Tom & I would like to send a quick note of appreciation for everything you’ve done for us. From the moment I first spoke with Cheryl & Rick Kerzner I had a really good feeling about working with Emily’s Catering Group for one of our most important events...our wedding. I remember looking at Tom with a sigh of relief stating “I think we may have found our caterer”. Fortunately, I was correct. Every correspondence was an absolute delight, but as they say, “proof is in the pudding”. During my first phone conversation I explained to Rick how picky I was with not only the quality of food, but the presentation. He listened patiently and then complimented me by saying he loves working with detail oriented people who want perfection because his goal is to create perfection. A couple days later we went for our tasting and were so impressed with his professionalism and DELICIOUS food. Everything was wonderful, but as we were sitting there having a conversation I mentioned liking a certain flavor sauce and within minutes he had his chef whip up the perfect blend...what service! We were having an intimate wedding with 60 people so food was extremely important to us. Our tasting went so well, we decided to hire Emily’s Catering for our rehearsal dinner on Friday night with about 40 guests, our wedding on Saturday and our Sunday brunch with the same number of guests. EVERYONE couldn’t stop raving about the food, the quality, presentation & professionalism of every staff member. We wanted perfection & we got so much more...your service is priceless & we couldn’t be more appreciative. We give Emily’s Catering 5 Stars and are so glad we’ve found our caterers for life, anytime we have an event we want YOU there! I think all our guests feel the same way & we are not easy to please. From the bottom of our hearts, we can not thank you enough for playing such an important role so beautifully for an amazing weekend that will be cherished in our hearts forever.

I can not say enough good things about Emily's Catering Group. We got married two months ago and people are STILL complimenting me on how good the food was. They were fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about Emily's Catering! From my first meeting with Rick through the wedding on October 7th, all of the communication was excellent. The event manager went above and beyond my expectations for helping to make our day run smoothly and making sure my husband and I were always comfortable. She did all of this without feeling intrusive one bit. The food was amazing from cocktail hour thru dinner. Would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a reliable, communicative, flexible, great-tasting off-site caterer!

Emily's did a WONDERFUL job catering our wedding on October 5, 2012. They were professional and very accommodating, and the food was absolutely fantastic! We were able to customize our menu, as well as our beer selection, which were the two most important things we looked for while searching for a caterer. My husband is a chef, so we knew our food needed to be top-notch. Emily's definitely did NOT disappoint!...our guests are still raving about the food a month later! They also allowed us to bring in a variety of microbrews, which they were able to acquire for us with no trouble! All in all, I can't find a single flaw in the service on the most important day of our lives! We will be recommending Emily's to all of our family and friends for every type of event they are planning!

Emily's was a dream to work with for my wedding. They worked some magic to somehow provide everything I wanted and stay within budget, even offering pointers for where I could save and where I could invest for the ultimate experience. I felt really strongly about not having boring "wedding food" at the reception, and Emily's really delivered, providing a bunch of fun stations with authentic BBQ (the ribs were amazing), a mashed potato bar, fresh grilled food and more.

On top of the fact that my guests loved the food, the management of the event was fantastic. The catering manager found us and brought us a heaping plate of food so that my husband and I were actually able to eat at the wedding and sample all the goods. So thoughtful. Really, I am so, so pleased I went with Emily's.

Best food ever! No, seriously. So much better than 99% of restaurants I've ever been to, and that includes some pretty expensive restaurants.

From the first contact, Rick & his team were on the ball. I had complete confidence in their ability to run our event, start to finish. They gave us an incredibly fair estimate with very creative ideas. Rick was excellent in giving us feedback on our timeline and the flow of the overall event. I never felt 'nickle-and-dimed'. I wanted an extra signature drink - no problem, they'd make it! I liked two station ideas - they combined them into one. As my husband and I were taking photos, the waitstaff insisted on bringing us all the appetizers first and even held a napkin under my chin so I didn't spill on my dress as I savored the lobster claw in drawn butter! Drinks were always in our hands, broken glasses were promptly picked up, discarded drinks and empty plates were promptly and unobtrusively removed. Just a class act!

Our guests were treated with 5-star service and dined on Michelin-star quality food. The professionalism, responsiveness, helpfulness, creativity, and friendliness of this whole team was incredible! I cannot imagine hiring anyone else to cater an event for me. They truly made our wedding a magical event for all of our guests!

Emily's Catering Group was the only caterer tasting that we did- the food was so amazing we booked them on the spot! Rick was flexible with our budget and creative with the menu. His staff was so great to work with and Cheryl was so accommodating and helpful when we had to change our wedding date last minute. Everyone raved about the food and the presentation!

Rick and his team were amazing! We pulled a wedding celebration together very quickly and Emily's Catering Group went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. I cannot tell you how amazing Emily's Catering Group is. From the very start Rick and his team made us feel like we were special. They painstakingly created the perfect menu AS WELL as a unique approach to the dinner service. Guests were completely taken aback by the quality and creativity of the food and service. Rick, owner and head chef, was amazing and paid attention to every detail. Even up to the last week Rick greeted all of our changes with a "no problem" and made all of our dreams come true! It was spectacular thanks to everyone who helped out at Emily's. Our guests are still raving about how good the food was and the quality of service.

I spent months trying to find a great caterer and was incredibly lucky to find Emily's Catering. They were responsive and worked with what I wanted! All my guests raved about the food and even the pickiest eaters talked about how great the food was. I could not recommend Emily's Catering strongly enough. Working with them was a great experience from the first time I spoke with them to after the wedding when they wanted to see how I thought everything went! If you decide to go with them you will not be disappointed.

Prior to my wedding I had had the pleasure of working with Rick and the wonderful team at Emily's in a professional setting. When it came time to plan my wedding, I knew they were my top choice.

From first contact, Rick and his team were responsive, amenable, friendly, fun and professional. We had an excellent tasting and found that much of what we had envisioned for our day could actually be tweaked and adjusted - per the team's excellent recommendations - to actually SAVE us money, which is nearly unheard of for a vendor. Our budget was a strict concern, and Rick and Cheryl worked with us tirelessly to get our bar and appetizer menu, and meal and desert finely tuned. The event was exquisite and all of our guests raved about the food, the bar, the service. Everyone also commented on how friendly and approachable all of the waitstaff were. They felt like part of the family helping out, rather than strangers providing a service, and that was something I never could have anticipated. I will always be grateful for that.

Another point to mention, I had opted not to hire a wedding coordinator for the day-of. And I'm glad I didn't, because Jana, Emily's Coordinator for the day, took care of everything - Set-Up to breakdown, she was on it. When our photos ran a bit over, she adjusted the evening's timeline on the spot to make sure we had enough time with our guests.

Oh, one final point - We got married at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven, CT. The Carousel House was our reception venue and it has no kitchen. Emily's had to bring everything they'd need to make the event happen. And they did it, like magic!! It went off without a hitch!!!

Rick and Cheryl at Emily's Catering Group were phenomenal....almost beyond what I could ever put into words. From the beginning I asked Rick to create a menu for my Mother's 60th Birthday party. His ideas blew me away! He is truly an artist in the kitchen. The man is a genius with food, presentation and style/service.

From the incredible salad (baby greens, candied chestnuts, smoked bacon, bleu cheese, fresh figs w/champagne vinaigrette dressing) which was served with mini cups (individiual) of wild mushroom soup.... to the barbeque beef brisket and chicken with cranberry salsa. OMG!! Pure Yummy!

Guests could NOT stop talking about how delicious the food was. AND the wait staff, perfect. They were extremely professional and kept telling me to stop helping. (since I design wedding flowers, I always feel like it's my job to unload and set up)!! So great. I would recommend Emily's to ANYONE! Every little detail was PERFECT! They made our "Autumn in New England" dinner party beyond incredible!

AND my last minute request the day of the event, for cornbread to be added. Cheryl said absolutely no problem. The cornbread was melt in your mouth fabulous. (Most guests insisted I ask for the recipe!)

When it comes to wedding food, most people give you chicken, steak or fish. Some people go out on a limb and do a buffet. But with Emily's they more or less turn your wedding into a fine dining experience with some of the most delicious food around served in some of the most creative ways. They are highly professional, down-to-earth, and go well well well above and beyond their job titles. I would not only recommend them for your wedding (or any event for that matter), but you'd be stupid not to.
