We used Beka's new partner, Kimberly Fink, because Beka was already booked for our daughter’s July 2010 wedding. Kimberly does not live up to Beka's reputation. We contracted for "day-of plus 10 hours." She worked more than the 20+ hours contracted but the end result was unsatisfactory. She has good taste and clever ideas but wasn't helpful implementing them. For example, she offered to provide printer-ready artwork for wedding programs, menu, etc. but her turn-around time was extremely slow (weeks). She only responded to our emails sporatically and twice she was out of touch for 4-5 days without an away message on her phone. The week before the wedding was very stressful as we finished things I thought she was going to do for us. She was in touch with all our vendors before the wedding and on the day of she delivered lunch to the girls, coordinated the transportation, helped set up the venue, paid the vendors, and took the wedding gifts and family pictures to her office at the end of the reception. But she did not attend to the bride or the family. For example, the father of the bride missed the cake cutting, the slide show was not running and the soft pretzels were not displayed on schedule. (We were the ones who prepared the timeline which I think should have been her responsiblilty---drafting it AND making sure everyone followed it.) After the wedding she gave me the "Official Wedding Certificate" and said that it needed to be mailed to the state immediately. I learned that the "Wedding Certificate" is the portion of the wedding license retained by the bride and groom which she obviously didn't know. She gave both my daughter and me the feeling that our wedding was a part-time job for her and she was very busy with other things. I can’t recommend her in spite of her pleasant personality and good ideas.
