Erica was great, she works at Mervis Diamonds now, I highly recommend going to see her there if you are having trouble finding the right ring for you. I had tried on over 80 dresses, before Erica picked one off the shelf for me I would have never selected, and it was "THE ONE".
Unfortunately, before my order was fulfilled, Lady Hamilton closed their doors after decades of serving the Arlington Community (they were the only reputable vendor still left in the area). The last couple of months leading up to my wedding were a stressful nightmare trying to get my dress, and my custom veil delivered, and altered. In the end, I had a gorgeous dress to wear that I absolutely love, and the seamstress Aziza did an incredible job on the veil.
In addition, one of my bridesmaid dresses was ordered in the wrong size, and the owner refused to refund my money, or do anything about it. Three weeks before my wedding I had to find and order all new bridesmaid dresses since there was nothing that could be done with the one that was too small. Thank goodness for Nordstroms! Fast shipping, affordable, and in-house tailoring saved the day!

I found the dress I wanted at Lady Hamilton for less than other local retailers. They also offered a 10% trunk show discount. Unfortunately, Lady Hamilton went out of business the end of July. I fortunately was able to get my dress, veil and fittings completed before they closed their doors the end of July. While I lucked out I have heard horror stories from other brides about problems fulfilling their orders and lack of communication and responsiveness from the owner.

I loved, loved, loved my dress but was very disappointed with how Lady Hamilton dealt with their business closing. I felt very lead on and then shocked with the news of their closing. I found out through a letter in the mail but I had been in the store just a day earlier. I then had to travel 90 minutes away from my house to pick up my dress. Nancy was always very nice though so she kept me going with a positive attitude even though my dress was delayed by over 30 days or so.

Didn't call me when my dress came in, but my dress and my bridesmaids' dresses came in just as ordered and in plenty of time. A little pricey, but liked having everything in one place and received a discount on my bridesmaids' dresses. Did not have my alterations done there.

I had a very nice experience with Lady Hamilton: I found my dress at an Elma Reis trunk show, amazing experience, Elma Reis was there & literally pulled her own dresses for me to try on! I had all seven of my bridesmaids dresses ordered through Lady Hamilton, as well as 15 tuxes! As far as alterations go, yes, they were pricey, but I went in for 3 fittings with a seamstress (same one every time) and picked my dress up 3 days before my wedding- the dress fit like a dream! They were extremely helpful with all 15 guys (ranging in ages from 5 to 65)- there were a couple of pieces missing (a shirt and tie) for two groomsmen, but they had them in the store the very next day & did alterations overnight as well. All in all, a very pleasant experience!

I had a wonderful experience with Lady Hamilton, however, my maid of honor had many, many issues with them. I suspect they just pay more attention to the bride?

With my dress: all of the ordering options and sizing were well-explained. Everying arrived on time and the person who does alterations was A-MAZ-ING!

With the maid of honor:
1. They did not order her dress. They asked how many bridesmaids - I had two. But I had told them the other lived in NYC and would get her own dress. Three months before the wedding, my MOH called to check on her dress and it had never been ordered although she had paid in full.
2. Then she had to pay a "rush" fee, they would not comp it.
3. The final, most annoying problem - after all this - the dress they ordered was too short. Apparently ordering for people 5'7" and above needs to be "tall".

I would not recommend using them for bridesmaids.

I found a dress that I fell in love with online and went out on a hunt for it. I called other dress shops but no one had it in the store. I called Lady Hamilton and Dang Tou offered to order it for me at the lowest price that I found it for. She ordered the dress for me and it came in on time. There alterations are expense so I took my dress somewhere else.

Here's just a sampling of what went wrong with this place:

- Incorrect order: Lady Hamilton ordered the wrong dress for one of my bridesmaids. The owner, Nancy Griffin, said that they'd have to charge us an extra shipping fee for the new dress, and snidely commented that they were "doing us a favor" by not making us order a new dress when we disputed this.

- Damage to dress: Nancy canceled the alterations on my and my bridesmaids' dresses when I went on The Knot and wrote about experience with the incorrectly ordered bridesmaids dress, and the awful attitude problem we encountered during this ordeal. When I took my dress for alterations to another seamstress, we found that someone at Lady Hamilton had taken a swatch out of the front hem of my dress (apparently when you raise the hem, you don't just cut the extra length off...you raise the hem from the waistline. Also, I never received this swatch, so it was clearly intended for someone else). The alterations to correct the problem that Lady Hamilton had created by cutting the dress ultimately cost as much as the dress itself.

The auality of the tailoring at Lady Hamilton was very good. My big issue is that your last fitting is two weeks before your wedding. Like most brides I lost a lot of weight in those last two weeks and my dress was too big and they would not do anything about it. It just does not make sense to me. I don't think any of my guests noticed, but it bothered me all day that my dress was as snug as it should have been.

First, I loved my dress (and I tried on many). Most wedding dresses are pricey and I feel that Lady Hamilton's dresses were moderately to expensively priced. The staff isn't snooty like many of the places I looked and I had a nice experience with Lady Hamilton.

I had a good experience at Lady Hamilton, while shopping for wedding dresses. It is a cute boutique and I like the atmosphere. The sales lady was very nice and didn't put pressure on me. I enjoyed my shopping experience there, and I bought my dress there because they had the dress that I wanted. However, I had some problems when I got a bridesmaid dress altered there (for a friend's wedding) and I was not happy with the service. So I ended up taking my wedding dress elsewhere for alterations.

I had an international wedding. They were very reliable and helpful to help me find the best way to ship the dress to my overseas location

Had a great experience with Lady Hamilton. Loved my dress, no complaints but I'm still waiting for the preserved dress to arrive. Not cheap, but what is with weddings?

When I was initially looking for dresses the woman helping me at Lady Hamilton was fairly helpful, but a little pushy. Once the dress was ordered I was rather frustrated when they didn't call to let me know that my dress had come in--I called the shop incidentally 6 months after I ordered the dress to check on the arrival of a bridesmaid's dress and found out that my dress had been in for more than 2 months and no one had contacted me...my mom and I both got our dresses from Lady Hamilton and found some of the ladies to be much more helpful than others.

Ever since I was a little girl I knew I would find my dream wedding gown at Lady Hamilton. I found "the one" during an Elsa Reis trunkshow that fit within my budget. The staff was great to work with, especially the seamstress. She did an amazing job on what few alterations I needed. They were flexible to accommodate my schedule during the alterations and the dress was ready as promised.

After the wedding I took my dress back to the store to preserve it. They partner with The Wedding Gown Preservationists who did a fantastic job. I was told the dress would not be returned to me for 3 months. It showed up 1 month later! The dress is kept air-tight in a box with a window so I can still see the gorgeous beading.

This was the dress I wanted no matter what and Lady Hamilton was the only boutique nearby that carried this dress...I think I went with them out of convenience. I was pleased with everything but I thought my dress was a bit expensive considering. When all was said and done I felt like I spent too much but hey the dress was everything I ever dreamed of.
