I met John when I was a bridesmaid in my friend Jenn's wedding, and I was blown away by his work. When I became engaged 2 years later, John was one of the first people I contacted. My husband and I were planning on a September wedding. When we discoverd that John had no dates left in September, I didn't hesitate to switch our date to October. John was amazing! Our outdoor wedding was completely rained out, but you would not know that by looking at our wedding pictures. John captured the mood and atmosphere of the day beautifully! He was able to get all of our pictures in the 15 minutes we had when the rain broke. I would recommend John Lyons Wedding Photography to anyone. I knew I wanted John Lyons to photograph my wedding after reading an article about an award winning photo he took in our local newspaper, before I was even engaged! Needless to say, once I was engaged, I picked my wedding date based on his availability. Having read the other reviews, I see I am not not the only one!

John and Larisa took absolutely beautiful photos of our wedding. Almost two years later, my husband and I still look at them on a regular basis, and we have many of the shots framed and displayed in our home. John and Larisa had never shot at our ceremony or reception locations before, but despite their unfamiliarity, they were still able to capture a ton of stunning pictures which we love.

John and Larisa are wonderful people who were easy to work with and who helped make the whole day run as smoothly as possible. John was also an invaluable source of wedding information and knowledge, and was able to recommend several other vendors to me (including my amazing make-up artist) which really eased the stress of planning a wedding from out of town. I trusted his recommendations and they turned out to be great. I would highly recommend John and Larisa to anyone planning a wedding (and in fact have, he photographed my sister's wedding in August 2010).
