeting and we decided on five different flavors of cupcakes and one small cake for the wedding party. They did an excellent job on our wedding cake. It was very pretty and delicious. They also made us a custom cake topper out of gum paste. It turned out perfect. They really did an awesome job.

Found Lakes Cakes website on-line not knowing how close they were to our venue. Only met with Heidi twice but she captured the image of what I wanted our cake to look like to perfection. All communication was done via e-mail for the most part. Heidi was great in communicating as that's the easiest method as the clock ticks down. She was extremely accomodating as we fluctuated in the beginning btw. having a cake vs. cupcakes. She even made a special diabetic cake for the groom and his Father. That says a lot about the quality and dedication Heidi has. I think I knew from the moment we left our cake testing experience that that was who I wanted to make our wedding cake. We had numerous compliments on the cake. I will definitely recommend and use Lakes Cakes for any upcoming special events. Thank you so much Heidi!

I had a very pleasant experience with Lakes Cakes. Heidi is very professional, yet down to earth. Her cake tasted amazing, and she was the cheapest price of all the vendors I priced in the Rochester area. She is willing to mix and match and work with you for what you want on your wedding cake. I had three different types of cakes with multiple types of filling for my 200 person wedding, and it was decorated based off a custom invite that I designed. It looked and tasted fabulous! I planned my wedding from out of state and she was always willing to talk over the phone or email to answer any questions. She also is very reliable and actually called me before the wedding to confirm when she was bringing the cake to the reception hall and to make sure I didnt have any last minute questions. It is a BIG help and stress reliever when the vendor calls you to confirm that they have everything set for your day. The cake looked perfect and I didnt have to stress at all!

Lakes Cakes had an amazing variety of flavors...and sat down with you for a taste test of a tray full of different cakes and fillings...She was very nice, professional, our cake was beautiful. I'm sure she can create just about anything on a cake. I would reccomend her to everyone...and the price was right. She also offered cakes for people with allergies.
