Ellis Ranch provided us with a carefree and gorgeous venue for our wedding. Everyone in attendance raved on how beautiful and fun the wedding was. The horse and carriage certainly took everyone's breath away. Shawn and Kim, thank you for helping make our wedding so memorable. We recommend you in the highest regard. Ashlie & Charlie

My wife and I just completed our wedding on September 23rd, 2011 at the Ellis Ranch and couldn't have been more happy. Shawn and Kim are fantastic to work with and helped to make our day run smoothly as possible. Even on the day of the event they coordinated the ceremony (along with the DJ) to make everything simply awe inspiring. Shawn also came up during the reception to make sure that everything was going all right.
A big piece of advice - choose your caterers, minister (if possible), photography, and floral from Shawn's preferred vendor list. Not only do these vendors do an amazing job, they know the venue and they know how to run an event there. Our Caterer (Michael's Plum), or Photographer (Kimbal Nelsen), and our Minister (Rev Kent) all did a fantastic job. Shawn and Kim - Thank you for everything!!! Jamie and Craig

This venue is remarkable for the value. both ceremony options are beautiful and Shawn and Kim really make it feel like part of your family it helping to plan the wedding. They are very knowledgeable about the wedding planning process, help you with choosing vendors and invite you in like you have been best friends for ages. Plus, they included the DJ, made ordering invitations easy and have several connections to make planning much easier. I would recommend them to everyone I know.

My husband and I had our wedding at Ellis on September 15, 2011 and it was perfect. Shawn, Kim and the rest of the staff were great, we didn't have to worry about anything. Even when it started to rain Shawn let us know everything would be taken care of and it was. The carriage was a perfect touch to our wedding, it was the wow factor we were looking for. If you or know anyone looking for a beautiful location with a wonderful staff Ellis Ranch is a perfect match.

Truly a wonderful, magical place. They do a great job of preparing you for everything you will need. There is no customization though...all in all their way worked very well.

Ellis Ranch made our wedding perfect! We didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. Everything ran so smoothly and it is such a beautiful venue. Shawn was kind of abrupt at our walk-through and he made me stress a little with everything he was telling us at once. However, at our rehearsal dinner and our wedding day, Mike was the one who was there to help (Shawn and Kim were away that weekend) and he was great! He was so accomodating and relaxed I never thought that anything would go wrong. The only negative thing was that he kept coming up to me during the reception to ask questions. I wish he would have gone to my mom since she knew more of what was going on while I was talking to our guests. But I know he just wanted to make sure the bride was happy! We got married at the event center but we also had our rehearsal dinner at the carriage house. Which worked out so well because they offer great rehearsal dinner packages! I would recommend this place to anyone! You won't be disappointed!

Ellis Ranch was the perfect location for our wedding and I can not say enough wonderful things about Shawn, Kim and the ranch staff. The facility is affordable and so flexible to express your own personal style. Since there is only one wedding in the event center per day it was a great feeling to have all the attention on you and not be distracted by any other brides. Shawn and Kim were great during the planning process and were there to help with any issues or questions on the day of our event. I would recommend the ranch to any bride.

I really don't have any complaints about Ellis Ranch at all. We got married at the Event Center and it was perfect. Everything ran smoothly all day and we didn't have any problems. Shawn was really helpful when we had questions and I would reccomend them to anyone looking for a great place to get married.

The Carriage House at The Ellis Ranch Wedding Park was the most beautiful and amazing venue I could of asked for. My fiance and I had been to 3 weddings together at there larger facility so it was destiny. When he asked me to marry him there was no questioning where we were gonna get married. When I had contacted Ellis Ranch we were the first to book out for the 2010 wedding season for the carriage house. I had almost 2 years to start planning. I had contacted Ellis Ranch several times in those two years and they were always so friendly, easy to talk to and eager to answer all my questions that I had. On the day of the wedding I was stress free and the day went absolutly perfect. Thanks Ellis family for making my special day amazing.

I was supposed to have my wedding at your Ranch on July 24, 2010. Plans changed after my dad was in a motorcycle accident June 12, 2010. In the accident he broke his neck and spine in three place rendering him a quadriplegic and he lost his wife in the accident. When myself and my wedding planner talked with you about the situation and asked I if there was any way we could cancel and get all or some of our money back ($5000). I was disgusted when your company denied both options. I have been working with Shawn since the spring of 2009 and paid in advance for my event. Even though I explained that my dad wouldn’t be able to leave the hospital on that day there for couldn’t be with me on my wedding you still denied my request. I was just shocked, I couldn’t believe that after everything that happened to my dad Ellis Ranch wouldn’t even consider giving back half the money. My family experience was a tragic accident and I felt it deserved consideration of my request especially due to the circumstances. Shawn did offer to let me have the wedding any other day for a year. Well it has been a year and my father passed away 6 months ago after only being home from Craig hospital for 3 months and I had a baby 3 months ago. I would like you to tell me when you think in this year would have been a good time to spend another large amount of money to celebrate? I just still can’t believe this company and how they treated my family. And in this year hasn’t even once tried to contact me for an update. I have reported you to the better business burro and any chance I get tell everyone about these circumstances . 9 news did a piece on my wedding at Craig hospital and I explained how awful this company treated to my family; all the other vendors for my wedding gave back the money given and completely understood the circumstances. I really hope the word gets around about your company as I would never recommend you for any event. If you have any questions please contact me at dipdvr@aol.com Sincerely, Angela Salazar Sams

Angela, Our last communication from you was on July 7, 2010 at 5:11pm and you stated the following: "My dad was transferred here to Denver last week and has just gotten out of ICU. He is still in a multi-trauma unit and then will go to Craig hospital. I'm sorry I haven't called you but things have been happening so fast. The wedding at Ellis ranch unforunately is canceled, I'm sorry but I just can't get married without my dad. We are planning to just do a justice of the piece thing in front of my dad at the hospital and when he is done with Craig we want to have a party at Ellis Ranch to celebrate. I really appreciate your offer for holding the date...I'm just not sure at this point when the party will be so as soon as I figure it out I will let you guys know. Again I'm sorry for everything! any questions please call me." We then called you to let you know that we were offering you up to a year to reschedule your event for no additional charge. We ended our conversation with you stating that you would let us know when you were going to reschedule. We assumed that you would have let us know if you weren't planning on rescheduling or if anything had changed in the mean time. We never stated that you couldn't get any of your money back, but it would have helped by letting us know that you were canceling all-together. We always, no matter what the case may be will try to re-book your date (if we knew you were canceling), and then you would get half of your money back that had been paid at the time of cancelation. This is stated in our contract, and by no means did we decline to give any of your money back because of your circumstances. We in fact remember your circumstances and were very willing to work with you. We even had emailed a few times to check in on you and your family after your initial contact with the Ellis Ranch regarding your circumstances. We are sorry to hear about your losses and in no way did we deny you anything you asked for. The email that you had sent on July 7th did state that you appreciated our offer to hold your date and that you were going to have your party here. From that statement, in no way did it state that you were canceling completely and wanted a refund. We took your statement in the email that you would let us know what your plans were.Angela, Our last communication from you was on July 7, 2010 at 5:11pm and you stated the following: "My dad was transferred here to Denver last week and has just gotten out of ICU. My first impression when I went out to see Ellis Ranch was awful they wanted me to go in and sign the paperwork and didn't even take me around and show me the place. When I asked to do so they seemed put out. Everything worked out very nicely with all my vendors finding the right place, however, DONT LET SHAUN BE IN CHARGE OF YOUR SIGNS! He said that he usually makes them but it looked like a third graders hand writing on posterboard. Make your own signs and bring them in. Also, the signs were hard to follow, make sure that you make it easy for your guests to get there.
They definately overcharged us for the rehearsal dinner for what was provided. I actually didn't get any food, I waited to go last so all my guests could get some but then Shaun and his family went through and ate the food that I paid for also! They kicked us out quickly even though we paid to have it longer. He was really rude at the bar to some of my guests. Day of, the decorations that I had ordered were the wrong color and I used one of their preferred vendors. No one was around the whole day until about 2:00. Everything went smooth due to good planning, but my husband was very disappointed when they took us off in the horse carriage and pulled us out into a field full of horse poop to take pictures. Throughout the night, Shaun was bugging me for everything and ended up serving the 2 bottles of wine that we had brought for the toast and as a gift to my grandparents so they did not get their gift. He closed the bar down really early for no reason. Once we left, he wouldn't give the alcohol back to us and my family basically had to fight him for it. He tried to take all he could, he kept the mixers in his house so we couldn't get those and kept all of our left over cups. They took some of our food to keep for themselves for later and rushed my mom in her clean up afterwords. Overall, they were rude and not the best people to work with. They overcharge for what little service they provide. The venue is nice and we had a good wedding but the people were not great to work with.

We would recommend Ellis Ranch Wedding Park to friends and family, even strangers. Our experience was incredible! We also received many compliments about the venue from our in state and many out of state guests.
Shawn was an absolute pleasure to work with EVERY step of the way. He's the reason we chose Ellis Ranch for the beginning of our marriage. Planning a wedding can be stressful and the Ellis Ranch staff made it easy for us, especially Shawn. When my family came to see the venue ahead of time, they left saying, "What a nice guy." The quality of service and value of cost were hands down better than any venue in the area. Shawn and Kim also made our wedding day awesome when they bartended. They were like one of the family - we loved it! Thank you!

I absolutely loved the location, and the service that we received. We were married in the Carriage House, and it was so beautiful and intimate. The day ran so smoothly, fast, but smooth. They were so helpful in offering the right necessities to help alleviate a lot of the little stress, which let me worry about other things.Would recommend to anyone who is getting married
