I cannot say enough good things about Kawania and her team. They helped us have the wedding of our dreams. Months before we signed her on, before we even knew what state we were holding our wedding, Kay was already helping us with location ideas. We were so impressed with her service from the moment we met her. After our initial meeting there was no question that she would be our coordinator.
Hiring her team was one of the best things we could have done for our wedding. Halfway into planning, we moved 3 states away from our wedding and Kay made it so easy to plan from afar. She is so knowledgable, helpful, caring and generous. She made us feel like family.
Howerton Wooten Events is not your ordinary wedding vendor. They truly care about the success of your event and your happiness and I'm so thankful to have worked with them.

I worked with the owner Kawania Wooten on my event and her associate Letetia Evans. Kawania was very involved throughout the process and even added special touches to my day. She was caring, responsive and supportive. Letetia provided on-site support the day of my wedding. She did a wonderful job; other vendors are still raving about what a good job she did. I planned my wedding, they helped along the way and they made it all a reality the day of. The wedding was perfect!

Kawania Wooten is an amazing wedding planner & coordinator! She's extremely down-to-earth and very easy to talk to and get along with. My husband and I clicked with her immediately.
Being new to the DC area, I was struggling with finding reputable wedding vendors. Kawania helped us to find great wedding vendors to work with that fit into our wedding budget. She's very personable and maintains good relationships with the quality vendors she's worked with in previous weddings. She always gave us 3 options to choose from.
Kawania went out of her way to make sure that our personalities were reflected in our wedding. She took the time to get to know us and offered us great ideas on how to incorporate bits and pieces of us in our ceremony and reception. My husband and I are Indian Orthodox Christians and Kawania researched our faith to better understand our traditions.
Our wedding turned out to be fabulous! We have Kawania Wooten and the rest of the Howerton+Wooten Events team to thank for that :) I highly recommend their services to any bride & groom.

Howerton+Wooten Events, LLC was the wisest choice my wife and I could have made for our wedding coordination. We had numerous opportunities to sit down and discuss our 'vision' of what we wanted to see happen on our special day, and our coordinator made sure that she 'got it'. They assessed all of our challenges, and took them over for us, thus taking the stress off my bride-to-be just as I wished. They successfully navigated the pitfalls of dealing with wedding vendors for us, and steered us clear of disaster. On the day of our wedding, the associates of Howerton+Wooten Events, LLC pulled our event together in a very personal way, making us feel as though not only did we hire professionals, but people who had made our interest their own. We felt like they were extended family, and that reinforced our choice of coordinators to the very end. My wife and I recommend Howerton+Wooten Events, LLC for the planning or coordination of any event in the strongest possible terms!

The people at Howerton + Wooten Events, LLC were an ABSOLUTE LIFESAVER. I simply could not have managed to put together/manage/execute my wedding (which was a smashing smooth-running success btw :) ) Without Kay and her crew that I know were bustling behind the scenes. Both myself, Mother, Mother-in-law, bridesmaids/MOH, were all full time manic-busy women with very little time to spare. There is no way I would have ever been able to put in the time and effort needed to put on the wedding of my dreams without H+Ws help.
From our very first meeting Kay listened (and I mean *actually listened*) to my ideas and style. She made every effort an then some to try and meet the style ideas that my husband and I had, and when and idea was not quite what I had in mind, we were able to communicate and tweak without any stress or frustration.
The day of our wedding Kay and her Team were there every second of the way making sure that all the other vendors and moving parts and pieces were all doing what they were supposed to. I think the greatest gift they gave me was allowing both my husband and I, and our parents, to simply ENJOY THE DAY. I did not have to spend my time thinking...."did the cake get there?"....."is the DJ all set?"....."are the limos where they need to be?" I could just be a bride on my wedding day....what a concept!!!
The other item I am very grateful for, and I pray that another bride does not have to go through this, but in the 8 months up to my wedding, I had two close family members pass away. My Grandfather passing 3 weeks prior to the big day. The fact that I could set my wedding planning completely aside, and not have spend a second worrying about missing anything important was an absolute blessing.
I can't say enough about the professionalism and honest care and dedication that the folks at H+W will be able to show you. They are your absolute best bet.

The staff of Howerton+ Wooten events were PHENOMENAL. Throughout the many ups and downs of wedding planning Kawania was the consumate professional. My wedding days stress free and relaxing and I am positive that was a direct result of the hard work of Howerton+Wooten events. I would absolutely recommend them to any bride and groom.

We couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner! Kawania Wooten was the most professional and efficient planner I've encountered. She anticipated my questions and helped make a truly stressful day - my father in law passed away two hours before our wedding ceremony - a beautiful day filled with love and happiness. There was only joy and love at our wedding and reception. She kept all the vendors on target as well. I would more than highly recommend Howerton and Woooten for any and all aspects of one's wedding planning. You don't have a second chance to get this right!

Love the way the owner/head planner was always involved even though she was not going to be at my event. She even called during the event to check and she how things were going.
