What an amazing time we had. From the minute we sat down with Jake we were comfortable. My wife and I are very particular people and had many questions in the beginning, but Jake had all the answers there for us. The decision was made right after that meeting. Our reception location is not a popular spot for weddings, it’s more known for dinner. Jake had been there before and remembered something where the restaurant had dropped the ball, he then called ahead to give us a heads up. It would not have been a problem but his attention and care confirmed that we had made the right choice. Jake did an amazing job keeping people on the dance floor. He took into consideration things going on within the room and was flexible with his and our schedule to accommodate little and last minute hiccups and restaurant delays. The night of the wedding was wonderful. The dance floor was busy all night with even both grandmothers dancing on the floor. We had rented a shuttle bus for our guest to get to and from the hotel and had two shuttle runs; the first at 9:00 pm and the last at 11:00 pm. The first shuttle never happened. No one wanted to leave. Jake was sensitive, and worked well with our mixed culture reception and played the right mix of all the music to keep everyone happy. Dream Day DJs was one of the smoothest parts of our wedding. Do yourself a favor and go with them!

Jake was the perfect DJ for our event! We heard every song we asked for and the dance floor was packed for more than 3 solid hours. I had more fun than I could ever imagine. He is so prepared and even had to deal with a last minute change at the reception site where he did not get in until an hour after he was supposed to. I would recommend him to my closest friends and family. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

My husband and I were extremely pleased with the quality of service that Jake privided for our reception. He was very willing to meet any of the requests (as "unique" as we requested) that my husband and I wished for. He returned calls promptly and was very professional and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend Jake to anybody looking for DJ services!

Jake from Dream Day DJ's did an amazing job at our wedding. Jake DJ'd for both the ceremony and the reception and all of it was perfect. Not only did he help us through the planning process, but he even personally re-cut our grand entrance and first dance songs so they would be perfect for the occasion. I was also surprised to find out from the location owners that Jake and Gina had even stopped by the day before to evaluate the venue. Everything was done with professionalism and exactly the fun atmosphere we were shooting for. Our guests can't stop talking about what a great time they had!
We also hired Gina for day-of-coordination, and I honestly don't know what we would have done without her. Together with Jake they kept everything moving smoothly and discreetly let us know everything that was coming up next. She cued us for the ceremony, showed us how to stand for wedding cake pictures, and a million other things that you don't realize you don't know how to do until you have to do them. Gina was also very concerned about our well-being and made sure we were comfortable all night, even bringing us drinks and tracking us down if we wandered off. Her help was invaluable.
I would recommend both Jake and Gina to anyone looking to have a fun and stress-less wedding night. Thank you very much, guys!

If the occasion should ever arise that I need a DJ again, I will be sure to contact Dream Day DJ’s featuring Jake Ritchie. Planning a wedding can be very overwhelming and finding a DJ is one of the many factors that can add to the stress. Thankfully we found Jake. His attention to detail is amazing. I didn’t realize all of the items that many people take for granted during a wedding and reception. Jake had so many suggestions for ceremony music and for the reception. He listened to our requests and provided us with ideas that would help make the evening flow without pause. In addition to music recommendations, Jake gave us ideas to help keep people on the dance floor. The wedding and reception were a huge success and we owe a great deal of the credit to Jake. I highly recommend Jake for your special event.

Jake was excellent. From the moment that he started playing music, the dance floor was full. He was able to work in the type of music and songs we specifically requested, and had his own mix of music to get people going. Our guests had nothing but compliments for the music and about how much fun they had at the reception. Also, Jake was able to get people dancing without the cheezy songs (e.g., Chicken Dance), and he was very responsive to our specific requests. He is quality and dependable, and he was certainly a part of the wedding planning that we did not have to worry about the instant after signing him.

Thank you so much for being the DJ at our wedding. Everything went perfect with the music. I couldn't have asked for anything more. The variety of music was great. He was very professional and I really liked how he took control of everything. With everything that is on your mind on your wedding day, he took off a lot of the pressure. We found Jake Ritchie to be cooperative, professional, and exceedingly talented. We were immediately impressed by his technical skill and professional demeanor. During the last hectic days leading up to the ceremony, Jake was patient and phenomenally cooperative. Due to a last minute request of the venue owner, Jake was relegated to the back room. He took it all in stride, making the most of the new venue. He went well above what we expected of him. Our guests loved the music, and had a wonderful time. I would recommend Jake to anyone who wants a quality DJ for their wedding reception.

Jake was very accommodating, flexible, and worked very hard to understand exactly what type of wedding atmosphere we were after. He nailed it perfectly, and in addition, did a great job helping out with all the other aspects of the wedding, including directing guests, and unobtrusively helping to keep the flow of events moving and on time.

Jake was the DJ for our wedding in May 2007. In interviewing DJs it was important that the individual be highly professional, experienced, and discreet. As the bride, I needed someone that could be relied on 100% to be timely and deliver w/o worries. The top DJ in DC was twice his rate and had several "extra" charges, which concerned me. We took our chances w/Jake and I went w/my gut intuition that he'd be great. Well, he wasn't just great...he was EXCELLENT! He researched songs (my husband's Australian) that were enthusiastically danced to, he was extremely punctual, returned all of my phone calls quickly, worked seamlessly w/the wedding coordinator and pianist, used a supurb sound system (not the cluncky obnoxious ones from good ol' days). He also worked w/my friend to set up their laptop w/his sound system and he even rented a projector for the day (and didn't charge a dime for his time) to make the experience that much more stress free. He presented the mike when appropriate for the toasts and didn't play "the macarena" or other cheezy or non-danceable requests by some of my guests (as requested by me).
Needless to say, I would highly recommend Jake to anyone. My mother (who does NOT even like DJs) would recommend him and the guests loved him, too.

Jake was extremely professional and provided excellent service. We had a few things go awry and he adjusted well without skipping a beat. He was really instrumental in making things "right" for us and he did it willingly with a smile.

Jake was great! He did the ceremony music, music for the cocktail hour, and the music for the reception. He also acted as Master of Ceremonies. He was very professional and everything went very smooth. Everyone had a good time and danced all night. I highly recommend him. You will have a good time if you choose Jake to be your DJ.

We received many compliments on the music! There was not one moment when we noticed the dance floor empty and the variety of music Jake played was excellent for the mix of guests we had. My husband's sister even mentioned to me that it was the first time she had seen one of her daughters on ANY dance floor!! Every time we see someone that was at our wedding we get compliments on how much fun they had and how much they danced! I had a great time and Jake definitely played all the music we requested. Jake even put together a unique entrance song for us by using our favorite Guns ‘n Roses song “Mr. Brownstone.” I was truly impressed with Jake's work and we definitely got a bargain when we hired him. I've since recommended him to many of my friends & family

We used Jake for our wedding, and he was wonderful! When we called about hiring him, he came to our home and met with us to tell us about his service. He gave us lots of information and ideas for music, which was extremely helpful. On the day of the wedding, he helped our reception go extremely smooth. He kept things moving from the minute it started. I refer Jake to everyone that has asked about a DJ.
