I LOVE LOVE LOVE my wedding dress and was so happy with the outcome. The owner, Miere, was fabulous but not all of the people who work for her are. Ask to work specifically with her and you won't be sorry. She was great and helped me customize the dress of my dreams!! Her prices are great too. I originally found THE dress in another store but she carried it as well for about 30% cheaper!! Worth checking out!

I bought my dress at La Reine after looking for dresses at multiple places. I wasn't wowed by the service there. I would say it was about average. The consultant I worked with was really great but I don't think she works there anymore. (I never saw her again on subsequent visits). I think the price of my dress was pretty reasonable. I didn't look for it at other bridal shops but the discount online sites were selling it for only $100-$150 less.

Great things about LaReine are:

- they have literally over 1,000 dresses!!
- they were great at helping me find the perfect dress for my body type AND my price range
- my dress was affordable and GORGEOUS
- they are affiliated with a great tailor - right downstairs - who is affordable and did a perfect job

Downsides:
- staffing there can be spotty - they were having a lot of staff turnover which resulted in less than perfect service (responding to phone messages, ordering the wrong size for one of my bridesmaids, etc)

Dress was perfect. Customer service was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for the perfect dress.

'Poor' at best. Mixed up orders, underquoted alterations, and lousy communication. We ultimately took the dress elsewhere for alterations and had to have the headpiece overnighted because they didn't place the order when they said they did (it was appearantly overlooked). Several unhappy phone calls resulted and they were not even very apologetic. Do not recommend based on our experience.

Wonderful gown selection at affordable prices. Excellent staff, they were going through quite a few "changes" while I was working with them so a few things went wrong, but they fixed the problems immediately! Very pleased overall.
AMAZING Seamstress downstairs from this bridal shop (she deserves 5 stars !!)

The stars are tough. I was treated like a queen when I was shopping for my dress. It was pricey but they had a good selection and listened to what I was looking for. They don't really have room to be flexible as the dress manufacturers aren't.

An incredibly wide selection of wedding dresses! Also, they make everyone remove their shoes before entering, so pristine sample dresses in mint condition make for a beautiful and inexpensive option.

I LOVED my dress, but working with La Reine was challenging at times. The original woman I bought the dress from left the shop just a couple weeks after I placed my order, and everyone else there was tough to work with. They were not open to special requests, they would put me off when I had questions, etc. For all of the money I was spending there, I expected better service.

I found the dress of my dreams at La Reine after looking in many other places. That is the most important thing. My only real complaint is how long it took my dress to come in (over 6 months) and how difficult it was to get a straight answer from them as to when my dress was coming in. I was told "next week" and "any day now" for weeks and weeks, which was frustrating.
Other than that, they have a great selection of dresses, the boutique is beautiful, and they can accommodate different budgets.

I worked with the ladies at both the Boston and Waltham locations of La Reine and enjoyed my experiences at both locations. I ended up buying my dress at the Boston location and later had it altered at the Waltham location. Overall I had a great experience at La Reine. I found most of the employees to be pleasant, knowledgeable, and not overly pushy. On one occasion I had a less than stellar experience at the store, but even then it would not have dissuaded me from purchasing my dress there. The dress was of great quality and the store had my dress shipped extremely quickly. They also stored the dress for me until I had it altered which was very helpful. Overall I would recommend adding La Reine to your list of dress shops if you're in the Boston area.
