  Thank you for capturing the love and joy in our special day!

  I just cannot thank you enough for all the amazing photos from our wedding!! It was such a magical day and you captured every moment. Both the planned and unplanned!! The pictures are just ........ I have no words. I tear up every time I look at the moment you captured on my sweet husband's face as I walked out to meet him. It will never be forgotten. Thank you again for shooting our special day and making it as magical as we felt!!

  Ashley is amazing at what she does! We had her for our entire wedding day, from start to finish! She was with the girls getting ready in the morning and running from house to house to make sure she got pictures of the guys getting ready as well. Extremely professional and personable, works with you to make sure she gets the pictures you personally want as well as traditional wedding day photos. Great at keeping everyone on task! I'm sure a lot of you know how hard it is to keep the groomsmen on task. She knows every in and out of the wedding world, if your not sure of something, ask, I'm sure she's got the answer! In addition to our wedding photos she also did our engagement shoot when we first got engaged, which turned out amazing!!

  My whole wedding day would not have been the same without Ashley and Island Photography. They were prepared for EVERYTHING, and taking pictures with them was a blast. Even my husband enjoyed having them--I was worried about him feeling awkward having so many pictures taken! We also LOVE that they give you a CD of every picture they took--they believe its your wedding and your images should belong to you. I can't recommend them enough!

  Loved our engagement pictures. Ashley was so easy to work with and made us feel comfortable.
  Our wedding day went by so quick, we are so happy have the great pictures that Island Photography took for us. Thank you Ashley for your talent and great memories that we get to look at over and over again for years to come.

  All I can say is they were amazing! Allie, Mike and Ashley were just simply the BEST! It is not that easy to plan something from a distance but they make it so easy. From the first time I met Allie I just knew she was the perfect person to shot my wedding and I was right. She has the cooliest vibe and so down to earth. The day of the wedding you knew this was not their first time at the rodeo. Allie had everything we had forgotten in her bag, it was just amazing. They knew every important shot and they were all placed at the right spot at the right time. There are a lot of photographers in OBX but I am so happy with everything they did for us. I HIGHLY recommend them! They get you your shots back so quickly and I have so MANY people tell me how awesome they were! The pictures look absolutely amazing and gives me a changes to relive that wonderful day again and again!

  When we started looking for photographers, I immediately knew at the wedding expo that if I had my choice of anyone it would definitely be Island Photography. The engagement pictures were awesome and everyone loved them…..now everyone loves the wedding and trash the dress photos! Mike & Allie are so much fun. Now, we can have all of the pictures we want and can always access copies if needed. We knew we were in good hands, and it definitely shows. Would def recommend to anyone!

  We can't even express how grateful we are for all of Mike and Allie’s help and hard work on our wedding day and the beautiful photos that they captured! We had a very small wedding with only immediate family, but they were both so great with everyone, from 1 year old Aiden to his 77 year old Great Grandma whose claim to fame is being "allergic" to having her picture taken!!
  The day flew by so fast and the images really tell the story of our day! The YouTube video that they created within a week is just awesome and such a great way to give friends a glimpse of our beautiful ocean-side wedding!

  Mike and Allie are so friendly and take amazing pictures. We got some amazing candid as well as posed photos. Everyone commented on how great they were at the wedding. We received the pictures quickly as well.

  Mike & Allie were so awesome!!! They gave us lots of chioces and pics to choose from, they were easy to get along with and made our special days even more wonderful!!! The best!!!!!

  Mike and Allie are awesome. Allie follows you around with a little backpack fixing your hair and makeup and calming you down. Not only do their fun personalities show in their pictures, but the photos are also beautiful!

  Mike and Allie were a blast to work with! We had such a great time getting our wedding photos done by them. They were so friendly and got our photos back to us qucikly! They also gave us a great deal. We would reccomend them to anyone who is looking to get photos done on the Outer Banks. Our wedding photos were FANTASTIC!!!!!

  Having great photos of our wedding was our number one priority after venue site. Allie and Mike did not disappoint! In addition to the wedding, we also did an engagement shoot with them on the beach, which was a great way to get to know them even more before the wedding day. Between the two of them, Allie and Mike shot over 4000 photographs of the ceremony and reception -- AMAZING! They condensed it down to just under 2000, and we got to keep the cds with all the images. They also put together an AMAZING YouTube video montage of their favorite shots which was an easy way to share the highlights with guests and friends. Allie and Mike have an amazing synergy in their work -- they defer to another if one of them has a better shot, they know what the other is thinking, and the move seamlessly as a team. Not only are they great photographers, they're just a lot of fun! I'm an event planner in DC, and I'd use them regularly for my events if they lived closer!

  Allie and Mike were incredible photographers! They work well together, and they get tons of incredible shots quickly as a result. They were very helpful and organized in general - helping me know how to pose, showing me where to stash my tissue, bustling my dress. I had somewhat rainy weather during the wedding, and I was sure that the photos wouldn't be that great - it was gray, the wind and rain had ruined my hair, etc. But when I saw the photos, I literally cried with joy - they were that amazing! I got 1247 photos back to me in the middle of my honeymoon - so fast! Two professional photographers, giving me that many beautiful photos that quickly, and for that price, was a huge value!

  We ABSOLUTEY loved everything about working with Mike and Allie! They were awesome. We had our photos before we even got back from our Honeymoon! They capture every moment and their photos were beautiful. Allie was there for me more than a normal photographer would be - she had bobbypins, mints, tissues, anything for the last minute fix! My Mom raves about them to everyone and wants us to vacation next year in the Outer Banks just to hire them for family photos. I would recommend them to anyone getting married in the Outer Banks area. Thanks again Allie and Mike! - Chris and Erin Cohen

  AMAZING!!! I could not have asked for more. It was great to have a team of two photographers and they work so well together. Everyone at the wedding raved about how awesome they were - yes, even the guest's noticed.   Allie and Mike are just wonderful, and worth every penny! We had over 1,600 pictures and they all came out beautifully!! Allie is so much fun. We had a blast with her while we were getting ready.
  
  She managed to take this hilarious picture of my sister-in-laws and I. One was doing my make-up while the other was doing the one doing my make-up's hair (you follow? :-)
  
  The best picture by far was one they did on the beach of my husband and I kissing with the clouds in the background, and my veil blowing in the wind. The way they manipulated the cloud color to look more blue-ish (it was overcast that day) was just beautiful! They also caught a picture of one of my dad's friends doing the worm at the reception!
  
  I'm contemplating asking them if they can do some more pics for me around our year anniversary so that we can do a trash-the-dress shoot, depending on their availability and my finances.

  Mike and Allie Hawkins did a wonderful job with taking pictures at our wedding. We went with the elopment package, which was exactly what we needed. They took some very pretty shots on the beach that we were able to blow up. Also, they provided us with the CD- which was not an option that other photographers had. They were also fun and put us at ease. We would highly recommend them.

  I am very disappointed, we purchased her most expensive package and the pictures turned out great. but the issue we are having is, after our honeymoon I contacted her to start working on our photo albums she contacted me back. but after a while of not hearing any thing from her I contacted her again to see how it was coming along she told me that she would call and see how things were coming along. after a little while of not hearing from her I contacted her again, but no answer. I have tried calling texting and emailing her and still no answer. it has been a 1 1/2 years sense my wedding and I still have not received my albums. its about 4000 dollar of product that have not received. so I am very disappointed.
