My wedding was perfect. After consulting many wedding planners in Puerto Rico, Karishna was my best choice. She was energetic, dependable and very attentive. I would recommend her to any bride looking for a affordable wedding planner with a good attitude.

Absolutely wonderful. My experience was great. She is a funny young girl who plans really nice weddings. She made me a budget list and stuck through it. It was a wedding that exceeded my expectations.

She recommended great vendors and they did a great job too!

Karishna is one of the best people I have ever met. Regardless of being my wedding planner. She is confident and she is resourceful, when other people are not. She planned my wedding with professionalism, a caring nature and an overal great attitude.Karishna answered my phone calls, my emails and even my friends calls on the day of the wedding.

Her father was sick for the months of my wedding and she managed to take care of both with no problems.

I am actually very happy with the services that were provided to me. I had very good communication with her and she gave me some good ideas for my budget wedding. I am very thank full for the vendors that were provided and how everything came out. I would recommend her with no reservations. The hotels in Puerto Rico are a little difficult and she dealt with everything for me. I am very happy with every single step.

We even met in NY a couple of months before the wedding!

Let me start by saying I have never posted a review, but I feel it's my duty to warn other future brides. I too found Karishna through this website and was excited to work with her. On the phone she has a great bubbly personality which leads you to believe she is as excited about your wedding as you are. But please don't be fooled. When it got down to business I was left with lots of empty promises, unrelpied emails, and unreturned phone calls. But lucky for me, I actullay came to my senses 3 months prior to my wedding...I gave her the pink slip and hired a FABULOUS wedding planner to pick up where Karishna never started!
Here are a few examples of our "miscommunications" (as she likes to call them)

#1 Soon after hiring her 9 months prior to my wedding, I informed her that my mom & I were planning a trip to PR in 2 months inorder to get things started. She did set up meetings with vendors for us but I also expected to meet with her. As the date approached I received an email stating that she would not be able to meet with us (she would be in NJ) but "her assistant" would accompany us with our scheduled meetings with the vendors. Long story short, no "assistant" met with us.

#2 There was a period of about an entire month where I could not get in contact with her either by phone or email. I later received an apology saying it was due to a "breakup" between her and her boyfriend!! (that really showed her age!)

#3 She said she would be in LA, Ca. for a weekend in May and would like to meet with me. I requested the weekend off from work in anticipation to meet with her. She gave me the name and # of the hotel. Did not hear from her & when I called the hotel no one by her name was there. According to her "her phone did not work."

#4 I was planning a 2nd trip to PR in Aug. and asked when in Aug. would be good for her. She said anytime. I booked my flight & planned to be there for 6days. I called to confirm my arrival dates with her and she said "Oooh, that's not a good week, that's my birthday week!" My response was "Everyday?!" She then says: my boyfriend booked something for me and I don't think I can get out of it." After that statement I realized I was working with a young, immature, unprofessional, person. Soon after that I had to let her go.

#5 Throughout the entire process I had to beg her for "what's next," for contracts from vendors, I felt like I was dragging her along this process. Because of her lack of production, she inherited the name KarishNONE.

In a nutshell this is what she did for me for the 6mos she was my planner:

#2 Photographer
#3 DJ

Please take my advice, don't waste your time or Money.

Karishna is a very professional girl who deals with her brides in a very personal way. She and I met a couple of times before the wedding. She handled everything within a timely manner. My wedding was flawless.. I would gladly recommend. Very open communication, even on the wedding day. I had a 150 guest wedding and couple of pre-wedding events and all were handled very well. All my guests are still raving about my wedding and about the detailed attention by the wedding planner.

I found Karishna on this website and was thouroughly impressed by her personal website. Then I realized the pictures were just credit to the photography. I was deployed to Iraq when I hired her and thought she would take alot of the stress off of me. She just ADDED to it. She never answered my emails and if there was later an issue on something we discussed over the phone she just denied the conversation ever occurred. If its not in email it didnt happen apparently. She was LATE to the wedding and I didnt hear from her all day.

We got married near the beach so it was windy. Because it was windy, she didnt decorate or anything.

She was so absent, that the day before the wedding, the venue asked me if she was still my wedding planner.

We had cakes for every table. They were terrible and looked nothing like what we requested. The large cake that we cut, didnt look like the picture I sent, and was the same size as all the small cakes.

Run for it!!! She is terrible and I think I would have saved alot of money if I would have done it myself. And i would have been happier.

We asked Karishna and AKP Events to plan a small, intimate ceremony on the beach and a small reception with great food and very simple, clean decor. That is exactly what we got. Karishna had beautiful ideas for simple decor and colors and everything was perfect. A++ for Karishna and AKP Events as well as the San Juan Water and Beach Club.

LVK Events provided great service. Our day went off without a glitch. They were very attentive, flexible and most importantly stuck to our budget. It was a pleasure working with them.

CAN YOU SAY DREAM WEDDING!?

I REALLY COULD HAVE NOT PULLED IT OFF WITHOUT HER... SHE IS A DOLL. SHE MESSAGED ME EVERYDAY WITH CONSTANT UPDATES... I HAD A BUDGET AND WE MET IT...

I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AKP EVENTS TO ANYONE HAVING A DESTINATION WEDDING... AND IF YOUR DOING IT IN PR CONSIDER THE WATER CLUB....

Karishna pulled together a great group of professionals for our wedding renewal. They were not just vendors, they were all real, warm, caring people making our special day beautiful.

My wedding was a complete success... I had a 3 day wedding event and it went flawlessly...

Wedding Planner:
Karishna provided excellent service. She was responsive, committed, and excited for me all the time. Our guests were treated like kings and queens and we could not have had a better experience. We dealt with emails. I never visited the island before the wedding and I was extremely happy with the service.

Bridal Affairs:

Hair and Makeup - I had hair and makeup done 6 times during the events and I was feeling beautiful on all days.

Dress - My dress was perfectly pressed by Antoine's Cleaners. I gave it to Karishna upon arrival and she delivered it back without a flaw the next morning.


Flowers and Decorations:

Karishna provided with an elegant design for the wedding that met my budget and my vision. It was executed perfectly and I was overjoyed when I saw it. My guests are still talking about it...

Venue:
I was married at La Concha Hotel, I was more than content with the food, the space and the responsiveness of Jessica Rivera.

Photographer:
Karishna gave me a wide variety of the vendors for the wedding and I picked Raquel Torres, who created a vision for me... The choice was amazing and I was very happy.... The proofs were amazing.

Sorry Brides, I did use a videographer but I met with Mirna from Ferer Video and she was excellent.

For all you brides and grooms.... This is an excellent wedding planner and her vendors are great.

I received the most professional service, under the best cost.... The team is great and I would highly recommend them to anyone.... Young, fresh, and pocket friendly ideas that are incredible.
