My husband and I could not have been happier with our experience with Goes Photography. Derek was responsive, easygoing, considerate, and overall exceptionally easy to work with. I was undecided whether to hire a photographer at all, but Derek worked with my limited budget and my concerns that a photographer could intrude on the personal moments. He was just the opposite--he took amazing photos and managed to capture all the right moments without ever intruding. He listened to our requests and needs before the wedding and made sure to really follow through. A month before the wedding, I asked him not to set up too close to the ceremony action, then I forgot to mention it when we spoke closer to the event. But he needed no reminding--he brought a big zoom lens and shot the ceremony from afar, but got great photos. He also took excellent portraits and family shots, and helped cajole our reluctant family into taking portraits that we now all are so glad we posed for! I was hoping for one or two shots that I loved, and instead I got more beautiful favorites than I know what to do with. He was also a joy to have involved in the process, he worked very well with our DJ and chef, in spite of our disorganization on the day of, he was a huge help in making sure everything went smoothly and we kept to our schedule. Before he left for the evening, he made sure to check with us whether we wanted any other pictures that hadn't been taken already, and because he did that we have two sets of perfect photos (me with my best friend, my husband with his college crew) that we never would have thought to take. He stayed late and arrived early and was kind and friendly and fantastic.

Derek was a true professional. He drove an hour or more to our wedding location just to meet with us, before we had agreed to hire him or sign a contract, and took note of the location, the lighting, and the various places we'd want photographed. I was very impressed with the amount of time and thought he put into our event.

Overall Goes Photography was wonderful. From the begining to the end Derek really took the time to understand what we wanted out of our wedding photos. I personally love editorial style photographs. Derek captured our wedding moments with the beauty of a magazine spread. They are truly breathtaking and more than I could have ever asked for. To top it all off, Derek is a great person who makes it all so easy!

Derek is easy and fun to work with. He is very professional in what he's doing. We like him. He knows when to take a good candid moment. However, it will be best if we could provide our wedding details as much as possible before the wedding. I forgot to mention certain moment that I wanted him to take a picture of. Thank you Derek. Derek was great, accessible, responsive and just what we were looking for. We wanted a more photo-journalistic approach (more candid photos, not posed) and that is exactly what we got. He was very professional and courteous and overall captured our special day like we hoped. In shopping around, although expensive, he was good value for money compared to some other photographers I interviewed...especially given the quality of his work. We would highly recommend Derek.

Derek is very easy to work with and professional. Prices are not cheap, but there are many package options and we got our photos after the wedding very quickly.
