Kathy was very helpful with this being my first daughter to be getting married. She covered a lot of the small details that I would have never though of.

Kathie was our weekend coordinator and did all of our floral. I couldn't have asked for better. Kathie went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was just as we had imagined - meeting with vendors, providing ideas, setting up additional rentals. She was always quick to answer emails and was super easy to work with. Our wedding day was stress-free and beautiful and we have Kathie to thank!

Kathie was simply amazing! She was actually the first vendor that we booked and helped us out along the way for a year and a half.

She attended a handful of vendor meetings with us, and reviewed each and every contract to act as another set of eyes on the fine print. She also did our flowers which turned out so beautiful! I’m not big on flowers, so that is really saying something.

She built upon our vision for a blue and green travel themed wedding day and made sure everything was set up just as we wanted. She has one assistant, but we ended up hiring a second (through her) because of the extent of my DIY projects. She was the one to speak up when the venue wanted a weather decision made at our rehearsal the day before the wedding (we lucked out and the weather held out for our outside ceremony). She contacted all of our vendors leading up to the wedding to confirm times and was the one I trusted with the tip envelopes for certain vendors the night of the wedding.

She was an all star and I don’t think our wedding would have turned out as wonderful as it did without her!

Kathie is truly a gifted event planner - she absolutely loves what she does! She answered every phone call, text and email promptly and her incredible attention to detail for all of our endless requests was awesome, all while traveling all over Dallas, Plano and Frisco to meeting after meeting! We are so thankful for the fairy tale wedding that she made happen for Patrice and Derek and for her heartfelt kindness - - she was fantastic with keeping everyone and everything in line and on schedule which was no easy task with all the vendors and personalities! Most of all, she gave us such peace of mind that everything was ALWAYS under control, even when the Dallas ice/snow storms shut everything down for 5 days 2 weeks prior to wedding bells ringing! She is a very special lady that is now a dear friend that will never be forgotten!

Kathie did an amazing job with our wedding. She did so much more than was originally discussed. She is definitely worth the value. She was always reponsive. She truly became my friend and sounding board through out the process. I love her and am so so happy with everything she did! AMAZING wedding planner...best decision we made was picking her.

Kathie of Grand Events was an AMAZING wedding planner. I met and spoke with Kathie in December of 2009. After our first meeting I felt as though we had an immediate connection. I was not the typical bride who had dreamed about her day since she was a little girl. However, the ideas I did have were brought to life through Kathie and her creativity. I was lost on where to start, who to request information from, etc. After the first meeting, Kathie comforted me and gave me a time-line of events that needed to be accomplished and a list of recommended vendors to start calling.

Through the 7.5 months of planning, Kathie was with me every step of the way. She would attend meetings with me, discuss cost effective ways of creating a vision, and would allow me to bounce ideas off of her that my fiancé didn’t have an opinion about. :) Never the less, Kathie was not just my wedding planner, she became a very close friend. My family lives over 250 miles away so there were many appointments and decisions that I had to make without my mom. Kathie always led me in the right direction and comforted any nerves I might have had during the planning process.

As for the day of the wedding, smooth sailing! I was able to enjoy my day with my parents and family. Many times, parents are running around trying to tie up loose ends and miss their daughter’s wedding. Kathie took care of everything! For this and all that is listed, Kathie is an angel that I would recommend to every bride getting married!

Every meeting that we had with her was so useful and helped us feel comfortable that we were moving forward and meeting deadlines. Right before the wedding, she coordinated with the hotel, officiant, designer/florist, and dj to ensure everyone was on the same page. We had a very limited budget, and she worked with us to help us find the best vendors in the area within our price range. She is incredibly resourceful and very knowledgeable.

I just got married 3 weeks ago and Kathie is my wedding planner. I am really pleased with her service and our wedding can not be this perfect without her. She walked through the whole planning with me from the beginning and gave me lots of useful advice. On the wedding day, she took care of almost everything so we can relax and enjoy our own wedding. Overall, I am very satisfied and will highly recommend her.

Even if you don't think you will need a wedding coordinator...trust me you do. Not only did Kathie lead me in the right direction to obtain cost effective (high quality at low prices) vendors, she also took alot of the worry off my shoulders. Although I micro-managed the entire process, by the day before the wedding, everything was out of my hands and into hers. I could sit back & relax, and actually enjoy my own wedding weekend. Worth much more than we paid her for her services. My wedding was over the top, but very cost effective.
And I managed to get through without stress or worry. That was the biggest service that she offered.
Very professional, very compassionate. I did not think that a coordinator could do better than I could, and I was mistaken. I don't know what I would have done without Grand Events.

Hiring a wedding planner was the best dicision I made during the planning process. Kathie was wonderful and very helpful. The entire process was so smooth from start to finish. She covered details my mother, and I would have never thought of. She had lots of advice and ideas. She designed the programs, and favors as well as gathered the materials for us to put them together. She watched our budget and helped us stretch it to get the most for our money. Everything was done in a timely manner. When it came time for the wedding she worked tirelessly to make sure everything was perfect. The ceremony and reception were perfect, and there were no major issues. My mother and I were free to enjoy ourselves, and we did not have to worry about things being taken care of Kathie did it all! Everyone should have a wedding planner it makes the process so enjoyable. I reccomend Kathie Seeley at Grand Events she was the best, and she is worth every penny!

Hiring Kathie was the best decision I made throughout the whole wedding planning process. She knew exactly what I wanted and always had awesome ideas. She worked really hard and took care of everything for me. I did not have to worry about a thing. She is a blast to work with!

I was amazed by how much Kathie was able to pull off. First of all, I had a limited budget. By the time we hired her, I had already made a few decisions about location, so we were sort of locked in on that. She managed to create the wedding of my dreams with all of her imaginative details and hard work. She made my mom's life easier, too, which allowed her to enjoy the wedding without making sure there were enough chicken satays out for the buffet.

Kathie did a great job and provided excellent service and wonderful ideas that helped make my wedding one-of-a-kind! I knew I would need a wedding planner to help two Type A's planning the wedding - myself and my mom - and she stepped in when we needed her most. I would have never been able to make it through the day if she wasn't there to mind the small details so I wouldn't have to, and I thank her so much for that! I would have gone crazy, but instead I got to enjoy the day like I had hoped. She also came up with wonderful, creative and original ideas for our programs and table and name cards that satisfied my goal of making the day/night completely original and make it "ours."
