My husband and I were so fortunate to have Kate as our wedding photographer. Our case was a bit particular since we were having a simple civil ceremony at the lake by our home and then having the formal one in Italy the following month. Kate did such an incredible job on our lake wedding photos that we wish that we could have flown her to do our formal ceremony in Italy, as well. Everyone that saw our photos was amazed, and so were we that she made us look so fabulous! Through Kate's lens, you cannot only see the happiness, joy and excitement in our eyes, but also feel the love that was present. She allowed us to feel so relaxed and comfortable that we did not even realize she was snapping away! Kate was so flexible in allowing us to decide different places that we wanted our picture taken....up in a tree, in the lake having a water fight, etc. She made our wedding day such a fun and unforgettable experience. We are very fortunate to have so many beautiful pictures to be able to share with those who were not there that day, along with future generations! I have to admit, when we first started planning the wedding and working out a budget, the photography was not our highest priority. We figured all you need is a few good pictures, if the day is great the images will be burned in your mind.

Once we started getting the details lined up, my husband suggested we contact his friend from college, Katelyn Nesi. Kate and I were mere acquaintances at the time, but as we spoke about the photography and the wedding plans, Kate and I became close and I looked forward to her emails and communication. When the big day arrived, Kate (and her assistant Chris) were absolutely fabulous. They kept everyone smiling, worked quickly through the standard family shots, and joined us at the ceremony.

The big surprise came after the wedding. We received a preview of the photos via email within a week; looking over these photos took my breath away! My awe with her work only increased when we saw the entirety of the wedding album. Yes, memories may burn in your mind and stay forever, but photos taken from an inspired and talented observer capture your event as nothing else can. The chemistry between my husband and I is palpable, the smiles of our guests warm my heart, and I can almost feel the humidity in that damp Seattle day.
