Megan was in over her head from the very beginning. We were having an all outdoor wedding at our lake house at Table Rock. No church or hotel venue which have their own set of coordinators. She did not have any relationship with any vendors ie. caterers, rental companies, transportation, entertainment etc. So we plugged along doing internet searches and reading blog after blog for vendors. She did not attend one vendor meeting or site survey, and was clueless, but we had made very long detailed contracts with each vendor as to their responsibilities. Megan systematically undid all of the hard work we had put into the vendor relationships. She was hired to coordinate the wedding party and to move guests from point A to point B, and to tell vendors where to park, and provide additional help for the serving of alcohol and moving of items from the ceremony site into the reception. She did not meet the shuttles to tell guests where to go, she did not bring the pinned flowers to grandparents ect, she did not tell the ushers how to seat guests or to hand out programs, she did not alert the bride and father to their time to go, and on and on. She brought help with her that were supposed to have "bar" experience and I had to do it myself, they did not know how to take the foil from a wine bottle. The other extra help was dressed like moving men, not suitable to pour wine to guests. She had the caterer use all of our ice instead of letting them get out their own, and we ran out of ice in the middle of the cocktail party. She refilled the water urn with the garden hose. To top it all off, she left our family's fragile 200 year old bible sitting out next to the lake overnight. To make up for her early short comings, we hired a decor specialist, an event planner to organize the shuttle service and thankfully, we had a PR specialist and another event planner as guests who stepped up and guided and distracted guests as to not notice the short falls. Both thought that in their years of experience, Megan has no business trying to pass herself off as a wedding planner.

Do not sign any contract with anyone that does not have a physical address and at least 2 telephone numbers. I have tried to contact her to discuss the situation and she has avoided me. I am not surprised.

I usually can't rate vendors or products as high as this without having to lie a bit, but in Every Bride's Best Friend's case it is easy to rate her this highly. My wedding went perfectly because she was there and I was completely stress free. I was in a wedding two weeks later and you could tell the difference! I kept telling myself, "Thank God I had Megan!" So many things they were figuring out hours before Megan helped me take care of weeks or even months before my own wedding. Megan truly was one of the best investments of my life. She was always punctual, called you back immediatly, and took your wedding very seriously. There is nothing she cannot handle and you know if something goes wrong, then there is nothing in the world that couldn't have been done because if there was, she could have found a way to fix it. There isn't enough that can be said about how great she was to work with.

Megan was wonderful! She really made my day special. She connected me with wonderful vendors in the area and kept things organized. She was great!
