I just had my ceremony at Elliston and it was wonderful. It had a 60% chance of rain the day of the wedding and they helped me come up with a Plan A, B & C. Luckily we ended up being able to do Plan A, which was the wedding outside. The only thing that I did not like was there was no amplification for music during the ceremony. That is beyond Elliston's control as it is a Sunol, CA rule.

The people working at Elliston were very helpful and very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great outdoor wedding.

My daughter's wedding was held at Elliston Vineyards on July 31, 2010. It was magical. The seclusion at Elliston made us feel as if the rest of the world didn't exist. I was trying to keep the costs at a modest level compared to what I have heard some say they have spent for weddings lately, and I did while putting on the most fabulous wedding I have ever attended. Everything about the day exceeded my expectations. Getting ready in the mansion, the beauty of the garden, the excellent food, and the detailed service provided by the wedding coordinator. We worked with Courtney, but everyone there is wonderful. I can't thank them enough for making my daughter's fairy tale wedding possible. There is absolutely nothing about the day that I could have changed to make it better.

I was really happy with our ceremony and reception at Elliston. Donna, the owner/manager acts as your day-of planner and really takes care of all the little details. The site is just beautiful. My only recommendation for future couples getting married there is to splurge and buy some paper parasols for your guests - mine were looking straight into the sun for the ceremony and we have a lot of pictures of people holding their programs over their heads. Also, our pastor brought his own PA system for the ceremony which made a real difference because it was a little breezy.
We had 2 wines and 2 beers served at the reception - it's not a package they offered initially, so ask about this option. The wines were really good, especially the sparkling wine. You have to book the alcohol through them, that was a large portion of our cost.
My major complaint would be with the caterer. It was exclusively catered by Valley Catering for our wedding, so we couldn't choose another vendor. Some of the food was undercooked, the fish was completely overcooked and they cut our top layer of cake and served it, so we didn't have it to take home. They were a little shady about the charges too, which is my biggest complaint. They would not give us an itemized bill in writing, which I think is weird.
If Elliston goes back to Scott's Catering or another company, I would recommend Elliston without hesitation.
