We are glad that Jonnie couldn’t imagine having her wedding anywhere else! She is right, our venue is gorgeous and its age creates a very unique beauty.

We apologize for any inconvenience that she suffered due to the changing of the management and that she felt it was difficult to contact anyone. Unfortunately, the previous owner did not leave any information for us other than her home address, so our initial contact to her was via the U.S. mail. I am sure that was unnerving when you are already stressed about the most important day of your life.

Unfortunately, there were many things that were promised to her under the previous management that were not included in our contract. However, instead of cancelling her contract, we chose to honor it, even though there was a significant difference in both price and accommodations (which is why we needed more clarification on certain details at times).

Concerning our wedding planner, many people are bi-vocational and have excellent job performance and we feel our wedding planner is one of the best.

It is our goal that our service be impeccable, and we are willing to go above and beyond to make sure each bride, groom, and their guests are treated to a day they will always cherish and remember.

I'll have to say I was disappointed in the new management. We booked our wedding here in August of 2010. In January 2011, the management changed and it was almost impossible to contact anyone until about a month before the wedding. Everything we had contracted was no longer available, so it was almost all they could do to honor our contract. There are way too many people tryign to be in charge and each time we asked a question there was no readily available answer. They had to "check on it" every single time. That is not refreshing when you are stressed about your wedding. Amanda was our wedding coordinator and you can definitely tell she doesn't do it as a full time job. She is normally a teacher, and she is not a professional wedding planner, this was very trying because she had no idea what things were like: menu cards, how to put on a cake topper, etc. However, I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else, and it was very beautiful. The venue itself is gorgeous, and it's age creates a very unique beauty.

What a wonderful wedding and reception experience we had with my daughters' wedding. Everything was perfect. From the beautiful setting of that old historic church, the wonderful food and decorations of the reception, down to the thoughfully placed ice water in the brides ready room, it was a wonderful experience. I knew nothing about planning a wedding. They took care of everything. Everyone who attended went on and on about the wedding. Even my husbands friends (men) were still talking about our daughters wedding weeks afterward. One of the most talked about events was after the wedding and everyone was in the reception hall. Our daughter and son-in-law were announced as they appeared at the top of the steps above the reception and descended down the stairs. After the reception, as they walked together down the stairs outside the church, the church bell tolled. It was an amazing experience. We would recommend the Gatherings to any bride wanting to have a fairy tale wedding experience.
