My husband and I were married on 08/01/2015 at the DoubleTree at Willow Valley. The day that we went to look at the venue, I knew I had to get married there! We were beyond pleased with Victoria and Eric's attentiveness throughout the entire process. They were very accommodating and flexible. The night of the wedding, I did not have to worry about any of this logistics, everything was taken care of by them! It was so nice to just relax and enjoy the company of family and friends. I would highly recommend this venue for both the ceremony and reception. Many of my friends and family complimented on how beautiful the landscaping was along with the Chapel and Palm Court.
DoubleTree was the perfect venue for our wedding. The staff was great and our guests loved Palm Court! We did hear some guests say the food was a little on the cold side by the time it was served, but that would be our only complaint. Victoria is great to work with and they listen to any unique requests that you may have. We loved the intimate feeling of the chapel for our ceremony. We would recommend DoubleTree to anyone who is looking for venue in the Lancaster area.
When I got engaged in October of 2013, I had no idea where I wanted to be married but all that I knew was that I wanted to have the ceremony and reception at the same place. Most of our family and friends were from out of state and out of town and I did not want to hassle them with traveling from one venue to another and knew a hotel would be our best option. However, I looked at other hotels and could not imagine having my wedding in a separate banquet room (requiring a LOT of extra work on my part) and my mother wanted me to be married in a church. I came to find out about the Willow Valley DoubleTree Resort by Hilton from my soon-to-be father-in-law who had stayed at the property many times for business. From the moment I set foot on the property, I knew this was the PERFECT location for our wedding day. The chapel, the property and the hotel facilities were all GORGEOUS!
During our planning process, a few months before our wedding the wedding coordinator left for another opportunity at another local resort. My anxiety started to rise quite a bit, however, one month before our wedding I met with the newly hired wedding coordinator, Victoria. Upon meeting with Victoria, my anxieties quickly disappeared as she completely exceeded all expectations!
Our wedding day/weekend couldn't have been more perfect or beautiful! And a lot of that is thanks to Victoria and the rest of the staff (ie. Nicole- Banquet Manager, DJ-A/V attendant, and Jen Katke-Group Reservations). Our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was (specifically the raspberry brie bites, coconut chicken, potato & leek soup, and filet & chicken combo plated meal). The service provided by the banquet staff was top-notch which was just the icing on the cake! I could go on and on about how amazing our experience was but I am running out of room! Future brides, you will not regret choosing this venue for your wedding day!!
Everyone at the Lancaster DoubleTree was absolutely amazing! We could not have asked for a better wedding venue. They were very accommodating, pleasant, and a joy to share our special day with. Kris and her team worked so hard and made our day one we will remember for the rest of our lives!
The DoubleTree was an awesome place to have our wedding. Everyone was so friendly and quick to respond to questions. It could not have been any better.
Our wedding was picture perfect thanks to the awesome staff at Double Tree Resort. Kris Becker is exceptionally wonderful to work with. The whole team went above and beyond our expectations.
Loved my wedding but some of the people were very hard to work with .
The music tech guy at the church was simply amazing. He gave us tips on our rehearsal, had amazing songs to choose from. He was profession/flexible. The ceremony was flawless -everything was on point! The tech guys at the hall was amazing was well, he stuck around after one hour to make sure everything was on and working.
I was planning on hiring a on-day coordinator for the reception. I was told that doubletree would provide this service, so I didn't hire my own. On my wedding day, I did not see/meet my coordinator and the lady who planned the details with me was on vacation, so I had the short end of the stick. The planning was smooth, but the execution was not successful. The location is beautiful but the wedding day service was poor and it became stressful.
My husband asked the doubletree staff to let him know when the flower arrive, we never got the memo. All of wedding pictures were done without our bouquets. when we went back to check if the flowers arrived, -the flowers were just sitting behind the front desk, the whole time! Their was no utensils for the cake cutting. After I cut the cake I realized their was no spoon or fork, so just used my fingers to feed him. (everyone was singing the cake cutting song and staring, so I was going to make a scene) They removed the seating cards before my bridal party came to the hall, so my bridal party had no idea were to sit. That was a pain. Also the table numbers was wrong, my husbands family was in the middle and his cousin with a bunch of kids was next to us (switched). We had singer/speeches and a comedian -with the kids screaming near the stage/us , it was disruptive. -By a bride ...
Be Prepared to be complained against for music playing. We were told we could have music from 6pm-10pm but at around 830pm we were told that the hotel received complaints from hotel guests and we needed to turn down our volume.
From the very beginning everyone at Double Tree was wonderful. We met with Kris who is the wedding coordinator. She answered all of our questions and was always available to talk if we needed her. The employees at the hotel were amazing, they did anything we asked of them and were very accommodating to our needs.
The Double Tree is a little bit pricey but the food was amazing, the staff was very helpful and understanding of last-minute changes and conflicts, and the facilities were beautiful. They did an amazing job and I think it was completely worth the price.
Chris was great to work with very helpful. The chapel was nice. I would recomend the Double Tree Resort.
This was the perfect venue for my wedding! They had beautiful facilities, were very professional, and offered a good price for what you got. It was especially nice to have the wedding and the reception at the same venue because it reduced a lot of the stress. Kris, the catering manager was wonderful to work with and made the whole wedding planning experience go very smoothly. I would highly recommend this venue!

I highly recommend this venue and to utilize both the wedding ceremony and reception locations. Not only is it highly convenient to all your guests, but it's a great value as well. I couldn't be more pleased with the staff through out the whole process, including the actual wedding. Each person was truly working to create my perfect day. Each and everything I asked for specifically, that was outside the standard guidelines were met. All of our guests loved both locations and raved over the delicious dinner meal that was served. I wouldn't have changed anything about the night!!
Thank you, Amie! So glad to read your wedding day went well. Congratulations!

Willow Valley was great. When there was an issue, they took care it of immediately and were calm and very professional. They were at our side throughout the entire reception making sure the bride, groom and our family was taken care of! They even brought us a jug of water to our room after the wedding because we had lost our voices from having such a good time! The venue is beautiful and is worth every penny!
Congratulations on your recent wedding! We hope you've both got your voices back. Thank you for sharing your experience on Wedding Wire. Kristin O'Connor, Guest Relations; firstname.lastname@example.org, (717) 464-7503
Because we had to stay at the hotel for two nights, my daughter was supposed to get the bridal suite but the hotel placed her on the first floor with the conference rooms. By the time they found another room, they placed her right next door to the parent's room. When you book the hotel ten months in advance, I would think they would have the bride's room saved for her. It was very stressful and I think this could have been avoided if the front desk knew what was going on.
I'm truly sorry for the inconvenience regarding the overnight rooms. It was definitely an oversight, and not something that typically happens. If there is anything I can further help you with, please let me know: Kristin O'Connor, Guest Relations; (717) 464-7503, email@example.com
