Great team photographer with Tara... Very Friendly and took great picture was very accommodating to Asian customs for pictures that we needed. Did excellent work couldn't have asked for a better photographers.

Wow. I can't believe how amazing Jeff and Tara were. Their level of professionalism and enthusiasm is unparalleled. We knew that our photos were the one thing that we would not cut cost on and Jeff and Tara have given us the most beautiful memories. This was especially important because we had a destination wedding, and not all of our friends and family could go. The photos we got make every person feel as if they were in California with us. They were so much fun to work with and they did a great job of catching every moment while not attracting attention to their work. They truly enjoy what they do and that makes the event much more fun. I honestly have never seen better photos anywhere, its mind blowing. I can't recommend Jeff Simpson photography enough, it was the single best decision we made for our wedding and I can't thank him and Tara enough.

Jeff is a fantastic photographer. Numerous friends and family who have seen pictures of our wedding and engagement shots have said "those look like they should be in a magazine." He especially excels at any kind of landscape shot. I really liked that he posted pictures from our wedding on his blog, so that we could share highlights with friends and family. He also posts all of the pictures on a separate section of his website, which we shared with those who wanted to see more. His rate was great and significantly less than others that we looked at in the D.C. area. He posted our pictures within a month, which we thought was impressive. We highly recommend him.

For us a good photographer was a top priority for our wedding. We were looking for professionalism, creativity, quality and a good connection; we wanted to feel comfortable with them, after all, they were going to be with us for several hours on the most important day of our lives.

When we met Jeff Simpson and Tara Parekh, we found everything we were looking for and more. We were very impressed with their work and creative eye. We did our engagement pictures with them, it was a cold and windy day in Georgetown, but they made it fun and got us comfortable in front of the camera. The pictures turned out amazing. The day of the wedding they arrived early, they were there from the beginning until the very end capturing every detail and special moment. We would HIGHLY recommend them!!

Also - we took advantage of Jeff's package to include an engagement session, which turned out wonderfully. He not only gave us great shots, but managed time very well, and was very realistic about how much time we'd need to get the shots we wanted.

My pictures were amazing. Jeff did a great job. I barely noticed that he was there but he got some really unique shots. His rates are VERY reasonable for the DC metro area also. Friends and family keep telling my how great my pictures look.

Jeff did an amazing job with both our engagement and wedding photos! He is extremely talented and every one of our photos turned out beautifully. The photos were a mix of candid and portrait shots, with a bit more emphasis on the candid side, which is what we were going for. The only recommendation I would offer would be to bring a copy of your preferred portrait shots for the day of, because it is easy to get wrapped up in the moment and miss some of the shots with everyone you had planned to get pictures with. Overall, we are extremely happy with Jeff and his ability to capture our special day!

My husband and I hired Jeff for a bride and groom photo session. We weren't impressed with our original photographer and after working with Jeff, we wished we had used him for our actual wedding. He was very responsive and accommodating. He has an interesting artistic approach in his photos and it's very unique. Needless to say, we were happy with our post wedding photos. It's a shame he didn't do our wedding. I think he would have really captured some great photos!

Finding all the components and pieces that make a wedding day special can be the most stressful part of the entire process. Finding quality vendors is a daunting task and sometimes relying on instinct is the only thing that can give you piece of mind.

When we first looked for photographers in the Washington DC area for our wedding we were severely disappointed. The quality of work was in most cases never commensurate with the fees associated with them. I remember vividly pouring over 100’s of photographs looking for the right photographer. It seemed like the area was saturated with photographers who were concerned with the business and not art.

It wasn’t until my wife and I were reviewing craigslist that we arrived at a website simply titled Jeff Simpson Photography. My wife commented on the how exceptional each of the pictures were. How the photographer had the most amazing eye and seemed to capture the couples in a static, beautiful photograph that captured timeless examples of love. We had to have him. Our photographs were no different from the photos we viewed in Jeff’s portfolio.

Jeff is a pleasure to work with. We found him to be very professional and timely with the photo proofs and the upload of the photos of our wedding. He was so wonderful, we have personally recommended him to many couples and will continue to do so over the years. Jeff is exactly what we were looking for in a wedding photographer. I found Jeff online and was blown away by his work. Being an artist myself I wanted creative photography for my wedding. Jeff not only provided amazing pictures, he was also willing to work with us when plans changed. His flexibility and response time was great! I would 100% recommend him to any and every bride! We are a very easy going couple and did not want a lot of fuss with the photography at our wedding. Jeff was able to get all the shots anyone would ever want from their wedding and most of the time we didn't even notice him. I still haven't figured out how he took some of the photos that day. He was able to take photos of us and our family that I wouldn't trade for the world.

I was looking for a fine art photographer for my parents anniversary, and was recommended Jeff by a friend. His work exceeded far beyond my expectation. We have a few of the photos on large canvas now. He has an eye for capturing the light and activity of large events. Its a hard job to work with so many, but Jeff managed it really well.

The shots of our wedding are simply amazing. Photography was extremely important for us - we had to have excellent pictures to commemorate our special day. We decided on Jeff because, besides being incredibly friendly and easy to work with, we loved his style. He didn't disappoint -- the images are incredible, and we couldn't be happier. I would strongly recommend signing up for the engagement session as well. Some of the shots Jeff took are our all-time favorite pictures of us, and they will be hanging on our wall for the rest of our lives. Jeff just can't be beat.
