Fox Chase Manor was a beautiful venue. I'm happy we went with them but be prepared to have to bring in EVERYTHING else to make your wedding nice. They only provide the buidling and the tables and chairs. There are a limited number of tables you get built into the price and they don't even have a refridgerator on the premises! They are also very strict on times when you can and cannot be there. If you're wiling to put in a lot of work on your own, it's a nice place.

Foxchase Manor is a huge venue with seperate areas for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Chairs and tables included but everything else no. Ice is not available on site so you will have to pay your caterer for ice, trash pick up is extra $100, other than that the venue is wonderful. The space allowed for my guest to feel comfortable and move around the reception without feeling cramped. It is pricey but it gave me and husband the feel we wanted.

The venue is beautiful which we liked because we didn't want to do additional decorations around the room. As others have said the biggest draw back is that nothing comes with the rooms except tables and chairs. Even the sound system for the ceremony/reception the DJ had to bring everything including the mic and stand for the ceremony. You don't get any risers or extra tables for entry way, outdoors etc. You also don't have a full kitchen so you have to have a caterer who is familiar with the location and all of their strict rules. Luckily we had a great caterer who handled everything beautifully (Better Events in Chantilly).

When searching for a reception site we needed a space to accomadate a large group of people. As soon as we saw Foxchase Manor, we knew it would be perfect! We can not say enough about the Foxchase staff. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of before, and on our day. We loved the flexability of the venue, as we truly wanted to create a unique and personalized event. We highly recommend Foxchase Manor to brides looking for a reception venue that can set their wedding apart from the rest.

We thought that Fox Chase Manor was a beautiful place to have a wedding reception at. Having it there definately made our day even more special. The only thing that was hard about having it there was that you were only given a two hour window to set up things the way you wanted it the day of the reception.

Foxchase offers alot of flexiblity to how you want your wedding reception to look. However, this place is very expensive and they only offer tables, chairs and possibly a riser if you rent theirs. The closer it got to my wedding their office hours changed, I think they were going through some staff changes. They usually were available from 9-5 but all of a sudden they were only available from 11-1 at Foxchase then 2-4 at Rose Manor. This almost caused a problem with my vendors when it came to setting up for the reception but luckly my vendors were very flexible with Foxchase new schedule.

Foxchase Manor was great for the large reception we planned (500 people). Their facilities are beautiful - elegant in a classic, Victorian way. Their service representatives answered all of our questions, were flexible when we asked to tour the venue, and were helpful in suggesting set-up ideas, etc. The best thing about Foxchase was their flexibility in terms of allowing us to have our own caterer for the event and decorate without too many restrictions. The only negative about our experience with Foxchase was the appearance of the landscaping outside - much of the shrubbery was dull or dead, giving the venue a somewhat shabby appearance from the outside. Overall, a good place to go for a large wedding where you want your own caterer.

Foxchase Manor is a fantastic venue for a wedding that will have at least 150 guests or more.

I wanted to stay away from churches, hotels and "wedding halls" and wanted to find something unique and especially ours, but I came to realize that the DC area does not really offer anything like that because pretty much anything and everything can be (and is) used for a wedding. Foxchase Manor falls into the category of wedding hall, but I really liked it because it's easy to find, It's relatively new compared to most venues in the area, it's clean and expansive and the people who work there are great. Not to mention, it has a great patio for outdoor weddings (like mine) but also has space indoors for a backup plan in case of inclement weather (which I was relying on, just in case).

I would give this venue all 5 stars, but I have to say that it's pretty expensive. Foxchase Manor only offers the venue itself and the bathrooms, basically. Brides are required to rent everything down the tables and chairs.

If you can squeeze this place into your budget, I say go for it, because I know I loved it and so did all of our guests!

Foxchase manor as a venue was great. However they only provide the room and a tables. Everything else has to be brought in from an outside provider. Little $$$.

Foxchase Manor is a very beautiful venue and allows both indoor and outdoor activities. We enjoyed hosting our wedding ceremony and reception there. One thing to note about this location is train schedule as there was a train horn that sounded before the ceremony began, lucky us! Also nothing is included in the price and if we had to do it over again we would have chosen a cheaper venue or the same price but closer to Northern Virginia. The staff was very professional and worked with us on a payment plan which was nice. There was a brides room that came in very handy. All in all it's a good place but personally we thought it was a little overpriced for what you get.
