    Daughters wedding ceremony

My daughter was married there over the weekend. My son in law's family came in from out of town and most stayed at the hotel. They were so accommodating it was amazing. The weather was a problem we ended up with the ceremony inside they adjusted quickly and the ceremony went off without a hitch. all the staff associated with the ceremony and hotel were great. Rooms were very nice and the grounds immaculate.

    Dream wedding

Our original wedding venue fell through and I'm so happy that it did. I was rushing to find a new one and we came across Embassy Suites. When communicating with Janeth she was very easy to get ahold of and emailed back really quickly. My mother and I scheduled an appointment so see the hotel and we fell in love right away. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location for the wedding ceremonies is amazing. Janeth was really professional and kept on top of everything. We did a room block for most of my husbands family and it was perfect. The hotel offers a great complementary breakfast and a happy hour and it was nice for them to stay at the hotel where the ceremony was going to be. My husband and I also came back to do the food tasting and if you get a package they have a cake company that does the cake. He went to the cake company and picked out all the options for the cake. The day of the wedding Janeth called the hotel room to finalize all the plans and to make sure everything would run smoothly. We ended up not having the ceremony outside because it was extremely windy. Janeth and her staff made sure that the ceremony room inside was all put together and you would have never known that it was meant to be outside. We also had a violinist that played for the ceremony and Janeth helped cue when people would be walking out. My husband wanted a Nortena band and a DJ and the hotel was able to accommodate both. Everything was just so amazing and it couldn't have been anymore perfect. Even the staff that served the food and drinks were awesome. Definitely would recommend to anybody.

Flexible, professional and prompt service!!!! 10/10

From start to finish, Janeth and the entire staff were more than accommodating for my huge family that stayed at the hotel! Unfortunately our ceremony on the beach wasn’t able to happen due to weather but the staff was prompt and moved it inside where it was perfect! Thanks again to the entire staff for helping create the most memorable of moments with our loved ones!

    Wonderful service

I am so happy that we decided to have our wedding at Embassy Suites. I was hesitant since so many people I know got married there, but it was the best choice. It is affordable and right on the ocean, and Janeth couldn't be any more helpful! She is on top of everything and doesn't get annoyed with my many emails! We keep changing things, like times and guest room counts, and she just makes it work!

    Wedding of our dreams

    Wedding date - April 6, 2019

Janeth Alvarez and the entire staff were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Very friendly, professional, organized, accommodating, and responded timely. We met several times to discuss the details. Janeth listened to what we wanted and all the details were exactly as planned. The wedding packages were affordable and included many upgrades. Our ceremony was beautiful and romantic overlooking the ocean. Service and food were exceptional! My guests had an phenomenal time. Out of town guests that stayed at the property were very pleased with the large suites. Perfect size for me and my wedding party to get ready. My fiancé and I waited 18 years to get married and could’ve picked a better place to have our wedding and reception.

Claire and her staff have been amazing! I have met with Claire at least 10 times this year as I plan and she always takes time to listen and advise. Menu planning was flexible to meet my budget. Big day is coming up and I'm confident this hotel will be key to the success!

Our wedding reception at the Embassy suites of Deerfield Beach was nothing short of spectacular. We worked with Claire Molinari and she was amazing! She helped to make everything stress-free and enjoyable throughout the entire wedding process. The hotel was flexible with our dates when we were unsure at first when exactly we wanted our wedding day to occur. When the wedding day finally arrived, we brought in our custom made centerpieces and table placements and the fun and friendly staff there assembled them exactly to our specifications helping to make the most important day of our lives become a reality. We used a subtle Harry Potter theme and the hotel highlighted the accents and made it pop without looking cheesy. Overall, we were very pleased with our finished outcome and Embassy Suites helped to make our night unforgettable.

We used Embassy Suites as our block out wedding hotel. They were wonderful and all of our guests enjoyed their stay. We, the bride and groom, were welcomed back to our room with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

The Embassy Suites in Deerfield beach was the perfect place for our wedding reception. All of our our of town guests also stayed there and what a better place than right on the beach! The staff was very helpful and we worked really closely with Alicia Watson who was an amazing coordinator for everything at the hotel. We will always have fond memories there and look forward to going back!

    Sergio & Jeannette wedding 2-22-2022

Everything was perfect, everyone was courteous, helpful and friendly. Although we did have some issues with the parking and room rates towards the end of our stay with some of our guest that need to be addressed.

    Embassy suites experience

I did my wedding at the embassy suites 3 weeks ago and I would like to share my experience with both pros and cons.

    Let’s start with the pros:
    1. All staff members were really nice and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and accommodated.
    2. The views were absolutely stunning, and the ceremony spot was gorgeous.
    3. The room they gave to the bride and groom was fantastic, really spacious, beautiful view, and had great light which helped the makeup artists and hair stylists
    4. The food was really good, the majority of our guests liked it and said the food was really tasty.
    5. We had a lot of guests with diet restrictions and the hotel was amazing in taking care of all the food restrictions we asked for.

    Now the cons:
1 . We wish someone had told us when we booked our wedding (1 year ago) that the hotel would be in construction for renovations during our wedding week. When we arrived at the Embassy Suites 2 days before the wedding the lobby was a mess (but not on our wedding day though) and on our wedding day when I was getting ready with the girls and the moms, the fire alarm went off so myself and all of the hotel guests had to evacuate. Therefore, I had to leave my room in the middle of my hair getting done and in the middle of my Mother-in-law's makeup.
I literally had to leave the hotel with my slippers and robe and hair half done!! It was a false alarm caused by the construction.

    2. We planned everything from distance, so we didn’t get to see the ballroom in person until we did the tasting. The ballroom was really disappointing, it’s really nothing special, kind of old (hopefully it will be part of their renovation project) and we had a few complaints from the guests with respiratory problems that the carpet, when we were dancing, was causing a lot of dust in the air, and causing them to cough. The embassy suites will not provide anything to make the ballroom more attractive, if you want any type of better lighting or decoration to make it look nicer, it will need to come out of your pocket. The only decorating they will provide is the table centerpieces. I tried to ask for a white curtain or something to put on the back of our table… because the wedding coordinator will put your table in front of an exit door (which doesn’t look good obviously) and they were asking us $600 for it.

    3. A lot of things went wrong in terms of organization by the hotel:

    • The one that made me the most upset = very few people HAD CHAMPAGNE FOR OUR TOASTS, including myself and my husband. The servers just started to serve champagne on our 3rd speech!!! Before the 3rd speech no one had champagne to toast with! With this, the bar seemed like a mess and even though I didn’t see it, a few guests said that the bartenders accidentally broke a lot of bottles of alcohol (like vodka, gin, etc..) in the middle of the room.

•Decorations = I took pictures and tried to explain as much as I could about how I wanted everything to look. My advice is don’t waste your time, they won’t organize the decorations exactly how you ask so I wish I would have done the decorations by myself super early in the morning and not let the staff do it. In summation, I was very unhappy about how the decorations turned out.

•More decoration issues = I was very disappointed that the hotel wedding coordinators let my welcome sign blow away! When they were setting everything up outside, I wish they could come up to me and ask “it’s too windy, the welcome sign is blowing away, would you like to move your welcome sign inside the cocktail hour or the reception where there is no wind?” Instead, when I was about to walk down the aisle they came to me and said “I’m sorry we did what we could with your welcome sign, but it blew away with the wind”. It was really annoying because as we know a welcome sign is not cheap and they just let it blow away with the wind with no worries.

    * Ceremony Set Up = I had so many complaints from the guests about how the ceremony was set up. I had 100 guests and they set up the chairs so close to each other, people were complaining that they couldn’t move or feel comfortable in their seats. Also, they put the violinist so close to the guests that everyone on the right side of the ceremony was complaining about how noisy it was. It seems the hotel wedding coordinator wanted to put everyone inside of the boardwalk but what they didn’t realize was people were packed and feeling crowded. Especially our wedding party!! Our wedding party had no space to be next to us. The groomsmen could not line up because the violinist and the sound column were in their way. They put the front row too close to us, I wish they could’ve spread everything out more. Instead, they packed everyone in just 5 rows. I did not like how it looked and just wish they would’ve spread everything out even if they had to go into the grass and outside of the actual boardwalk.

•Missing Items = Towards the end of the wedding a lot of decorations that I bought for the ceremony and cocktail hour went missing. The wedding coordinators were just able to find some of those decorations a week later but the rest was never found or returned.

•Lastly, if you wanna change something in your wedding and the wedding coordinator thinks is not a good idea, just go with your gut! We tried to move the cake table to an area more spacious so those who wanted to see us cutting the cake could do so without being interfered with by the people dancing on the dance floor but our wedding coordinator thought it would not be a good idea so we decided to follow her opinion. Well, what happened was the dance floor was so crowded that no one was able to see us cutting the cake, and the photographer and videographer almost had no space to record the moment. I just remember our moms and another few people came to us and ask “when did you cut the cake?? I completely miss it!”.

To finish, my advice is check the place out first in person before you sign the contract, no matter how good it looks in pictures or FaceTime. Also, always read the reviews first!! If I knew what I knew today, I don’t know if I would have done my wedding where we did at the embassy suites in Deerfield beach.

The original WC had a family emergency and handed over the duties to Jordana, who dropped the ball on multiple occasions. She couldn’t account for her lack of communication. She apologized for not having her phone when we tried to reach call, then said she wouldn’t be available by phone all day because she didn't have pockets. We’d have to leave a message for her, which negates having a coordinator for immediate needs. I wasn’t impressed with the rooms. They were a good size but they weren’t cleaned to the expectation you would have for the price you pay. They smelled old and musty. The wait staff was pleasant. They moved with speed (sometimes too much). They seemed flustered, dropping trays of food and silverware, but they never broke a smile. I got up briefly after salad and when I came back I noticed everyone at my table had food except for me. They remedied it quickly, and apologetically. I was glad I overheard my aunt talking about a breakfast they scheduled for the morning. No one told the guests at check in. My aunt then had to take 30 precious minutes away from her daughter’s reception to make a list of people that needed to be contacted about this over site. At the end of the evening they did a sparkler send off. I don’t know who oversaw this (since Jordana took off after dinner), but it wasn’t executed the way it should have been. Safety went to the way side. They lit the sparklers and didn’t have a bucket of sand or water for them to be extinguished. We sat around holding the hot wires, while others tucked them into a nearby wastebasket. Some people started to walk into the hotel carrying the hot wires, and accidentally burned my 10 yr old niece. It seemed that as the day unfolded so did the lack of communication and attention to detail. Thankfully we had a great team of family and friends that covered the tracks and paved new ways for success to pull off a stunning wedding. Tragic that my aunt had to pay so much money for mediocre service.

The worst people to deal with. Jordana was the person covering our wedding and she was never accessible or was found. There is a gap between all the staff in communication of what is happening and when which makes everything very frustrating. There was a few bright points was Front desk Timothy and Sabina in catering service.

I had my wedding at the hotel in Deerfield Beach, FL this past weekend and I can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I am in how the whole process was. I went through 3 yes, 3 different managers in 6 months. Started with Jordana then went to Alina and ended with Janeth. When I signed my contract I had a day of coordinater that would be assisting me throughout the process which is why I selected this hotel since I’m in Texas. Then I get an email 6 months later saying that they will no longer honor that part of my package anymore. Now I’m beyond stressed and having to come up with another $1200 to hire a coordinator. When the new catering manager started she did make sure that things worked as best they could and she did that well. The wedding day amenity that I was supposed to receive was a bottle of champagne, that would have been great except her and I clearly discussed the fact that I wasn’t staying in that hotel 2 weeks prior to the event she even called me to double check why I canceled my reservations. She didn’t try to compensate at all. The reason I canceled my reservations was I was and am still so devastated on how much worry and stress went into something that should have been a wonderful experience for us. But I was constantly worried something was going to be overlooked or swept under the rug. I hope that you all can make the appropriate changes to this facility so no other brides spend their wedding worried about the hotel leaving them hanging. The reviews are correct on every wedding website... not a good choice and I will also be spreading the word for future brides to stay away from this facility.

Embassy Suites Deerfield Beach Resort & Spa's reply:

I first and foremost want to thank you for sharing your thoughts. I must admit that I was very surprised to read your feedback as it related to our working together to plan your special day along with you not receiving your amenity. From the very first time I was introduced to you after Jordana left and Alina, the event manager, made the introduction, I felt a wonderful connection. It was such a pleasure working with you on your special day despite mother nature’s downpour in the late afternoon. I know how important that was for you to marry outside. Outdoor ceremonies are very dependent on the weather unfortunately.

I do want to take a moment and clarify a few things that you had addressed concern with and one was regarding the employing the service of a wedding coordinator and having to engage the use of one for your wedding. My role as a Catering Manager is to be your point of contact throughout the entire event planning as it relates to the hotel. That encompasses the food, the setup and any questions that may arise from the wedding process.

As it relates to not receiving your wedding day amenity, I was of course disappointed to learn that you had canceled your reservation which then makes sending a special token of congratulations impossible at the resort. However, I did speak with your coordinator the day after and I had extended the invitation to you and your husband, Joseph to dine with us for a special lunch together. I was to understand that you two had plans to spend the day at the beach.

Once again, I was disappointed to learn that we did not meet or exceed your expectations for your special day.

Please feel free to contact me directly to discuss your experience.

    Sincerely,

    The Embassy Suites team

Ask a lot of questions. They were horrendously understaffed in ALL areas. Make sure you ascertain when on site coordinator is available, get EVERYTHING in writing.
Issues with coordinator, food was great but tables served by type of enteee instead of all at once, 1 server to 4 tables, entire trays of food dropped on the floor Long lines at check in, 1 person at desk. Rooms not very clean. Could not get basic questions answered day of wedding because coordinator was not on site and there was no communication regarding who to ask. When she did arrive we could not contact her because she did not carry her phone because she did not have pockets. Her story not mine. Overall, I can't recommend the venue in good faith. Shop around, i really wanted this to be good but I am still waking up at night thinking about what went wrong and how awful I feel for my daughter. I waited a week to write this review for the anger to subside. We will move on but the chaos, confusion and undue stress will remain for quite sometime.
