We ordered our wedding cake from Forget Me Knot Cakes. Our experience with Sally Ann, the owner, was easy and stress free. Sally Ann was professional and always responded to us and our needs. The wedding cake turned out better than we imagined. Sally Ann took the ideas we gave her verbally about our wedding design, our flowers, the wedding dress and the colors. From those ideas she created a magnificent center piece for the wedding. The details on the cake were done beautifully. She had great placement of the calla lily sugar flowers, sugar crystal beading and draping of the fondant. Even more, the cake tasted excellent. Sally Ann takes great care to use the best quality of ingredients which are reflected in the cake.

We would absolutely recommend Forget Me Knot Cakes to anyone for any special occasion. The only thing that was difficult was choosing from the many cakes and flavors that Sally Ann has to offer.

Sally Ann was amazing! We had a problem with our original cake maker, so when we found Sally Ann, she was a dream come true. We don't live in the same area as where we got married, but Sally Ann was very willing to work with us. I sent her an e-mail with a general idea of what we wanted our cake to look like and within a day she had sent me a color sketch that was EXACTLY how we had pictured our cake. The cake itself tasted amazing too. She has so many great flavors to choose from. The final product was perfect and our guests loved it too!

Sally Ann is simply amazing. She created a wedding cake and a groom's cake for us, and both were stunning and delicious. Sally Ann worked with us via email (we live out of state) to design both of our cakes. She brought our vision to life on paper, was receptive to the changes we suggested, and even tried out new techniques (beautiful chocolate branches) to make our vision come to life. And, to make it even better, the finished products were even more stunning than the sketches. Sally Ann's sugar craft is breathtaking!!! We couldn't have been happier with how both of our cakes turned out.
We booked Sally Ann based on her design sketches and her kindness (evident even through her emails), and we put our faith in her that our cakes would be delicious. And they were. We had three different flavors: Almond Bakewell, Really Raspberry, and Chocolate Truffle. All were delicious, but the Almond Bakewell was our favorite--sophisticated and divine, the ultimate comfort food. Sally Ann was kind enough to give us a tasting once we arrived in state (just days before our wedding), and she even sent us home with delicious cupcakes!
We recommend Sally Ann wholeheartedly. We couldn't have been happier with Forget-Me-Not Cakes, and we will certainly be ordering anniversary cakes from her in the future.

I have nothing but good things to say about Sally Ann of Forget-Me-Not cakes. A complete delight to work with, Sally Ann is personable and gifted at her craft. Our cake was not only beautiful, it tasted excellent (meyer-lemon with buttercream frosting)! All of our guests commented on how it was the best wedding cake they've ever tasted, and everyone thought the sugar-paste flowers (gerber daisies) were real. We had the absolutely most beautiful looking and tasting cake. We went in and tasted some amazing flavors and decided on coconut, pistachio, and fresh strawberries. Our guests could not stop complimenting how amazon our cake was. Everyone was concerned with saving the top layer for us, but we didn't have to as on our one year anniversary we will get a fresh top layer instead of a year old frozen one. Sally Ann helped make our dream wedding come true!

Sally was absolutely fabulous to work with. Not only is her cake delicious, but she took extra time to understand what we wanted and experimented, sending photos of different cake finishes until she got it just right. That level of dedication is completely refreshing for a vendor who is also so reasonably priced. In addition to a wonderful cake, Sally was also very prepared and made it easy for us by providing an extra copy of the contract, a clear and concise invoice, a handy payment reminder and a self-addressed envelope for payment. To have everything laid out so well was greatly appreciated at a time when there are more than enough details to worry about!

A close friend who is an event planner had recommended Sally with nothing but the best to say. We had the exact same experience. Sally is really flexible and worked with us to make our cake special and match our wedding "theme".

Sally from Forget-Me-Not definitely knows what she is doing. From the tasting experience to the delivery and set up she is an all around professional. For our tasting we requested that my maid of honor and her fiance join us. When we all arrived we found that Sally had set up a table for four to look like a tea party. We each had plates with little slices of delicious cake. She made 8 different types of cake for us to try! They were light, moist, and full of taste. My favorite was a vanilla cake with a layer of lemon curd and layer of raspberry. my fiance loved the pistacchio. Her skill at decorating was also demonstrated in the pictures and books of her work that she showed us. Our venue was about a 2+ hour drive away and she agreed to deliver for a very reasonable fee. She also provided a cake cutting diagram for the venue to follow to make sure that everyone got a piece.

Working with Sally Ann was very easy. She sketched out a few options and mailed and emailed them to us. We were able to make some small changes over the phone, and she was very accommodating when we had questions or wanted to change flavors (and then change them back) at the last minute. In addition to some hand crafted 2D sunflowers, we opted for real flowers to decorate the cake. I was a bit disappointed that there were mostly sunflowers when the bouquets had half a dozen bold colors to choose from. However, I think this could have been due to a lack of clarification from me. It was excellent work, if a bit monochromatic. The most important thing was that our cakes were delicious.

Sally Ann is fantastic. We went for a tasting consultation in Petaluma, which was far from home, but worth it, we thought, according to others' reviews. Sally Ann was prompt and well prepared. We enjoyed tasting the various fillings and frostings and if there was a flavor that had not been prepared ahead of time, Sally Ann was most accommodating and prepared it in her kitchen in a couple of minutes. We felt that she provided us with great service. Sally Ann was prompt and extremely professional. She was able to envision our cake design and sent us a PDF attachment with a drawing of what our cake would look like, using all of the right colors and designs. The cake design was excellent! The cake taste was a slightly over-sweet, but we went with two types of filling. So maybe that explains it. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Sally Ann is an excellent vendor!!!
