Vicki, Bobbi, and all of the ladies at the 64th street Hyvee were absolutely amazing! We decided to do a fruit, vegetable, and cheese display alongside a whole roasted hog that we got from a different vendor. Vicki worked with me to come get a feeling of the venue and our needs for our reception and she pulled it off without a hitch. Her and her team were our little catering angels! During my 'hide the bride' time, my friends and family kept coming to tell me how amazing the display was and how quick they were and boy were they right! I actually never got the chance to see them do their work because they were so quiet and efficient which is exactly what you need the day of your wedding. I have had other brides tell me of the horror stories of their very expensive caterers hassling them the day of their wedding for answers to questions they should know themselves or should have asked sooner and this is definitely not the case with the HyVee team. And beyond that, the quality of the product was amazing! Thank you so much HyVee for helping our reception be amazing as it was!

After looking at several florist options and realizing the cost for a simple bouquet of roses, we choose to go with Hy-Vee's florist. The cost just couldn't even compete and the quality of roses was wonderful. In the end I got a gorgeous bouquet of roses for half the cost of other local florists.

We used the Prairie Village Hy-vee on State Line to cater our wedding, and we cannot rave about Ryan enough! He was amazing. Food was great too, but Ryan was incredibly helpful. He thought of everything, handled everything for us, even drove around with us to rental companies all over town looking for the specific linens we wanted. It was a wonderful experience, and we were incredibly pleased with our choice to go with Hy-vee and Ryan!

The wedding cake that we ordered from Hyvee was delicious. We ordered a 3-tiered square cake. This size cake feeds 96 guests. The cake and icing were delicious and there wasn't a bad after tastes like some sweets give. Our colors for the wedding were ivory and blue. Our cake was ivory with white pearl dots all around and a beautiful swirly design that resembled the flowers that were embroidered on my victorian lace wedding gown.


I had two complaints. The first was when we went for our cake tasting. The staff didn't seem to be prepared. I had made the appointment the day before. When me and my fiance arrived, the cake decorator immediately started showing us pictures and asking questions about our vision for the design. We had to request the samples. This was a bit odd since we were there for a cake tasting. Also, there was no silverware to taste the cake. The cake decorator told us we could go get our own plasticware from the salad bar. Again, since we had made an appointment I assumed the tasting would be setup accordingly.


Lastly on the receipt my name was spelled wrong. I had spelled it to them over the phone and again in person when I saw it was wrong. This is a minor detail since no names would be written on the cake. Yet it is still a disrespect not to correct it when I bring it to your attention. I called the day before to confirm that the cake would be ready by 10:00 a.m. on our wedding day.


Planning a wedding is exciting and stressful. The cake decorator I worked with didn't seem excited about her job at all. I didn't let her sour attitude bother me. In the end we got the cake we wanted and it was beautiful.

We used HyVee for our Rehearsal Dinner. It was perfect and delicious!
We also used HyVee flowers for the bridesmaids bouquets...we bought them and put them together ourselves...affordable and beautiful!

Melody was wonderful from day 1. We sat down for a long time and went into more detail than expected, which was easy for us to make a choice on who we wanted to do our flowers. Very professional and attentive to our wants and our vision. She and her staff did a beautiful job! Highly recommended!

I had the HyVee on North St. Clair Avenue do my flowers (as well as my cake). Becky was the woman who helped me, and I was extremely happy with my flowers, both the decor and the bouquets! The price was pretty reasonable. But, most importantly, the ceremony decor was absolutely breath-taking and my bouquet was just gorgeous. I organized most of the arrangements from out of town and Becky was pretty good at being responsive to my emails. I would recommend HyVee for flowers (and cake) to anyone!

Hyvee listened to what we wanted and made an outstanding cake for our wedding.The size was perfect and the flavors we picked out gave the cake an extraordinary taste that I will never forget.Hyvee did a great job!

After spending all our money on wedding essentials I did not want to spend more than $500.00 on my cake. Well, I was worried it wasn't going to be the best qaulity or taste. To my surprise my cake was DELICOUS!!!

We received the right sized cake and it tasted exactly like we wanted it to.Hyvee was great with matching up our cake with the picture we brought in.The design and decoration made our cake look fabulous.Everyone at our wedding though we shelled out a lot of money for it but they don't know the amazing deal we got from Hyvee.

Hyvee made a very delicious and healthy cake for us.They where very flexible with ingredients and designs.With their help we had a very impressive cake to share with everyone.

We used the HyVee on St. Clair Avenue, in the Kansas City northland. Garen Shorten is the head caterer there. Our guests can't stop talking about the food and how wonderful it was. (It's been two weeks.) They can't believe that HyVee did it. Everything was delicious... and when we told them it was HyVee, their jaws dropped. I'm glad we ended up ordering too much food... because everyone kept going back for more... they couldn't get enough. I can't say enough wonderful things about Garen and his team of caterers. They truly made my reception wonderful.

The cake was nice. The color was a little off on the flowers, but I should have brought something to match it with. The cake wasn't my main concern because I knew we were just going to eat it. The taste was great and it was delivered in good condition and on time.
