We interviewed several other photographers and once we met with Heather, we knew she was the perfect fit. Her knowledge of the University Club and the several tips that no one else had shared with us gave us the certainty that we made the right decision. I've never seen anyone move more quickly to get the perfect photo. Heather didn't hesitate to tell people where to go and what to do to keep us on schedule. We enjoyed working with Heather, but never expected both our engagement photos and wedding pictures could turn out as well as they did! We have so many amazing photos to remember such a special day.

what can i say about heather? she is really beyond words amazing. we booked her for our august 2011 wedding... and she has been an absolute dream to work with. the e-mail chain between heather and i stands somewhere around 100+ emails... but no matter how silly my questions are, she always responds in a helpful, kind, intelligent way... we did our engagement shoot last year... i was so nervous, but heather really helped calm me down... and once we got in front of the camera, with her direction and expertise, it was so much fun! she has a way of making you feel completely comfortable... which makes the photos turn out GREAT! our wedding was in august... and we are in love with the photos. heather gave awesome suggestions on where to go around the city for the best & most unique shots... and the candids from the wedding are fantastic. we didn't use a videographer, so we knew that an amazing photographer would make or break the wedding memories... heather certainly did not let us down! we loved every minute while working with her... if you want beautiful, photo-journalistic style photography for your wedding... heather is your girl.

If I did one thing right on my wedding day, besides marry my husband, it was booking Heather as my wedding photographer. I looked high and low for the beautiful photo's that are creative and truly capture the feelings of the wedding and our personalities and that is exactly what Heather's talent is able to do. When a little teaser went up I had family and lots of friends who weren't even at the wedding telling me how incredible my wedding photos are. Heather is also extremely easy to work with. She was very personable with us and then she was the best kind of photographer you didn't even know she was there, so looking at my photos I am in shock at how amazing they are because she was so subtle taking her photos that I couldn't believe the fantastic shots she got. This is the best type of photographer because they aren't in anyone's way. She is very professional and I can't wait to have her capture more events in our future!

Heather was a fantastic photographer from beginning to end. Before the wedding, she helps couples sort out the schedule for their big day, and gives great directions on when to take certain shots. Her experience in doing many weddings in invaluable in knowing what works and what doesn't.

We have received many compliments on the photos we received. When they arrived a couple weeks after the wedding, we sat and watched them as a slideshow for 2 hours - it was like watching a stunning video of our entire day. The images are crisp and beautifully saturated with color and life. Heather is amazing at capturing the mood, energy and feeling of your wedding day.

My dad commented on the fact that throughout the wedding, you never knew that Heather was there, but she got such great shots she was clearly everywhere she needed to be.

Overall, we highly recommend Heather if stunning photos are a priority for your wedding.

Overall I was very happy with Heather. We got some wonderful shots and she was very accomodating in terms of what we wanted to do, where we wanted to shoot, etc. The pictures are amazing and she did a wonderful job blending in at the reception, I didn't even realize she was there! My only comment for future brides is that you have to have an idea of the shots you want, she didn't really recommend too many - I would have liked her to be more assertive in terms of asking people to look at the camera, move around so the shots could be completely perfect. But all in all, definitely recommend her!

It was such a pleasure to work with Heather! We were referred to her by our florist. After meeting her for just a few minutes and seeing her unique photojournalistic style, we hired her on the spot and cancelled our future appointments. She has a great sense of humor and was relaxed but thorough throughout the planning process and on the day. She really caught the feel of the day, from the 'getting ready' pics, the emotion of the ceremony, and the candid moments, to the overall look/feel of the reception. When it started snowing, we were doubtful of how many good pics we would get around the city, but Heather's creativity led to some amazing photos that we constantly receive complements on. Heather Parker was the perfect photographer for our wedding! We wanted a photojournalistic style and Heather achieved it wonderfully! We knew immediately upon meeting her that she was the right fit for us... her work spoke for itself. Her excitement about her work shows her true passion.

We didn't really want to do the engagement shoot, as neither my husband nor I find ourselves very photogenic, but it was included in our package so there we were... and we got great photos that we never would have had otherwise. It was a great opportunity to see Heather's work of us before the actual wedding day and be sure we were all on the same page as far as style when it came to the wedding.

Heather was great about getting shots that captured the beauty of the moment. There were a few little details (I am pretty sure I am seriously the only one who has ever noticed them) that I would have preferred be fixed, but I understand there is not always a chance to say "hey turn your bracelet so we don't see the clasp." That being said, she also got some of the best photos ever in existence of my Dad.

She really didn't suggest locations or shots, but I really appreciated this. I wanted our pictures to reflect us, not just the typical wedding. Not having a list of suggested locations we had to think outside of the box and find locations special to us, that reflected our life together... and most of those images are my favorite ones!!!

Heather really went out of her way to foresee any hiccups in the day and our scheduling to be sure it was going to run as smoothly as possible.

Heather is a true professional and knows her stuff. She makes sure that you get the best pictures for the time you have with her. Her focus is away from posey and more towards photojournalism, which we loved. I couldn't have asked for anything more in a photographer and cannot wait to see the rest of our wedding pictures!

Heather shot our January wedding in Cohasset, MA. As a native bay-stater living in Chicago, Heather was a natural choice as she's also from Massachusetts and shoots weddings in both cities. She shot our engagement pictures in Chicago and we have over 1300 beautiful images of our wedding day. She and her second shooter documented our entire day in stunning style. We will cherish the memories she captured for a lifetime. Her package is was reasonable (notably less than phtographers of comparable skill and experience), and included everything we needed and wanted. It gave us full rights to our images (all of them, as soon as were ready), and didn't force us to purchase a pricey album. Heather and her second shooter were pleasant, creative, and knowlegeble professionals, and as the child of a professional photographer, even the most particular in my family were wowed by her work. The final product (in addition to being of exceptional quality) was delivered right on time, as promised! A+++

Heather was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She was extremely friendly and professional. She made my husband and I feel very comfortable during shooting which really showed in the photos. Our wedding photos came out beautifully- I have gotten countless compliments on them. I am so happy I chose her.

For us, photography was one of the most important parts of our wedding. Photography is what lasts forever. (Besides the marriage of course, but you’ll have to find your own person there!) It preserves and shapes your memories of the day. Heather is an absolutely wonderful photographer; you only have to look at her work to see that. I feel like I gave my guests a present by letting them have inexpensive access to fantastic professional pictures of themselves. She makes people look great! She also had Ron as her 2nd photographer, he made sure to get the “extra” different perspective shots and he did a great job being unobtrusive, yet being there for the small and big moments. Heather and Ron would both run over to wherever was needed to get the shot. I like how someone called them ninja’s, very appropriate.
Heather is expensive. In fact, she is the second most expensive part of our wedding following the renting of the site/food. This was tough for us, because every other decision we made was firmly based in price including using an off-day and time and keeping a small guest list (which is very difficult). However, as I said photography is high on our list and I don’t regret hiring her at all. We knew right away she was the one. We also own the rights to our pictures so we (and our friends/family) can print any picture we want anywhere. (She also uploads them to a quality site for people to order from.) She includes an engagement shoot so you can get to know her and get used to the camera. We did it even though we were short on time and I’m glad: more great pictures and a trial run.
The wedding pictures turned out wonderfully and we have lots of them. All the important moments, plus the small fun moments which are the best for me. Two small problems are that one of my straps was down for all of my photographs of me by myself, which really bugs me, plus when we did a shot I really wanted of the bridal party popping out from behind trees, there is not one shot where everyone can be seen. There were only 2 guys and 2 girls, so it should have been fairly easy to say, “I can’t see 1 of the girls, come out farther.” But, Heather is not assertive in fixing what is in front of the camera like that, she takes the best shot she sees. That being said those are pretty small disappointments considering the fantastic shots we got of everything else. It might be a good idea to have a friend (not in many pictures) be a spotter looking for details like that and bringing them up on the spot.
Heather has also been great about further questions we’ve had about photography and has been quick to respond whenever we’ve had questions or asked her advice. She is great to work with and I’m glad we chose her. I’ve had several people ask me about her wanting to use her for their own or a child’s wedding in the future and I whole-heartedly recommend her.

Heather photographed our September 2009 wedding at Gallery 1028 in Chicago, and she did an amazing job. We wanted artistic photos that would retell the story of our wedding day, and that's exactly what we got. Heather was professional, creative, and super easy to work with. Our photos are nothing short of stunning, and we are so glad we hired her!

I have said this before, but I don't think Heather sleeps. She is so responsive, professional, and as flexible as possible in spite of her busy schedule. The value for the cost was beyond what I even anticipated. Heather made my husband and I feel special on our wedding day and went above and beyond to get some fabulous shots in church that has very stringent rules for photography! I would recommend Heather to any bride.

Heather's photos speak for themselves. You can honestly look at her blog/gallery and know the quality level you can expect of your album. Also, her wedding packages are fabulous and would work well for any bride. She is incredibly talented.

I loved working with Heather on my wedding day. She was fun and quirky but professional and down to business at the same time. All the photos turns out beautifully. She surprised us in so many ways, like when she borrowed our rings and put them around a few stems of roses to snap a shot. Sometimes during the day I'd think to myself "this would be a great photo" and there she would almost magically appear. After we got back from our honeymoon, we had a sampling of great pictures in our email. I'm happy we went with her and I would very much recommend her.
