These guys kick butt! Phenomenal performers, such cool music, will learn songs for you if desired, super sweet group and always excited to work with fans of their band! Their projection was perfect, and they have all their own equipment!

We first heard about Jug Tucker a year or so before our wedding from people around town in Nags Head. We had wanted a band for our reception, but the prices were so high, we decided to go with a band for the ceremony and cocktail hour instead. My wife wanted a southern inspired wedding so Bluegrass music was the logical choice, and Jug Tucker was the band to have play. From the beginning we were in contact with Mark, who has a very nice, easy going personality and really put you at ease. Everything is very informal, from the loose contract, to the payment terms. This band are true professionals, they are great at recommending songs that fit your style, and are extremely easy to work with.

On the day of our wedding, Jug Tucker was supposed to play ceremony music outide by the Sound. Naturally, it rained for an hour leading up to the ceremony. Our coordinator made the call to have a pre-ceremony cocktail reception while the rain tapered off. The band came back to the clubhouse, lugged their gear up the stairs, and were only able play maybe one song before they were told to head back to the ceremony site. I felt horrible, but they took it in stride. The ceremony music was perfect. Our officiant started the processional a bit early before the bride arrived, but Jug Tucker easily adapted. My bride walked into an acoustic version of 'Wild Horses' which was so beautiful it makes me tear just thinking about it. The post-ceremony cocktail music was even better, very up beat and mood-setting. People raved about the bluegrass band at our wedding. I would HIGHLY recommend Jug Tucker for any event, especially a ceremony/cocktail hour like ours!
