Other than the crab cakes (which had a lot of shell in them), the food was excellent and they were really open to our ideas about how we wanted the event catered. They were also the most reasonable of the caterers and the staff was great.

Katie and David sat down with my husband and I and immediately we felt an overwhelming connection. In fact they were the only "for sure" that we had decided on together. Katie has an excellent eye for color and schemes and understands the layout of a room. She was always ready to field any questions I had with a smile and she continuously amazed with her talent and grace. She listened so well, I felt as though I was talking to a friend and we managed to turn our planning into a relaxing chat. David the head chef for Haute on the Hill was fantastic, I have never been given a list of food that was extensive as the list David and Katie gave to us. They listened to our story, all the way from where we grew up to where we met and how we ended up in the Washington DC area. Our wedding day was so beautiful, better than I could have ever imagined, the colors were exactly what I had asked for and Katie, although she might have been stressed, had time to stop by and see how I was doing. The buffet was a masterpiece of our history, each item placed on the menu had something to do with either my husband or myself. Our guests are still talking about our buffet and how beautiful it all was, their favorite part... the mini rootbeer floats and orange creamsicles. However, whenever I ask a guest if they liked the food they start with yes it was great then go into great detail on how fantastic each dish was. I guess you could say David and Katie made our day one that EVERYONE remembered.
