    I was referred to Amy and Ashley by my girlfriend who was a bridesmaid of another mutual friend and I'm so glad that I decided to go with them. Ashley was really quick to set up our initial call, go over what I thought I wanted and helped set me up with all other vendors like our photographer, florist, DJ/lighting, etc. With no knowledge of the industry/connections and planning a wedding period, we admitted we were like a blank slate, but they were both really good about explaining time frames, connecting us with the right people, making sure everyone was on the same page, and explaining what had to be taken care of immediately and what could wait.

    It was a little scary at first because you're trusting a team of individuals to go off of a dream you've created in your mind and execute what one would imagine only you could envision. They KILLED IT! From other friends who got married, I heard that we should expect something to go other than planned whether it was the cake, timing, other vendors, etc. However, everything went off without a hitch and was literally what we planned - from music queues, timing for pictures with the guests, cake-cutting, and of course having fun. I didn't expect both Amy and Ashley to be there, but I was happy I had the chance to work with both and that they could see the finished product in person. Although, we went over what we thought our budget was, it was worth it. Five months later and we still hear compliments from guests on how beautiful they thought everything was. Thank you!!!

    Ashley was wonderful! She is so sweet and with her help the big day ran seamlessly! She was easy to work with and gave me confidence that I wouldn't have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding. We were so happy to have her be a part of our big day and would highly recommend Ashley and her team! :)

    We were referred to Ashley and eighteenth ave events by a mutual friend, we had no idea what type, where, or any idea of how to plan the wedding. Ashley and her team worked hard to help us create our dream wedding. She was so patient with us during the whole process...she helped us look for the best possible vendor choices while keeping our budget in mind. We were really impressed with Ashley during the planning process but the day of the wedding she totally blew us away...from seeing everything put together and looking like it was straight out of a magazine, to being super organized, super & punctual she made our special day a dream come true and we didn't have to worry about a thing! She really has a special design eye, and we are so happy we chose her and her team!

    Ashley was everything we needed in a planner. From prior to the start of our partial service contract, she was already on top of it and getting us on track to get everything done ahead of schedule and with as little stress as possible. The day of the wedding was seamless and everything was handled without any concerns or need for us to do anything. She and her staff handled it all! She met every expectation and created an event beyond what we had even imagined ourselves.

    All I can say is AMAZING!! Ashley was such a pleasure to work with, a true sweetheart. She went above and beyond to help me make my wedding what I had hoped for and more! When it came to the day of, her and her team made everything flow so smoothly..even my guests mentioned that. I would HIGHLY recommend Eighteenth Avenue Events to anyone!!

    I could not have done this without Ashley. My situation was a bit unique because my husband and I were living in SF, got engaged and started the planning process. Shortly after we secured our date and venue, we found out that we were moving to Austin Texas for work and suddenly we had a destination wedding on our hands. Ashley was my right hand. She was absolutely incredible. Not only did I find the best wedding coordinator, but Mike and I found a friend (cheesy but true). Thanks again for everything, Ashley. You are truly amazing at what you do!

    I would highly recommend Ashley and her team at Eighteenth Avenue Events. Our daughter's wedding was perfect and stress free thanks to Ashley. From beginning to end Ashley kept everything running smoothly. She is very organized, professional and I totally enjoyed working with her. The wedding was a memorable ocassion and it is evident through her enthusiasm that Ashley definitely loves her job.
    We truly appreciate all the hard work she and her team put into making this wedding so special!

    Thank you for all of your support. Your experience and talent as a wedding planner shined throughout the day as you managed to care for the bride and grooms needs, even with situations that were out of your control.

    What really stood out to me was your care for all of the contracted workers. You demonstrated effective communication by keeping us in constant awareness of the schedule, through its many changes. You recommended placings fir different segments of the event. Finally, you provided us with an amazing meal.

    The moment that stood out for me, was when you asked if I would like the Church doors to be closed to remove the backlighting. Wow. Talk about customer service, attention to detail, and experience with vendors. That one action demonstrated the quality of service you provide, not only to the bride and groom, but to vendors.

    Thank you again Ashley. It was a pleasure meeting you.

    Ashley Ramirez, owner of Eighteenth Avenue Events, went above and beyond what you'd expect for a baby shower hosted at someone's home. Her attention to every last detail was impeccable. She provided decor in my exact nursery color scheme, and even personalized the event by using baby photos of me and my husband! The food, decorations and games were all very creative, fresh and exciting. She is truly a master event planner in any arena!

    Ashley Ramirez of Eighteenth Avenue Events is amazing! My husband and I got married on July 14th at the Bently Reserve in downtown San Francisco. It’s been one month since our big day and we are still on cloud nine. Everything about our wedding was perfect. I cannot thank Ashley enough for making the details, design and vendors come together so flawlessly… and for helping to make the planning process fun and enjoyable for me, my husband and my parents. My family is still receiving letters and phone calls from guests, not only gushing over the beauty of our event, but the small details that made it one of the classiest, fun and enjoyable weddings they have ever attended. I’m of course biased, but I could not agree more!

    My mom and I started planning on our own and decided to hire a wedding planner a few months into the process. Ashley came highly recommended by a good friend and after our initial meeting; I knew that I had nothing to worry about. I expressed my vision for the wedding to Ashley and she, just simply, made it happen. Ashley was there to answer every question in a timely manner and was amazing in sending ideas and giving suggestions (but never pushed anything that I wasn’t 100% on!)… it was the prefect balance of guidance and support. As we got closer to the wedding day, Ashley communicated with all of our vendors, organized all contracts, and took care of all of the “business” so that we did not have to worry about a thing. My mom and I were very, very, very picky/specific about details. Ashley was always patient with us and never hesitated to drive into the city for the 4th, 5th, etc. walk through or a quick 10 minute meeting with a vendor. I was very impressed with Ashley’s attention to detail, professionalism, creativity and enthusiasm throughout the planning process and I cannot thank her enough for making our wedding day completely STRESS FREE.

    I have never written a review before but am compelled to do so today.
    My daughter was married last weekend, July 14,2012 at the beautiful Bently Reserve in San Francisco, CA. We had attempted, earlier on, to handle preparations on our own but quickly realized that help was definitely needed. Ashley Ramirez of Eighteenth Avenue Events was recommended by a friend and, thankfully, she came to our rescue!

    From the moment we enlisted her services to the final moments of a celebration we will cherish forever, Ashley was present and invaluable. She immediately availed herself to the few vendors we had contacted and then confidently led the way in continuing to piece together all of the elements that resulted in a perfect wedding. My daughter and I had no idea of the complexities of planning such an event so, when an issue arose and we felt helpless, we simply looked to Ashley to ask the question, provide the answer or guide us in the decision.....she never failed us. Without her expertise, guidance, instincts, patience and attention to detail, we would not have experienced, STRESS FREE, the magical and memorable moments of this very special day. Thank you Ashley! We truly appreciate all your hard work and will sing your praises to all who will listen!

    Ashley was amazing! As the groom, I was a little nervous that my bride-to-be would be stressing the week of the wedding, especially since we were having a destination wedding. I was so relieved that she wasn't stressed at all. She just kept saying how amazing Ashley was. While my bride was mostly pleased with how well the details turned out, my biggest impression was how well she negotiated contracts and pricing. I was impressed by how many great contacts she has and how she was able to leverage those to get us great deals and fantastic service. She definitely has a great reputation in her field. Also, Ashley was very patient and professional the day of the wedding. I love how she doted on my wife the day of the wedding. Ashley is very talented at what she does and I highly recommend her!

    I couldn't have worked with someone more professional, organized, creative & enthusiastic. I can't even begin to thank Ashley for all hard work, my wedding was flawless and everything I could have dreamed of because of her attention to detail and professionalism. She was always thinking of new innovative ideas to help make my big day that much more memorable & different than other weddings.     Eighteenth Avenue Events helped us plan both our destination wedding and our hometown reception. When planning a destination wedding, there come challenges and Ashley was able to make everything seemless. We started this journey knowing where we wanted to get married in the Mayan Riveria, but I knew the challenges we were up against with the language barrier and me being a very visual person. Ashley was there for me to draw diagrams and help pick out all designs and send them to the resort for me. Our event turned out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Most brides and everyone that knows me can be a bit stressed on their wedding day, but I can honestly say I was completely relaxed knowing that every detail was reviewed. We look back on that day with nothing but beautiful memories. Our Dallas reception was much larger and she played a key role in all the details that made our reception unique. I highly recommend Eighteenth Avenue Events!!

    I had the opportunity to work with Eighteenth Avenue Events for a bridal shower. I found the owner to be very creative, used innovative ideas for the theme, provided unique details for the event. In addition, they cumin ated all throughout the event planning process both with emails and phone calls in a timely manner. My guest were "Wowed" with the decor presentation, catered foods, cake, and entertainment.

    Mother of the Bride - As a mother of two sons and one daughter, you want your daughter's wedding to be as she always dreamed it to be. Ashley did that for us! My daugher, Rachael, wanted a Spanish theme wedding to honor her heritage, Ashley would come back with wonderful ideas to carry the theme throughout. We didn't know where to begin in the planning process, other than the dress, where do you start? There are so many details we are not aware of during the planning, but Ashley sure knew! When we decided on a particular vendor,Ashley was there to negociate the best prices for us to stay within budget and she would have the signed contract back to us within forty eight hours if not sooner. Ashley was always right on top of thing. During the wedding ceremony and reception Ashley made sure that everything ran smoothly and on time. We did not have to worry about anything. Whatever we needed Ashley was there!! She is the BEST. I don't know what we would have done without Ashley to guide us through the whole process. Ashley made my daughter's wedding, the wedding of her dreams!! Ashley we can not thank you enough!

    From the father of the brides' view -

    He comes to your house and asks permission to marry your daughter. The many emotions come over you. Then... she calls with the BIG news!!!!! Emotions run high.. Who,how where and what beging to come at your fast and furious. For me the next emotion was "how am I going to afford this weddig. My only daughter and my wife and I want to give her the dream wedding without breaking the bank. So when my daughter came to us and wanted ot hire a wedding planner you can imagine my thoughts...

    As usual the daughter won and introduced us to Ashley Ramirez. Ashley was a no pressure planner and had our very best interests in mind to ensure we got the wedding of our dreams at a price we can afford.

    As the wedding day approached, every little detail began to hit us and most of the time we were.."wow glad Ashley brought this up as we had no idea.." As we approached the month of and then the week of, Ashley went into high gear to make sure even the smallest detail was handled and at times without our knowledge to any issues or concerns!

    Here we are at the rehearsal then to the wedding day - we were able to focus on our daughter and enjoy the event. EVERYTHING was handled by Ashley. Timing, making sure all the vendors were in place, ready on time to make this day a very special day!

    EVERYONE who knows us looks forward to our parties and this was the best party of them all! We DID NOT have to worry about a thing. Only enjoy the moment.

    As the father of the bride- Would I bring in Ashley again for another wedding? ABSOLUTLY without quesiton if we did not have Ashley we would not have had the truly great experience of the wedding.

    To all the fathers of the brides to be... PLEASE enjoy the time.. let Ashley handle all your wedding planning and the experience of a lifetime will bring you wonderful memories and... Ashley WILL keep you in budget, on time and when you walk down the aisle ask Ashley for the "groom surpise" at the beginning of the walk! It will bring tears of joy to everyone at the ceremony!.........

    Eighteenth Avenue Events came to my aid for me and my wedding and had it all go off without a hitch! Words cannot express how extremely helpful Ashley was in finding me all of the perfect vendors. Being busy with work and planning a wedding in a different city, I couldn\'t imagine a better experience for my wedding. I expressed to Ashley my wants and needs for the wedding and poof - there was a list of vendors in my email! She took care of all of the details, including finding several quotes from various vendors and helped me to make the best decisions based on her expertise. \r\n\r\nI have no idea how many other weddings Eighteenth Avenue Events was busy planning, but Ashley made me feel like I was the only one. To be honest, I can\'t imagine how she had time to do anything else! Her professionalism and attention to detail was stellar - I couldn\'t have dreamt of anything better. \r\n\r\nIf you\'re like me and have been dreaming of your wedding since you were little, I would highly recommend Eighteenth Avenue Events to help plan your perfect day!!

    I have to admit, I was one of those brides who thought I could go without day-of coordination. My venue had a phenomenal catering/event coordinator and I was doing most of the planning, so what would I need them for? Then I spoke with more and more brides who went with/without and realized that there's a huge difference and value add to having a dedicated coordinator (venue coordinators typically take care of everything coming from the venue while independent coordinators take care of everything under the sun). Thus I began my hunt for the perfect coordinator. I grilled them on everything from what to do if the DJ didn't show up to what would they do if the bartender was rude to guests, and the only one (out of a good pool of well regarded coordinators in the bay area) who inspired my confidence was Ashley and Amy. They were sharp, professional, and was able to put me at ease. Ashley worked remotely to ensure our timeline and details were perfect while Amy was with me day of to execute - and I really don't know what I would have done without either one of them! Amy was easy going and fun but was also able to keep the group inline and on time. In addition to falling in love with Amy, I loved that their package included a "month of" option that was perfect for my budget and needs. It allowed us just enough time to sync on all the details ahead of time so that we weren't frantic on the week leading up to the wedding. It's impossible to list off everything they did. Big to small - confirming with vendors to setting up escort cards, being there for rehearsal to properly affixing my veil, they were always on top of it and I couldn't be more grateful!
