We had James McNally DJ our wedding reception on May 4, 2013 at the Regatta Room in Eliot, ME. Right from the first phone call made to him, James was always prompt, professional, easy going, and flexible with all requests made. James took his time to sit with us before the wedding and layout all the details of how the night went, which was extremely helpful in making sure other vendors (photographer, photo booth, cake) were right on schedule with the layout. James introduced the bridal party with a loud and enthusiastic voice and ensured that the whole night went smoothly. James checked in with us several times to ensure that not only did we stay on track, but to see if there were any last minute requests or changes needed. When it was time to dance, the dance floor stayed packed for the entire night which is exactly what we wanted. We didn't want the night to end! Thank you James for helping us make our wedding day an absolute blast!

Dj Fred was great! He had our guests dancing the night away on our December 1st wedding. He is easy to work with, attentive and professional. He provided dance floor lighting and uplights for our event as well. He also offered great off-season rates.

Fred was excellent - and he made my wedding awesome! I actually had planned an 80's casino ballroom wedding. I made a list of all the 80's songs I liked to hear and then Fred came up with others also. He was very responsive to planning the list. His equipment was awesome and he let us use the microphone and amp system for the ceremony so we did not have to bring in other equipment. He had a great time playing everything we asked and I would highly recommend him.

We used DJ Fred for our October 27th wedding at the Union Bluff Meeting House. Booking the DJ was probably the vendor that we both stressed out about the most when planning our wedding. The DJ can make or break a wedding, especially when you hope to have a fun, dance-the-night-away type of wedding. I was hesitant to book DJ Fred because he is on the preferred vendor list for the Meeting House. Call me crazy, but while planning the wedding I was hesitant to use any vendors off of the preferred vendor list because you never know what prearranged deal the venue and vendor have with one another. So, we searched and searched, 56 cheesy websites later, a couple lame phone interviews and 45 unanswered emails to other DJ companies I decided to give DJ Fred a call. After one short phone call I knew he was our guy. He has been in the industry for years and that showed while working with us. He was professional, friendly, reasonably priced and kept the everyone at the wedding reception dancing. He played a wide variety of music, (we told him to play what he wanted, just judge the crowd) and he kept everyone off their feet. Side note, he also did our uplighting which came out amazing. Would I recommend DJ Fred to someones else? YES, YES, YES!!! Thank you DJ Fred.

My husband and I were married at the York Harbor Inn on Sept. 22, 2012. The Inn, which I also highly recommend, gave me information on Fred. Upon first contact Fred was warm and flexible. He was so relaxed and was willing to do pretty much whatever made us happy. On our wedding day, we saw his level of expertise and professionalism in action! We had the perfect day and Fred was a huge part.

My wife and I hired James McNally for our Sept 15, 2012 wedding reception at the Maine Maritime Museum. I called three of his references and they prepared me for what I was about to find out.... he was outstanding! Very professional, very cool. He obviously loves what he does. He was singing and dancing along to every song he played! He was fantastic at introducing the wedding party and keeping the party going. He met with us a month before the big day and the three of us came up with a game plan, which James stuck to perfectly. He is a great guy and the perfect DJ for any occasion.

We had James McNally at our wedding in Kennebunkport. He was wonderful and the reception went smoothly (sequence of events, announcements and most importantly, music!). We had a lot of foreign names at our wedding and he did a wonderful job learning how to pronounce their names!:) So if you want a smooth reception, we highly recommend him!

We hired DJ James McNally for our September wedding in North Conway, NH and he was perfect! I really appreciated the wedding questionnaire he sent, there were things I never would have thought of there-like what type of dances to include or exclude. James was extremely helpful during the planning phase and at the reception. Everyone got a kick out of him joining in our last dance-a fast, fun one! And even after the wedding he sent a cd of all the songs he played so we can keep on dancing! We highly recommend James!

We had Clark Sillery from Fred Pappalardo Disc Jockey & we were so happy! With just 4 months to plan our big day, we lucked out that Clark had a cancelation. He was very professional & flexibly thoughout the whole process. Clark let my husband & I shine as the stars of the night without overshadowing us as an entertainer. The dance floor was full the whole time & everyone loved it!

DJ Fred was offered as part of the package from our wedding venue. I did a lot a research to decide whether to go with him or not, and all the reviews that I read were right - he's the best! We worked with Fred for both our ceremony and our reception; he was extremely patient and helpful in choosing the music for the ceremony and we left the reception up to him. EVERYBODY danced ALL night, and couldn't stop talking about what a great job he did. I'd highly recommend him to anyone planning an event in the area.

DJ Fred was fantastic! He contacted us prior to our wedding date so we could fill out a quessionaire and ask him any questions we had. He made a ton of accomodations for us last minute, and everyone enjoyed the music!!!

James McNally was the DJ for our wedding and we cannot say enough about how amazing he was throughout the entire process. He was incredibly accommodating as we selected our music and planned out the day, while also providing many useful tips and music ideas when we were unsure of certain aspects of the event. He was professional, thoughtful and wonderfully entertaining from the start of the wedding right up until the last song was played. We loved his flexibility and engaging nature, and were equally impressed by his killer dance moves and that he seemed to know the words to EVERY single song:) Wow!! James McNally was the DJ for our wedding at the York Golf and Tennis Club this past June. His services were tremendously professional, and he made sure our wedding reception was a blast! He brought a lot of energy and played great music all night. About a month before the wedding, my wife and I were able to meet with James to go over the entire ceremony and reception. This was a tremendous help. It got us a chance to get to know James a little bit, as well as let him know what kind of things we were looking for. My husband and I LOVE DJ Fred!! He came highly recommended from our wedding venue's list of preferred vendors and now we too can attest to his amazing service as a DJ. We'd contracted with him long before our wedding and that process was very simple. We deposited a portion at the time on contract and paid the rest a few weeks before the wedding. We met with him a few weeks before the wedding at his home in York, and he was so pleasant and fun to talk to. And he also is very experienced with weddings and understands the flow of receptions, no matter the venue or amount of people. He is also familiar with many venues in his area and knew the ins and outs of our venue (Union Bluff & Meeting House) better than us - that was comforting to know going into it. He was accommodating with all of our requests for ceremony music and reception songs, and gave us some advice as to how to choose what to play and what not to play. The sound quality during our ceremony sounded great, and I would say that the reception music and mood throughout could not have been better. Fred played a great mix of our requests, other requests and all-around great dance music. Oldies but goodies, as well as contemporary pop hits. My aunt had also given him a detailed list of songs my family wanted to request and he even checked in with me to make sure they were okay with us. And he also moved things along perfectly with our toasts, our first dance and my dance with my dad. (Oh - one piece of advice...if you have a choreographed first dance, make sure you tell Fred when to start your song. We forgot to tell him to wait for our cue, and he started our song before we got out to the floor...and we had to cut it and start over. Wasn't an issue...we just totally forgot to mention it!) He also offers really cool lighting options and a monogram option. We opted for blue uplighting that looked amazing with our blue colors. And other dance floor lights and discoball effects are already included. Fred is an amazing DJ to do business with and he'll be sure to make your reception fun and entertaining!
