The best cupcakes and wedding cake ever!

first I would like to say that working with the wedding cake coordinator, Christine was wonderful. She was able to take our vision for our cake and make it a reality. She was professional and very helpful. The day of the wedding the cake looked beautiful!!! We had bragged about how delicious the cake was going to be after our tasting and were very excited about the four different flavors of the cake. In fact we decided to go with this bakery because I had fallen in love with their strawberry cake with strawberry cream cheese frosting, and knew I had to have it as part of my wedding cake...well unfortunately the bakery did not include the four flavors that we had chosen!!! There was no strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting at my wedding!!! Instead there was a white cake with whipped cream frosting and fresh fruit...I asked my wedding planner to bring us a sample plate with all four of our delicious choices...she brought us a plate...I told her she had missed a flavor, my favorite one... she came back again without the strawberry cake...then she even cut into our cake top to check, no strawberry cake! That was the flavor we wanted the most! Needless to say we were disappointed, but we decided to not let it ruin the rest of the night. The other three flavors that we did order were delicious and no one but us knew there was something wrong. The chocolate marble banana cake and red velvet were standouts. However I still would have given a much better review if I had received the correct cake altogether. It was quite an expensive cake and I don't think it would have been difficult to get an order correct. Christine the bakeries coordinator was nice and listened to my complaint, but nothing as of now has been done to compensate for the mistake of not actually getting the cake that we ordered! Overall, this is a bakery that makes beautiful and delicious cakes, but they could be more detailed oriented and pay closer attention to what they make and what the customer actually wants.

Lindi (the wedding coordinator at Hotcakes) was a dream to work with. We were dealing with a tight budget and she made lots of suggestions for saving a bit of money. She is super professional and her communication is great. I never had to wait long for info from her.

They came in and set up our cupcake tower at the venue. We left some flowers for them to use to decorate. I was blown away when I saw what they did with it. It was the most beautiful cupcake tower I have ever seen.

And the cupcakes were DELICIOUS. Our guests loved them.

Hotcakes Bakes is the BEST.

Hotcakes Bakes provided our wedding favors for our May 23rd 2009 wedding; the cookies were delicious!! The flavors we chose were devil's food and chocolate chip. They even decorated the favor boxes with ribbon and sticker labels that I had given them. It was so awesome to have their help with that step, because it was one less thing that I had to think about! Talya was very nice, helpful and coordinated our order. She made sure that everything was perfect for us. The cookie favors were a big hit at the wedding. In fact, guests were asking us if we had extra cookies that they could take home with them. Even now, my husband and I still stop by the bakery to pick up some goodies!
