"We had the privilege of working alongside Kristal Joiner of Weddings by Kristal and the guys at Event Source Northwest this past summer. Love, fun, and excitement was everywhere at Sarly and Jamie’s wedding. Kristal and her team not only kept the party going, but also coordinated the day and made sure that everything ran smoothly. As a photographer, it is so great when we get to work with folks that help take care of the small details. It just makes our job so much easier and makes the bride and groom virtually stress free which allows us to capture even more beautiful moments in the day."
"I recently completed my first event with Event Source NW, and all I can say is WOW. The whole team was amazing to watch and interact with. They were professional at all times, but added so much incredible energy and really kept everyone engaged. They worked together so seamlessly, down to the smallest detail. Weather for DJ or MC services (or both!) I HIGHLY recommend Event Source NW. As a professional, I thoroughly enjoyed working with them, and as a bride they are my #1 choice for my wedding day. "

Let me start by saying that I am in no way a ?bridezilla.? I had the pleasure of working with several vendors that I have since written RAVES about.

After I had several friends rave about Event Source, my expectations were pretty high. But even from the very beginning, getting them to answer the phone, return a call, or respond to an email was nearly impossible. We should have known then to find someone else. My fiance' and I met with the group one time early on in our engagement and were still hopeful that things would turn out well. As the wedding got closer, we planned to meet again with the DJ and MC. Event Source works in teams of two which we thought was a great idea and added value that we didn't find elsewhere. My fiance' and I spent about an hour on a wild goose chase because they forgot to inform us that their office had moved. Once we got to the new address, we continued to walk up and down the sidewalk because there was no sign on the door.

The meeting went well. The DJ and MC seemed outgoing, friendly, and excited about the event. My fiance' and I gave them a list of music we wanted to hear, as well as a list of requests we had received from guests. They took good notes about our family. I also gave them a list of vendors and their phone numbers, just in case. They were planning to contact our officiant to see if she would want to use a lapel mic during the ceremony. The DJ also said that if we thought of additional music we wanted to hear, just to email him. Over the course of the next 2 weeks, I sent three emails to the DJ with no response. The fourth email I basically begged him to at least respond, letting me know he had received my email. I received no response.

The day of the wedding, approximately 20 minutes before the ceremony, the DJ told me that the MC would not be coming. I was obviously upset, but had no choice but to let it go. The DJ did an adequate job, but played little if any of the music we had asked to hear.

After our wedding, I spent two weeks trying to reach Troy (the President of the company) by phone and email to discuss the issues and the fact that we felt we needed a refund for part of the contract, as half of the team did not show up. After not being able to connect, I left a message asking to set up a meeting in person. I was told (via voicemail) it would be ?virtually impossible? to meet in person.

After several more days of playing phone tag, my husband was finally able to reach Troy. We settled on a 20% refund, which was very disappointing. We also were charged $50 for the mic that we were told our officiant ?refused? to use. If the DJ had contacted her prior to the ceremony as he said he would, he would have known she did not want to use it and we would have not been charged. All in all our wedding day was the most fabulous day of our lives thus far. Neither my husband nor myself would let something like this ruin the event.

I still cannot believe this company has such a great reputation in the area. Their communication is practically non-existent and they seem to care very little about their clients. I have three friends getting married in the next year, one of which has already booked Event Source. They are now seeing firsthand the issues with communication. I can only hope their experience is better than ours.
