FANTASTIC!!! I found James through a high school buddy who used him, and I had been blown away by the wedding photos he did for her. I then went to his website and was blown away even more. I decided right then and there that I wanted him for my wedding, without even meeting him. He is pricy, but worth EVERY penny. He is one of the only photographers I could find that still used film vs. digital. He could set up a shot in his head without the help of an LCD screen in front of him. After meeting him in his home/studio, there was no question in my mind that he was the best. The day of the wedding, you wouldn't have even known he was there! After the event I waited anxiously for the prints, and was not dissapointed. They arrived on my door via Fed-ex in less than a month ( remember real film..not digital-less than a month!) and I was so happy with the results. He captured everything from start to finish and there were so many candid shots that you didn't even know had happened that he caught on film. I get compliments all the time on my photos and chose to make our thank you cards-postcards using one of our favorite pictures. I have 2 sisters and a brother all yet to marry, and I know that we will use James for all of our future events!

James is a genius with a camera. He returns e-mails and phone calls within 1 day! I'm really pleased with all the photos that he took. He capitured all the 'moments' of the day. He's worth the money.

James is a phenomenal photography with a photo journalism and highly creative eye. He made us feel comfortable and happy. He was able to capture many shots from our wedding where those photographed were not even aware that he was there. He is fun and has a fresh perspective. We ended up with hundreds of photos that we have been able to give to our families and friends. He is worth every penny and more. I would recommend the high-resolution DVD to anyone. We have every negative and every image. It's wonderful!

James Roy took some wonderful, innovative and elegant pictures. I would have liked to have more pictures of my guests during the reception, I would recommend being very specific with your picture requests.
