Groove Authority helped create an unbelievable wedding memory of us all! Their sound was fabulous, song selection was a perfect blend of all styles of music- and our dance floor was packed from the very first song until the end of the extra set! Everyone loved their music! They had the crowd up and dancing all night. Also, I found them wonderful to work with in the planning stages, and felt they were invested in making our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be.

Paul and Groove Authority were a great addition to our reception. They kept the party going all night long. Paul was very accessible and was clearly interested in helping us have the kind of reception we wanted. They accommodated our wish to incorporate some Arabic music by playing our ipod through their PA for our entrance and during the band's breaks. Also, they are really professionals in every sense of the word. They were there on time and were on top of the requests we had made ahead of time. They were on top of things musically, too (I'm not a pro, but I've been playing drums and bass for more than 20 years). Paul also served as the emcee and did a great job of keeping things moving. At first we were unsure about spending the extra money for a live band, but after the party there was no doubt it was worth it. Our guests had nothing about raves about the band. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

Paul was great to work with and responded to all of my questions. Service was terrific. The band was awesome at the reception. The guests loved the music and stated it was the best band they have ever heard at a wedding. I would highly recommend them for any bride wanting to have fun at the reception.

Groove Authority definitely made our wedding-- we got SO MANY compliments on how great they were. They are so energetic, the quality of the music is so good, and their repertoire is so varied-- they really appealed to both our younger and older guests. The dance floor was packed all night- people were having a blast. Paul and the rest of the group were so easy and nice to work with. We really couldn't have asked for better. We recommend Groove Authority 100%!

They are the best band in all of New England! My husband is a musician and a music teacher so our band selection was of upmost importance to him. We couldn't have been happier with Groove Authority. They were awesome! They kept our guests on the dance floor until midnight! They have a charisma and insanely electrifying energy that keeps people on the floor. Plus, they are just brilliant musicians. It was so nice to have both male and female singers so we could hear all our favorite tunes sung by the correct vocal part. Plus, we met with quite a few bands and Groove Authority's bandleader seemed the most professional and helpful. He was great to work with prior to the wedding. We exchanged emails and had a phone meeting to discuss how we wanted our night to progress. He was completely attentive to our requests in terms of the order of the formal moments (e.g. first dance, mother/son, father/daughter dances, etc). They gave us a wedding night that was unforgettable and all our guests are still talking about this wonderful band! I would hire them again in a second!

Groove Authority played our wedding in Boston in July of 2011. They occasionally play as a 4 person group at Tommy Doyles in Cambridge, and I happened to catch them one night and get a business card. The four-person group was playing mostly rock music (which was appropriate for the crowd/setting), but everyone in the bar was on the dance floor! I had so much fun that night I was inspired to ask for their business card. Paul told me that when they play weddings they use a 7-person setup with saxophone, two singers, etc., which sounded good to me. GA's website was great, and had an extensive list of songs they play.  The female singer has an amazing voice, and it looked they had a good energy.  We booked them right away, and it was probably the best vendor decision we made for the whole wedding! They were reasonably flexible on price and totally worth what we paid. Their MC-ing was excellent and they were accommodating to us in letting my sister sing a song (with mp3 accompaniment) between the first dance and the first course. GA had the crowd CONSTANTLY on the dance floor. The pacing of the songs was great, slowing it down when they needed to (during the meal) and picking it up again at the moment people started finishing each course. By the end of the night the whole place was rocking, and everyone was having an amazing time. Just when you thought things couldn't get higher energy with some crowd favorite like "Livin' on a Prayer" (yes the lead male vocalist has that range), they would immediately follow it up with another huge hit (in this case "Love Shack") that would maintain the intensity. I had at LEAST ten people come up to me to tell me that the band was awesome, and those admissions feel really good on the big day when your decision-making is on trial. Do yourself a favor and book this band. This is one testimonial among many, but since they are all favorable, just know that you'll doubtless be very happy with your decision on the big day. I think the tone of a wedding is set by two things: the food and the band, but you can have middle of the road food and still have a good wedding if people are having a great time dancing. The quality of the wedding band is paramount, and this Groove Authority is the highest quality.

Groove Authority is one of the best choices we made, when planning our wedding. They had everyone up and dancing the entire night. Prior to even eating dinner, people were on the dance floor. The music choice, I feel can really make or break your entire night, and they certainly made ours! Their enthusiasm, and amazing talent made for an excellent time. Paul was great to work with, and went out of his way, to make sure that all was exactly how we had planned it to be. They learned all of our songs prior to the wedding, and were exactly what we had hoped for in a wedding band. I would recommend them to everyone i know, and really hope that some of our friends use them in the future for their weddings!

We were thrilled that Groove Authority was part of our wedding celebration! They were recommended to us from a coworker and couldn't have been happier with our decision! They were amazing and all of our guests raved about how much fun they had and what an awesome band they were! The dance floor was packed the entire night and it was great that they play a large variety of current day songs as well as classic rock and slow songs. They were willing to learn songs that we requested and Paul was very easy to work with. He was able to provide suggestions about the timing of reception and made sure to follow up a few times leading up to the wedding. All the members are talented musicians that seem to really enjoy performing!

From the moment we started planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted to hire a band to entertain our guests. After receiving a rave review on Groove Authority from my sister, I viewed their website and could tell that they would be perfect! Their mix of classics and current pop hits provided the exact tone for our guests who all danced the night away! Paul was fantastic to work with and extremely accommodating! They learned our first dance song for us and truly made our reception the celebration we dreamt it to be. Thank you Groove Authority for making our wedding a party to remember!

Groove Authority is a TERRIFIC band at a very good value. Our reception was at the Four Seasons Boston, and my wedding planner was trying to push 2 other bands that cost way more than Groove. We did a lot of research into cost/quality and were THRILLED with our choice. They are incredibly talented, learn songs for you, respond well to your crowd, and are easy to work with. They also look good on stage. People danced like crazy at our wedding, to the point that they screamed for an encore. How often does a wedding band get asked to do an encore? Bands can make or break a wedding reception, and I give my highest recommendation to Groove Authority. USE THEM, you'll be really happy!

Groove Authority made my wedding day memorable for my husband and I PLUS our guests. We've been married for 1 year and people STILL talk about how great our band was. Leading up to the wedding, Paul was super-responsive to my emails - he even helped me plan the timing for the night. They were very flexible and sweet when my father-in-law asked them to play an impromptu song with him on his trumpet. Classy and talented musicians with a TON of depth - you're lucky if you can snag them for your special night.

Our single best splurge when planning our September 2010 wedding was definitely hiring this band. They had EVERYONE dancing all night… kids, grandparents, and everyone in between. We hired their keyboard and sax players for the cocktail hour, and had the full 7 piece band for the reception. They are incredibly talented and play the widest range of music I’ve ever heard from any band. Every song sounded the same or better than the original artist, and without any direction from us they knew exactly what to play at each point in the evening. I can’t even count how many people have told me that our band was by far the best they’ve heard. In fact, we're looking forward to hearing them play at two couple's weddings this year! The couples attended our wedding and were so impressed they had to book them.

The best wedding band around! Very reasonably priced. Super responsive and fun! More than one person told us that this was absolutely the best wedding band they had ever seen. Even our the wedding coordinator at our venue said they were one of the best she had ever seen! LOVE THESE GUYS and GIRL! This band made our wedding a PARTY!

Groove Authority kept every guest at our wedding on the dance floor all night long! Paul was very easy to communicate and responsive to our requests. Having both a male and female vocalist made all the difference and the musicians were so talented and rolled with the punches, even when a wedding guest sort of attacked the keyboardist during a rousing rendition of "Shout!" This band is the best!
