PLEASE think twice before hiring Missy to plan your wedding. I found her website on the knot and after comparing her and other higher priced wedding planners I chose her. I am now out of $792 and learned a valuable lesson that you get what you pay for.

At the time I signed my contract, Aug 26, I had 6 months to plan my wedding. Missy was slow to return emails, never returned phone calls, said that she would meet with me to look at venues and failed to follow through, and just all around made the beginning of my wedding planning way more streesful becuase I was having to do what I paid her to do. By September 9 (just a few weeks) I knew this was not going to work so I sent an email explaining why I was dissapointed in service and asked to be let out of my contract and asked for half of my money back since she did meet with me once and provided 3 venues via email. I knew I may not get my money back but I thought I would AT LEAST get a response. No response for a month. I sent another email on 10/7. Today is 12/4 and I still have not recieved an email from Missy.
I am now out of almost $800 with nothing to show excpet for a contract. Not only is Missy (in my opinion) a poor wedding planner she also has poor character.

I have two co-workers that used Belle of the Ball for their wedding planning and I have heard nothing but great things. You really do get what you pay for. Spend the extra cash for peace of mind and quality.

Very disappointing to know that Missy caused drama to other brides beside myself. She cost us so much headache it was beyond belief. I should have trust my fiance's, now husband's, instinct when he said he wasn't happy with how she was handling things, or the lack thereof. She was slow to return emails and to handle our requests. We basically did everything on our own. She was hired for the "day of" package that she offered, and I knew we would do majority of the work, but when it came to handling the "day of" she was definitely a disappointment. She did not coordinate anything! She didn't even make the schedule. And when I sent her a schedule I came up with, she never even gave me any feedback. My photographer had to give me feedback on the schedule saying it was too crampt. Things were very hectic on my wedding day, and to top it off, she cost us close to 2000 in damages. She was responsible for the delivery and set up of the flowers, decorating coordination, linens, cake, etc. She failed to remove candles that were against the linen company's code, and the candles ended up putting burn marks and wax on our linens, which in turn cost us a lot of money. We stopped her payment, and after requesting her to compensate some of the damages, we never heard from her again. I'm very happy to hear that she is no longer in business.

I cannot believe it! My wife and I who got married in September 2010 had almost the exact same experience word for word as b_rogers who left a review on 12/1/10. I would echo everything she said and would advise you not to hire.

Missy was an absolutely amazing wedding coordinator. She was my Day Of coordinator and went above and beyond to meet with me (many times!) prior to my wedding day to ensure that everything went flawlessly. She is professional, creative, personable, organized, and forgot nothing! Her attention to detail and unique ideas really contributed to my wedding being the special event that it was. I can't recommend Missy with Isn't She Lovely enough for anyone in need of event planning!
