Dan was fantastic and the ceremony was perfect. With little input from us, he was able to craft a personal and meaningful ceremony.

As this was an elopement ceremony, we choose to let it be a "surprise." Ie. we did not see anything beforehand or have a rehearsal. Being a perfectionist, I was a slightly anxious that the ceremony would not resonate with us. I need not have worried. It was short, sweet, and hit all the right notes.

Embracing ceremony was exactly what we were wanting for our mountain get-away wedding. I was a very unorganized bride, and was running late on everything. We found Dan Jones just a couple months before the wedding, and he did such a wonderful job of giving us the perfect custom ceremony even with quickly approaching deadlines. He made the ceremony about us, and asked for information and stories about us as a couple that gave our ceremony the perfect personal touch. We bounced the script back and forth until it was perfect. The end result was a memorable ceremony that was lighthearted and fun, and traditional (as we wanted it) with the right touch of personalization and uniqueness. He put together a ceremony that touched on elements important to us based on the little information he gathered from us. Dan was so kind and attentive to our desires. He was respectful of our wishes for a civil ceremony and created a beautiful script that felt right for us as a couple. Dan made our wedding meaningful while keeping it stress-free.

Dan was our officiant for our wedding up in Salida. We are not religious people, but several of our close family are, so we wanted a professional and spiritual wedding, but we wanted to steer clear of any specific religion. Dan seemed to be able to pull this of without any effort at all. We knew we needed a good push start, and Dan was able to come up with lots of great ideas and did an excellent job of putting it all together in words and had a great flow to the ceremony. And he made sure we had lots of time to work with him in person and over email to get everything just right for us, not just a cookie cutter wedding. He made it ours.

The last thing I would like to say is that he was very helpful to walk us through what needed to be done. He kept us on track (babysteps at times) not only during the ceremony but all the days leading up to it as well. Overall we are very happy with choosing Dan as our Officiant.

Initially my husband and I were very hesitant to hire an officiant for our wedding. We had hoped that a family member would be able to officiate but when that didn't pan out we turned to the web in hopes of finding what we were looking for. Someone who could provide a casual, light hearted ceremony that still included all the right sentiments with no mention of God or required premarital counseling and church attendance. After much digging, I stumbled across Dan. We couldn't be more happy with our selection. He was prompt in his responses and very focused on planning a ceremony that actually suited us. He had no judgments nor did he pressure us to include beliefs that were not ours or give unsolicited marital advice. As far as a nondenominational officiant goes, he came across as very knowledgeable and accepting of many different spiritual paths but with no pressure to include any religion at all. He was also very helpful and encouraging in writing our vows (which I'm sure was a chore for him as I'm an excellent procrastinator.) Additionally, I received comments from at least 5 of our guests along the lines of "Oh, where did you find that guy from your ceremony? He was good, I liked him." All in all, I would recommend Dan to anyone getting married.

I had a small wedding at the golf club and did not have any rehearsal at all. I found Dan on this website and we communicate through emails. He is very responsive and we were able to get the vows done pretty quickly. The first time I met Dan was just 10 mins before the ceremony !
